  1. I bet you still look and feel great! As tall as you are, I bet thirty pounds isnt too bad...and of course well worth it in exchange for a child. Do you feel confident in the band and in yourself that you know you'll never be that girl at the lake (before photo) again? Thanks for the info!

    Chicken Pizza..Yummy!!!

It looks delicious but when you are at your sweet spot you probably cant even eat a half of that...a good thing considering the fat grams are pretty high...good protein though!

    Beans & salad

I really just put them in at around 300 degrees and then just stir them around a few times until they seem dry. I am not a good cook so I guess I havent paid attention to the time! I bought an edamame dip the other day that I really liked and will prob try making myself (beans in the food processor and some greek yogurt and spices?)I really dont use mayo anymore and I have never liked the reduced fat or cal versions of mayo so I just use the yog! I bet you could bake the edamame beans the same way...hmmmm Oh I also use hummus to mix into canned tuna instead of mayo...I really like the red pepper flavor!

    Beans & salad

I also really like the Sabra hummus. I eat it with raw vegetables mostly.I also buy the canned garbanzo beans, drain them really well, season them with spices and put them on a baking tray and bake them to a delicious dry snack.

  12. Hey good luck with your replacement. I hope that all goes or went well for you. You have done well and KNOW the power of the band because you saw what happened when it leaked! I am wondering if insurance covers you if you have to have it replaced? Thanks!

    Why You Shouldn't Eat Salad

Sorry Doc, you're dead wrong...your statement shout be "Why you shouldn't eat iceberg lettuce" If its dark green its a must, a protein can be in the salad in beans, cheese, and other non meat options...

    Beans & salad

Also a veg, so I eat a lot of beans. I love the refrieds made with black beans and a garnish of hot sauce and greek yogurt for the sour cream. No problem with beans or salad...

    Comments!!!

That story is an NSV (non scale victory) if ever there was!!! Thanks for sharing it!
  20. Oh, I forgot to answer about the calories...I run right around 1000 to 1200 when I am doing it right. I mean eating only when hungry, stop when not hungry (not in pain or even full!) and NO liquids around eating time!I probably eat 5 or 6 small (less than 1 cup) meals a day. I have been doing good for almost three weeks..LOL!

  21. I started at 215 and I am 5"4". I was higher than that bfore getting banded which was May of 09. I had my surgery 5 hours from home so I had a hard time getting down there (LA) for fills. That, and the slackfulness of the last three months really slowed things down.I am not mad at myself now because I am back on track.I got to perfect restriction with my second fill in October and then the slacking began I guess.I am at 181 today and at 180 I will be halfway to goal...at 175 I will no longer be obese...yay!!Still lazy on the exercise though!

  22. Yeah, I thought well I guess this is where I am going to be (185) unless I exercise. But when I started writing down my food and realizing that I was ALWAYS eating until it was painful...and throwing up too much...anyway I think Im back on track!

  23. You look great in your before/after pix...BIG difference in the face!!I hit a plateau also but when I started writing down everything I was eating I saw it wasnt a plateau, it was me totally overeating! Good luck, I thin you are really looking younger!!!

  24. Thanks for putting up more pix...You are an inspiration to many!!!

Post op Lap Band to Post Op Tummy Tuck

Are you sure about insurance covering 2/3 of the TT? Because if you paid 7 thousand the total would be 21 thousand...for a tummy tuck! That scares me because I didnt think they were so expensive!!PS You look great...thanks for showing us the pix!
