Anyone know of a fill doc in Washington DC metro area? The docs around here tend to have an attitude 'my way or the highway'. The docs in south & west are more accomodating... probably because they have Mexico competition. Thanks for any comments. Amy

Can you- anyone please answer? ... or tell me where I can find the answer? I've searched & looked & SEARCHED. I get different answers. 1) What causes band erosion? Does anyone really know? Is it related to immune tolerance? 2) Why is there a contraindication for : You or someone in your family has an autoimmune connective tissue disease.... The same is true if you have symptoms of one of these diseases. (this taken from the inamed site: http://www.allerganandinamed.com/products/obesity/us/patient/lapband/risk.html Thank you to anyone who replies. Feel free to PM or email at evanesce@rcn.com Amy

I'm not sure if this is the right group for this question. Has anyone had an adjustable band added after a prior gastric bypass? I know this is done (The famous Obesity Lawyer Walter Lindstrom has both procedures). Thanks. Amy

Mayflower, what meds or treatment do you take for your auto immune disease? Do you have other symptoms? Do you think that your immune system is reacting to the foreign band? Is there a theory about why the immune system is acting up? Thanks! Amy -

Thanks LapBandit! I will look them up & call tomorrow! Would you happen to know if this center does fills for people who were banded in Mexico? Also, do they use the floro to do the fills? Thanks, again! Amy
