I too had surgery on april, 8th, and I too have not lost any wt. I havent gained..which is good...but havent lost. I have had many fills, (my last one a month ago) and am currently at 7cc. i started out at 207 and am at 200 now, however, the fiirst 7 lbs came off the first week after surgery on that liquid diet. I do have some restrictions, but unfortunately it doesnt prevent me from eating the junk i used to..i can still eat as many Cookies as before.however, not as much 'real food'. and yes, i havent been eating as well as i should, thinking the surgery was the solution.....(not saying this is your case, but it's definitely mine) the last time i got filled, my Dr said not to come back for another fill...and that i should watch what i eat and exercise.....duh, if i could have done that, i wouldnt have needed the surgery... but i did join weightwatchers this week, just for some accountability in what im eating... i think that the fact that i'm 200 (and you are not much more) might be the reason we arent seeing the 20 lbs wt loss in 2 months.... like others..... I get frustrated, but its hard to blame the surgery when i KNOW i shouldnt be eating junk..... it's been a while since ive checked the forums, and glad to find that i am not the only one not losing wt. I will be contemplating about going in for another fill next month if i still dont lose.... other than my experience, i dont have any advice, just to tell you that you are not alone....

1. WEIGHT- havent lost in a month. feel like i am more maintaining. lost most of my 7 lb loss immediately post-op. starting wt 205. wt now 198 and holding 2. FILLS- 10cc band. i have had several fills. 2cc,4cc,6cc and yesterday added 1cc for a total of 7cc. 3. RESTRICTION- pretty much had NO restriction as of yesterday. am hoping yesterdays fill will do the trick. definitely eating less, however, not enough to lose, just normal 'maintaining' portions. i could pretty much eat anything, breads, etc no sense of regurgitation what-so-ever. 4. RULES- other than not drinking during/after meals, which i notice it doesnt work, no rules really apply..i dont have to chew really good, or take small bites or anything WHICH I WAS HOPING FOR!! 5. ANYTHING ELSE: Getting disappointed. wasnt expecting a miracle, however, was hoping for more restriction forcing me to eat smaller 'wt loss' portions. Im already at 7cc, dr told me that 6cc was the 'green zone' and anything over was the 'red zone' and i shouldnt be in it, (this was at my 6cc fill) even after I told him i could eat a whole plate of food (and then some!) i then told him that i thought everybody was different and that i didnt think i had enough restriction. and he said i should just 'make this work' with more diet and exercise duh, if i could do that, i wouldnt need the surgery!!!! he's not my dr, but the one who does all the 'fills' in the office. I dread going there because he makes me feel like im doing something wrong!!! plus im worried, if im already at 7cc, is there any hope for me?!?! im hoping after yesterdays fill, i will feel restriction from now on. thanks for letting me vent! -
Going for my 3rd fill this thursday. had my 2nd fill of 2cc last tuesday. and had my first fill 2 weeks before that. so i have a total of 4cc at this point. Im not losing weight. and there is no restriction, or feeling full. i can still eat 2 plates of food. i dont have to chew very well or take small bites... I am hoping this next fill will do the trick.

Not feeling a whole lot different after my first fill on the 29th. I can still eat a Lean Cuisine meal (lunch at work) and eating normal portions (although trying to limit my intake to 1/2 cup) but everything goes down just fine, unfortunately. However, that said, I have lost a half a pound each day since being filled. so i must be eating less than before. But not feeling much restriction, which i was hoping for because im not that self disciplined to eat healthy ALL the time. My Dr said if im not losing weight to make an appt for another fill in 2 weeks. I think i will make that appt, just to get more restriction, because I feel i can still eat everything in sight, and its just a matter of time, lol but did a happy dance on the scale this morning, because, i set myself up to see a gain everytime i get on the scale, so im not disappointed if i dont lose. but was down another half pound.... yippee

Hey BG, glad to hear everything is OK, welcome home and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! hopefully everything is smooth sailing from here on out. I felt completely normal at 2 weeks. and all my (3) small scars are barely noticeable except for the larger port one, it looked like a pizza cutter was used!! lol it is looking better, but not like the others... glad they didnt find anything too serious!!

I was Banded 4/9 first week of liquid 2nd week mushies 3rd week (last 7 days) solid food (no restrictions whatsoever!) First fill today going into my 4th week, i have the 'standard' band (10cc he told me) and while i was sitting up and taking sips of water, he filled me with 2cc. he kept asking me if the water was going down fine, and actually, it went down fine but just felt a little 'pressure' afterwards, and that's when he decided on the 2cc. i was worried that it isnt enough, but looking at these forums, it seems to be an average first fill. I will find out how restricted i really am tomorrow when i try to eat solids...(liquids only for today) didnt hurt just pinched like when you get labwork or something....

Hi all, was banded last week and I have to say that 3-4 days post-op I sent my best friend a text that said " OMG, WHAT DID I DO? I GAVE UP MY FAVORITE ACTIVITY.....EATING!! WHAT WAS I THINKING?!" she promptly sent me one back saying, "what are you bored? or crazy?? I'm gonna save your text and in a few months when you are prancing around in your bathing suit without a cover up, im gonna show it to you" lol, i had to laugh, because it's true...... I have to remember food WAS NEVER MY FRIEND!!!!

"It doesn't take a lot of strength to hang on. It takes a lot of strength to let go" unknown Think this can apply to my 'old' eating habits and routine. have to let go, and give it up to the band from now on -
Those that have had surgery this week

3rd day post op and feeling more 'normal' and less 'surgical' Outpatient procedure on the 9th, slept all the way home. felt good enough to watch TV with family that night, however, nothing funny because it hurt to laugh... No major pain, just physical discomfort from the bloating from surgery and radiating shoulder pain and would sometimes get short sharp pains on my right side. kinda like when you would run and get a side cramp (not that I ever ran a lot no nausea or vomiting at all. (or regurgitating) no appetite until today. in fact, i tried sugar-free Jello and Protein Water day after surg....couldnt do it, tasted too sweet. just stuck with broth and tea....although jello is going down fine today I am suprised though, they gave me antibiotics which is fine, but they are huge capsules which i have to take 4 times a day?!?! i am going to call and see if there are any liquid ones they can switch me out with. overall i am EXCITED!!!! I cant believe that finally, my body will be controlling what i put in my mouth, instead of my head!!! -
I too am on the lower end of the scale (no pun intended ;-)It seems to me that the more weight you have to lose, the quicker it seems to come off (or perhaps, the results are more obvious) I've been worried that the weight will take longer to come off me knowing I have about 75 lbs to lose vs. 150. does anybody know if it takes longer for somebody with less to lose??

I think i just recall everybody in the workplace knowing because she had gone down to 'mexico' with the other girls who had it done, but just to be their support person.... then she started to lose weight...so i guess in THAT sense it was obvious.... but hadnt knowing that information....i prob would have thought she was doing really good on the latest diet.. i think i was trying to say that if people were talking about it, and some already had an idea, I prob wouldnt deny it.....although i probably could, and nobody would be the wiser.... and yes, i will be bagging up all my 'fat clothes' lol
