The burping i was told is normal. I had the same thing...it will go away! Mine seem to be less and less everyday. I was banded 3/23. i still get a little pain in my port, i too have a two year old and it seem when i do to much it hurts more. Good luck to you!

Hi i am 8 days post op i have the same thing.. i asked my doctor at my appointment and was told it normal. Your body just has to get use to the band. i have noticed that everyday it gets a little better. Good Luck to you!

I cannot believe i have lost 13 lbs already! I guess not eating can do that for you! 1 week down and i am ready for mushies. I have 1 week left of liquids:mad2:. I have become a big fan of egg drop soup and cream of wheat. I cannot wait to go to the gym. Doc said not for another 3 weeks. till they walking and household chores will have to do!

i had surgery 3/23/10 i feel the same way. Hoping it gets better soon!

I had to be at the hospital at 6:30am.I waited and waited till around 11:30 before they were finally ready for me. (i almost walk out at leat 5 times) finally they got me all ready with nice tight socks an iv and a really cool gown that kept me warm and i was off to wait some more. they had me in the pre surgical waiting room for like another hour and a half. I must have cried the hold time i was there. Then finally my doctor came in to see me. He calmed me down a bit then off i went. The helped me to change beds in the or the all of a sudden i hear some one say goodnight and i was out! I remember waking up in a crazy amount of pain. They had to change my iv and couldnt get in it in fast enough i had woke up with no paid meds. Finally they got it in and i had pain relief. I had to stay in the recovery room for hours because they didnt have any rooms upstairs. Finally at around 6pm i got a room. I Did fine. No vomiting...ect.did my walking ect. I felt really good the next morning. walked again. Had a upper GI then i was released to go home. Now this is where i have run into some trouble. I feel like i have to burp really bad and cant. almost like indigestion. I have only had liquids. I am taking gas x but nothing. Is this normal? HELP!!!!!!!:blushing:

i am two days post op and i am having the same issue. I keep taking the gas x strips its it not working. I have only had clear liquids but i feel like i have a lump in my throat and i feel like i need to burp but cant.

so I came from the hospital to find out both my kids have the stomach flu. both are vomiting and have diareah. I don't know if its something I need to call and tell my doctor.

My little one just threw up all over me and has a fever.... is that a sign?

Tomorrow is my surgery day! I am ready to just say lets forget the hole thing. I am so scared! I am mostly scared for my family. I laid in my bed with my oldest son last night and just looked and him and started balling! I want to watch him grow up.Then i think there is a better chance that i wont if i don't have surgery. Yesterday my om told me, " you know you still back out". Kinda made things worse. I want to hear "your going to fine". Encouraging words. Why is that so hard. My husband told me a few days ago that he was proud of me! I was happy to know that he being supportive. I know he is just as scared as i am. I think he knew how i was feeling last night and he just kinda stood away from me. How do i not think about this all day. I have so much to day today!:mad:

So to day i started my Clear liquid diet. Its only 11 and i cheated already! I ate some of my 2 year old sons breakfast left overs. I did so well on my pre op shake diet. I lost 8 lbs.
