  1. I'm excited for you and really glad to have you back on the site... hope you'll have time for some blogging! I have definitely lost weight slower than a lot of people but I know I have really changed my ways and that I learn something or relearn it every day...best decision ever!

    Biggest Loser Fall 09

Diva, I agree with Everything you said. But I'm still thinking about Danny's home weight loss...yes, I see how the numbers for calorie burning make sense but I still find it kind of unreal I (like most of us) have been on MANY diets and I never lost weight by the math! Still how much more can you really lose by dehydrating yourself?? Or what other things could he do to make such a big number besides cut off a leg!?!
  3. You look so beautiful! I always love to see your pictures to really keep me motivated. You really look like one of those lucky girls who has always been skinny!!!

    Thanksgiving did me in...

Let yourself off the hook! Think of what you would say to a friend who gained three pounds! A year from now none of this will matter...plus you got a fill so its a whole new world now for you!

    Confused and Feeling Defeated.

You'll be laughing about this in a year...really! It sucks right now but how fast or slow you lose weight and even the times you make mistakes will seem trivial when your weight is where you want it and your thoughts are on something more important that all the details of your intake! Good luck!

    Twinkle Twinkle

Glad to hear all your thoughts...I also agree that for me theres more room in my head without so much thoughts of food and subsequent guilt. I'm still crazy, and some of it is food issues but now I think Im getting to be a more normal degree of crazy!

Its the beginning of a great adventure. We are all here for you.Its the best thing I have ever done. Good luck!

    I am so fucking... Frustrated!!

I feel really bad for you. That really just sucks and it it sooo disappointing. BUT...the revision will be a pretty easy procedure because there is no intrusion into your abdomen. It all takes place just in the superficial layers. Good luck..tell them to give you a fill while youre under anesthesia!! Let us know how it goes.
  9. That message from pdmarkle really says it all! I really think that blog is going to be publishable!

    12/1/09 Head Over Heels

Fantastic!!! Wow I am soooo happy for you. I liked how you went through the changes in how you have lost the weight through the months of having the band. But,...think of how different it all is from a year or even many years ago!!! You are really living the band!! PS LOVE the new and improved ticker! D

    100

I think the 100 is worth celebrating! I dont know where you started out but it sounds like a good number! I used to starve and not drink when I went in but my doc is 4 hours away and I finally realized that was stupid...I think I still hold my breath on the scale though!! Anyway have a celebratory drink and toast to your self!!

    Hhhheeeeyyyyy!

Congrats!!!! Dont make us beg for the pix....but we will!
  13. We are similar in terms of the stats..I was banded 6 months a go and have lost (ONLY???) 30 pounds. I think thats ok and Ill keep losing till I'm in the right place for me. My formerly skinny days when I was 22 are not coming back and thats ok!!!I really am just going to try to maintain my sweet spot interms of restriction (I am there now) and just let the chips (the scale) fall where they may!!

    11/23/09 Let The Festivities Begin!

Use the glue gun NOT the royal icing to hold it together...otherwise your kids will learn some new cuss words...oh wait that was me!!!

One Year Out -- Now What?

Keep doing what you're doing. I firmly believe that if we do what we should, the best we can, our weight will level off where it should...I am counting on it!!! Does anyone else agree or disagree? I think these specific nuber goals may be counterproductive...

    post surgery

I hope you have that abdominal binder..it will get you comfortable especially on your side, much faster. You can get one at a drugstore. It keeps your belly tucked in so it doesnt schlump over and pull! I had amazing restriction and no appetite for probably a month after surgery..enjoy it...good luck!!

    Biggest Loser Fall 09

I was sorry for the guy who gained it back too but I was happily surprised to see so many that have kept it off and really made a new life/lifestyle for themselves and their loved ones! I'm usually cynical but I thought this was very inspiring and I think the show is helping a lot of the viewers get motivated too!
  19. We all have that in us for sure. My one friend describes it as a mean inner voice and she calls him Stan! Hes mean to her and that brings out the meaness in her! Sometimes we both say "Shut up, Stan!"

    Gggrrrr

I like you even more when you're crabby!!!
  21. Tupelo, Yes we do. My doc gave me the pix of the band in place...it looked huge like a billboard that said ALLERGAN in big letters! Anyway there were globs of fat all over my stomach and thats the worse kind of fat (visceral)compared to the stuff you can pinch on your waist or hips (subcutaneous) ! So that stuff is decreasing all over the body and the band loosens up.

    11/19/09 Giggles and Jiggles

I remember when I got my first wetsuit it was very tight everywhere and I really looked like a fat seal (it was black, but NOT slimming!!)....I think that would hold everything in really well but you would be sweating like a hog and then it would be hard to get off!!! Anyway, congrats...to jiggle is to succeed in this game!

  25. Hey I forgot to tell you that my Wii still hates Mii!!! I got on the other day after a long absence and she told me I had lost ONLY 7 pounds and maybe I should lower my expectations! It told my sister she was overweight and she about peed herself laughing when her Mii puffed up!
