The gas will pass (tee-hee)...literally. I'm assuming the bowels have moved since surgery, and I'm assuming you're using Gas X? The gas they pump into your abdomen gets partially absorbed into the digestive tract and then it comes out one end or the other. The anesthesia also messes up your system. The triple whammy is the post op diet. Until you're back on solids (or at least mushies) this will probably keep up (I know I've had liquids in , liquids out since surgery. Just be glad that you're not an RNY patient...they have to tolerate this forever. There's whole message boards for them on other sites trying not to smell like an outhouse and sharing products they use.
