Stool softener helps too. Everyone I know that has the band has the same thing going on (in this case not going)too. -
I got to feeling this way too. In fact struggled with it for about a year. Except I got a fill that was to tight and I didn't go back. I kept getting sick and I felt like you, tired of it. So I ended up just eating whatever I wanted to and I gained 30lbs. I don't recommend that at all. I am just now, this week in fact getting back into it. So while I don't know the "fix" I have shared your feelings and at least you know you're not alone. Getting back to this site helped encourage me. I I I I

Keep up the great work!!! You look great!

This isn't a question but just something helpful. Eat with a baby spoon, might sound silly but that is the right amount to put in your mouth to chew chew chew. Good Luck! The band is a great tool!

:rolleyes:Don't feel guilty about not telling some people, it's ok. It's your band, it's your time. The hubby knows and that's the main thing. Good luck with the surgery tomorrow!

How did you get beyond a plateau?
cdinky replied to dolphintattoo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hang in there!! The exercise is all good but I think like catfish, sounds like band adjustment is in need. My 40 came off fast too, the next 30 not so much. -
If I aim for and "accidentally"run someone over is it murder?

Yes!! You are awesome!!! -
You will notice a difference but like Missy said, if you get the lift then get the porn look.

I haven't been on here since before I had surgery and I'm so thankful I remembered this site! I too am in serious need of a "start over" and I am hoping I haven't waited to late. A year ago last Jan. I got a fill and should have went back and got some taken back out cause I had reflux that very night. Going back was another $200 and I just couldn't justify or really afford to go. Things haven't been right since then, I eat a lot of really bad stuff like ice cream cause it slides down and stays down (unless I eat to fast). This has continued on and I have avoided the scale, well needless to say I have gained back 30lbs since then. I had lost 70lbs and then I gained again. My reflux is better most days, my band is still tight but I don't use the very tool I fought so hard to get. Banded 4 yrs ago and I am ashamed that I've let myself slip back to this, when I got banded I swore I'd never do the very thing I did. Today is a new day. Yesterday I stayed on liquid and will today too. Thank you all for posting because it has renewed me.

My surgery is set for July 23rd, just a few more days. Dr. Dan Cardwell is doing mine at Cox Hospital. Insurance is First Choice and uses Cox Hospital, from the time I went to the first meeting, all the paperwork-its been 8 months. I'm so excited for this day. The support groups are wonderful, and have taught me a lot of things to expect. I hope this tread grows and we hear from more people from this area that have went through Cox. Not that I don't enjoy reading everything from St John's-I do- I went there first but my insurance did not approve there. Everyone's experience is valuable, and helps us before people learn for things to watch for, and when I got back to page 1 and start there you all have lost so much, and it gives me such hope for myself.

I'm from MO and getting the Realize band also on July 23rd, done by Dr. Dan Cardwell. He and his staff are so nice and the support groups in Springfield have been wonderful. -
