VaDarlene, You should be doing pretty well now after your surgery. Since I have had fills, my weight loss is greater. So far 34 lbs. Slow but sure. Good luck.

I get told that, too, by my nephews. They thought it was a compliment. I didn't.

I wondered if anyone posts on this site. Why did you go to Tijuana to have surgery? Do you get fills locally? Also, how much can you eat? I've had one fill and can still eat quite a bit. I'm also puzzled about postings that say to "eat Protein first." Can you tell me why? I'm just filled with lots of questions. Jackie

Is this site still active? I live in Davenport IA and work in Rock Island, IL. I was banded Jan 14, 2009 by Dr Schrier in Moline. I'm still adjusting, but would love to be part of this group if it's still active. J Marie (also Jackie)

I'm a new member and am happy to have found this site. I was banded Jan 14 and had my first fill March 6. I actually gained 1.5 lbs from my first post op visit till the time of my first fill. I'm afraid that I will never lose weight. I follow the diet provided, although this is the first time I've heard anything about eating proteins first. I also skimmed through the forum and saw that some people were pbing after a fill. What is pb?
