  1. The only thing I had to redo was my labs and EKG. However my EKG was abnormal so they did a echo and treadmill. Then they found a spot on my breast and I had to do a mammogram. But all came out fine. So I had surg. May 20th 2011, they removed my band and did bypass at the same time. I was 235 now as of this morning I am 145. And in a size nine. My sixteen year olds size! The only exercise i have done has been walking and it is not like power works or anything and i will say I am very bad at taking my vitiuimins. But my labs are great my pulse rate stay in the low 60 upper 50's my bp is great. I can eat anything! I have had a bit of a Reese and it cause my pulse to go up to about 83 and my tummy hurt for about thirty mins. But then I have had a few m and m and be fine and sweat tea I still drink that along with my Water and have not had dumping. It's just Reese. I don't eat alot of anything and red meat grosses me out but I a a very picky eater anyways. But I love I did this and wish I would have had this surg in the beginning. Oh and I had surg went home the next day and only took my pain the night I got home. Oh I have had dizziness after getting up and forgetting to eat. But the night before we had a real early dinner and that was a long time to go with out food. I drank so tea felt find after. My dr said it could have been my sugar drop to low and just to make sure I don't go more than is to eight waking hour without food. Wishing everyone the best!

  2. I have been there. I was to tight for the last six months and have only lost a couple of pounds down then up again. I keep going in thinking I needed more of a fill. Finally after not holding anything down and it ruining my vacation. I went back and they took out some of the fill. I no longer hurt or get stuck and can eat anything. I have hit that perfect spot and I am finally losing the weight. I am finally loving my band.

  3. thanks everyone. today i was able to eat about 1/2 a cup tonight at dinner. i had a protien smoothie at about one. my i dont get up till around 11 am so that my breakfast/lunch. my sch. is gonna change in a few month and i will be getting up alot earlier. anyways i think its getting better and i am gonna wait till monday and if i can keep eating like today then i will take it that i'vw hit that sweat spot. thanks agian

  4. hey everyone. i need a little advice, i had a fill last monday i went from 6.5 to 7 cc in my 10 cc lapband ap. I have this tight feeling in my chest area, and can not eat till around 6 or 7 at night. when i eat i can eat about five small bites and then i feel like its if i eat anymore its gonna come back up, it feels like its just sitting at the bottom of my throat. during the day time i drink a protien smoothie (tcby with my own Protein add 36grams) but it takes me forever to drink it. i am not hungery at all and feel fine not weak or anything. i have dropped seven pounds in this week time frame. do you think i am to tight or is this the way it is suppose to feel? i dont want to get any taken out becuase after not losing for several months, i am finally moving agian. but with that said i dont want to hurt myself or the band. so what do you guys think?

  5. update so i still have not been able to see the Dr. they did not have any opening till feb 15th and everytime I call they say he will get back with me but he never does. I am not sure if I want to keep this appt if since I am changing Dr. My new Dr Appt is march 3rdi think i am going to call her office and see if she can see me sooner. on the bright side I am keeping things down and have not had any pain. I still have not lost any more weight either....

  6. thanks everyone for ur replys... My dr was suppose to call today and has not called yet. i have been able to eat dinner with no pain today.. last night while taking a hot bath i had this presurre pain in my chest then it hurt really bad for a second and then it was gone no more pain since. i know this sound odd but i really dont know how to describe it. I am just glad the pain is gone. I am calling the Dr agian first thing monday morning i still want them to check it out to be safe. i really dont like my Dr. and have set a appt up with a different dr but she cant see me till march so i am stuck with Dr Woodman till then. Thanks agian everyone.

  7. ok so the past few days i have not been abe to keep anything but liquids down. i have not had a fill for about six weeks. the first bite of anything and the pain begins.. hurts like my chest is being cut with a knife, then it comes right back up. i call the dr he said to do liquids for the next couple of days and he will call tommorrow to check on me. just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem or may know what it could be. thanks

  8. i am six months out and have only lost thirty pounds. however i do have hypothyroidism too but i was just talking to my hubby last night about doing the low carb thing too. I also have PCOS and my gyn says i should be doing low carb. along with my endo dr. however when i talk to my band dr he tells me the other dr dont know anything and just count fat.. and nothing else. I really dont like my band dr for after care, he is a good surgoen but he sucks at the after care. I am looking into changing band dr anyway. but for know I am going to give the low carb thing a try.. but it will be a lean fat low carb diet. By the was I had serveral friends do the adkins diet and lost lots of weight and keep it off for over five years now. But i agree with the last post... that is a touchy subject on this forum..

  9. i tried on both shoes before going with the shape up. the easy tone has this ballish area on the bottom, that i could push in with my hand so i know my 212lbs would make it go in. I walked around the store and could not tell anything different from my normal shoe. So then I put on the shapeup u can tell u have these on. they make you walk the correct way. the first day i got them i keep them on all day and my feet hurt on the bottom top area. but when u watch the video it tells u this will happen. that was the only day my feet hurt after wearing them, guess i was not used to walking the right way. but yes i felt it in my calfs right away and now i am noticing it in the butt and back of the thigh. I where them daily. very comfortable. I have never paid that much for shoes but I donnot regret it.. love them. hope this helps

  10. I want to be in this too. I was/am in the christmas one but my thyroid levels have been off and the put me back on my thyroid meds. they siad it would take one to two month for the meds to start working agian, So anyway it sould be good for this challenge. I am at 212 and would love to lose twenty five pounds by v-day.. good luck to everyone...

  11. ok, i was just wondering if i had finally hit my sweet spot. so what i do is in the morning as always i cant eat. lunch time i can eat sometime a bit or two and dinner most days i can eat somethings like chicken breast salad green Beans. things like that. i can also eat dinner rolls. i dont eat Pasta, or regular sandwich bread. its funny one day its good then one day like yesturday i could not eat anything till around ten pm.

  12. Ok i purchased the bodybugg yesturday and sign a contract with the gym. they have trainers on staff to help u included in the mempbership. so I am on my way to hiting this x-mas goal. my sister-in-law just had her surg tuesday and was back working at her salon on friday. So as soon a the Dr ok her to work out she is gonna be right there with me. it so much easy getting motived with others right beside u.

  13. i am from memphis.. but i was banded by dr woodman. great surg. bad bed side manners. i hear that dt weaver is a excellent doctor all together. if my ins would have excepted her i problemly would have look more into her. my hubby and bf worked with dr woodman at methodist germantown so thats why i choose him first.

  14. i was actually lecture about this last week when i went in for my fill. they actually wanted to know why i did not call and get a appt for my fill early since i was not fellin any restriction. they set my appt four to six weeks apart but they told me if i dont feel the restriction to call in and tell them even if its only been a week. thats what they are there for the goal is the prefect restriction in the green each visit. i have had five fills since 8/13 till now

  15. OK first let me start with saying I had a fill yesterday. and no i dont have any special diet after a fill. I have not had restrictions. before this fill except in the morning time. So its been along week with working interviews, packing, and moving. So I got my kids donuts for a quick Breakfast from the local donut shop. well temptation got the best of me and I ate one later on in the afternoon. OMG how it hurt. I had never had anything come back up or been in this pain before... It felt like i swallowed a watermelon in the middle of my chest and then it came up. It was very quick but I dont every want to do that again.. I am gonna take it this fill must have did the trick.

Also I did not see my DR but the nurse pract.. instead and so I asked her why my Dr does not tell me how much of a fill I got and she started to tell me it did not matter and I stopped her and told her before she could finish and told her "ITs my right to know and this is my body and I want to know everything that goes on or in it." So she told me my 10 cc band was half full. I am good with that. but I really think the only reason she finally told me was because when she walked in I had scrubs on and she asked what I did. Anyways hopefully we will be finished moving this weekend and I can get thing back on track. when I told her i had not exercised this week she acted as if i had not exercised the whole time. It didnt help that I did not lose anything these last three weeks either.
