  2. The reason I ask this is because after I eat(dinner)I can look down at my belly and see my stomach protruding a little bit right where my port is. Does anyone else see this? I have pretty good restriction right now but am a little worried. I might go to the doc and ask but I would like to know if this has happened to ayone else.....

  4. First one: After you reach your sweet spot are you physically unable to eat more than 1 or so cups of food? I ask this because I don't not feel like I have much restriction. This brings on my second question.. Is it normal to get a fill every 2 weeks. I had surgery July 28th and had to wait 6 weeks for my first fill. First fill was Sept. 9th and my second one was Sept 23rd. My third fill is scheduled for Oct. 7th. I have 5 cc's in a 10 cc band. My doc said "most" of his patients have to have 4-7 cc's to reach their sweet spot. Any help with these would be greatly appreciated..... Jennifer
  5. This is exactually my situation. I am 5 cc's in a 10 cc band. My doc said "most" people only have to have 4-7 cc's to reach their sweet spot. Well I am having my third fill next wednesday and am hoping that will do the trick. I wanted to know how people knew they were at their sweet spot. I mean are you physically UNABLE to eat more than a cup or so? Right now I am eating about 2 cups if not more of food and want to feel some sort of restriction NOW... LOL

    Now when you have proper restriction are you physically unable to eat more or do you just stop yourself? I have 5 cc's in a 10 cc band. I have some restriction but I am eat more than a cup of food. I don't drink with meals but I don't measure it either. I am just wondering....
  7. I am sorry to say this and it might offend some people but if you have the band and have only lost 10-30 lbs in 1-2 years then it is your fault not the band. If you are eating right and exercising like you say then the weight should be coming off even with out the band. Of course I am not a band expert but some people assume that if you don't lose with the band it is automatically the bands fault. If you keep up on your fills, eat healthy, and get in moderate exercise then the weight should be coming off. If not, then it is your fault and not the band....
  8. Thanks for the comment about my picture. I was not self pay. My insurance paid, so obviously I was 100 lbs over weight. I tried the sit ups, they didn't work.... LOL

    This is 3 days after surgery!!!

    My incisions didn't bleed at all. I woke up with them just glued. No bandages.... LOL

    OK so my elliptical wasn't broke. The belt just slipped. My husband fixed it. My scale is still broke but maybe it is for the best cause I weight myself everyday. I had my second fill yesterday so I am on mushies right now. I have 5 cc's in a 10 cc band so lets hope this one has done the trick..... B 5 oz strawberry Protein shake L 1/3 cup of cottage cheese and 1/2 of a carbmaster yogart(yep, I have fred meyers here so I found them... LOL) D 3/4 cup of potato Soup 30 min on elliptical and 15 min of weight lifting

    I know how you feel. I actually had my 2nd fill yesterday and am on mushies till Friday. I have 5 cc's in a 10 cc band. He said he has never had to fill anyone all 10 cc's before. But I am worried that might be me. He said his patients usually have between 4-7 cc's and that their sweet spot. I had 4 cc's in and yesterday he gave me 1. I hope this is the right place for me but probably not...

    Tomorrow I get my second fill so for the next 3 days just mushies for me... LOL B egg white omelet w/ 1 slice of ham 2 tbs of cheddar cheese with 2 tbs of salsa 2 cups of coffee L chicken salad w. 10 wheat thins D small slice of meat loaf with mashed potatos and corn S string cheese not enough Water 1 hour power walk/jog I have to becareful of the walks out side because of the bears LOL The bad thing is last night I was weighing myself and I broke my scale... LOL again the story of my life....
  13. I know how you feel. I had my surgery July 28th and have only lost 23lbs so far. I get my 2nd fill the 23rd so hopefully the weight will start to melt off. I am exercising most days and am trying to watch what I eat. It is a little harder than what I thought but I will not give up. As long as I get regular fills(as needed), watch what I eat and be more physicaly motivated then I can not fail and I am happy with that....

  15. I was banded July 28th. I had my first fill Sept. 9th and am getting another one on the 23rd. Bring on the restriction... Please. I know it is seeming to go a little slow for me too but I have picked up on the exercise and am measuring my food so hopefully after this next fill the poundage will fall right off... LOL

    Hello Marge.. My husband is in the Army. He is not deployed right now and doesn't plan to till late 2011(Thank God) But he was deployed in 2006/2007. We are stationed in Alaska right now. And you are more than welcome to post here. It is just healthy me and I that post... lol B Special K breakfast bar and 2 cups of coffee L Turkey and cheddar lunchable yogart w/ 1/4 cup of granola S 6 wheat thins string cheese D 4 oz shake and bake pork loin, green Beans, baked potato I did eat a FruitaBu after dinner Last night I was working out on my elliptical and I guess I might have broke something on it. LOL The story of my life. The fat girl that brakes the exercise equiptment... LOL So tonight it didn't rain so I got to power walk/jog for an hour outside Water not enough
  18. ok So I started using the daily plate through Livestrong.. Well it told me in order to lose 2 lbs a week I needed to eat 2130 cal a day. I added what I had eaten today and it was only 1200. So what do I do? I am confused....

    Oh to be a "normal" shape!

    Well I guess I am an hourglass shape or maybe a pear or an apple, not sure which I am.. LOL I have a large butt and thighs and barely a belly(except for the excess skin from 2 kids) I don't have huge shoulders but am a 38 C. I have never had huge rolls or a prego looking belly. I am a 16/18 jeans and could probably wear a 12/14 if my hips and butt fit my waist. I will always have a big butt and will have the gap between the back of my pants and the top of my butt. LOL I have never really been skinny and has always had a big butt, but hopefully when I lose more weight it will be a little better... LOL But the one thing I am deathly affraid of is the excess skin on my inner thighs and I heard that ps is the hardest....

I think!!! lol B Special K Breakfast bar and 2 cups of coffee L ham and cheddar lunchable 8 sliced each yogart w/ granola S string cheese 5 mini rice cakes D 2 small sliced of turkey, 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, 1/3 cup of cream corn Water def didn't drink enough exercise 1 hr power walk/run i feel great!!!!

    No restriction and a little bummed!!!

    I am in the same boat... I had my first fill Sept 9th and I can tell I need another fill NOW!!! lol My doc said I can have one every 2 weeks. So tomorrow I am calling to schedule my next one. Actually just 3 days after my fill I could tell I had no restriction.(after I went back to solid foods) I am glad I am down 22 lbs but most of it was right after surgery. I only lost 5 lbs before. Right after surgery I was losing like a lb a day. It was great but now the scale isn't moving. I forgot to ask how many cc's my doc filled me with and will def ask next time. I am just ready for restriction!!!!
