HA! I was just diagnosed last week with gallstones after an abdominal ultrasound! I had elevated liver enzymes on my last checkup so my PCP sent me to the gastroenterologist who said it might be fatty liver. My liver is ok but I have gallstones. Go figure! I have NO symptoms! Guess I will have to look forward to the surgery! Calanne:thumbdown:

Hey Pam! Calanne here. I think that brain hunger goes away after a while. I do know what you are saying. I recently had a band adjustment and I am pretty tight right now. My brain seems to FINALLY get the message that "WE" are not really hungry. When we do eat, we can't eat very much and brain is starting to realize what is going on!! Pam: call me. Hi All! I was banded by Dr. Spiegel 19 months ago and I LOVE my band! I have lost 62 pounds as of yesterday. I am not the most active person in the world, but I did go to the YMCA last summer and start water aerobics. It was great. Then I had to stop so I could help my pregnant DIL with my little 13 mo. old grandson. I have lost steadily since I started running after him! What a way to lose! Yes, we older bandsters lose more slowly, but my skin looks great. I just had an adjustment to my band after several months and the Nurse Practitioner told me that my band was really loose because I had lost so much weight!!!!!Now I have good restriction again. It is like I was first banded. I have been looking for great banded recipes on this website. I had kind of let things go before, but now I am back on the horse!!! My surgery was only 30 minutes. Dr. Spiegel did not use a catheter on me, thank goodness! I walked to the bathroom after my surgery. Calanne

My name is Calanne. I live in Pearland, Texas. I was banded on May 11, 2006 by Dr. Spiegel in Houston. To date I have lost only 26 pounds, but the inches have really fallen off! I am 61 and a retired teacher. Soon to be a first-time Grandma! I went to the Texas A&M/Missouri football game over the weekend and I WALKED all over the place. That is a moral victory for ma as I have serious arthritis and use a cane regularly. I am so proud of myself because in July, just post-op I went to Mary Kay Seminar in Dallas and could not for the life of me walk more than 5 yards without stopping! What a difference. Hi All! I have been reading the messages here for several months, but never posted. I need to lose more weight and I see that you all really help each other. My name is Calanne Choate from Houston, Texas. I was banded by Dr. Spiegel on May 11, 2006. I have only lost 26 pounds, but I now finally have restriction in my 10cc band! I weighed 281 at surgery and 256 now. I have gained and lost the same 5 pounds for the last month. This morning I made up my mind to get going again! I am so happy to be here with you! I am a retired teacher looking forward to being a first time grandma in November. My main problem is that I have really bad knees and have a hard time walking and exercising.I will check in here daily from now on. I look forward to your wonderful comments and attitudes!
