Hi eight months is still early in the game I didn't start losing any weight until I was four months in. Before that I was actually gaining. I now it is frustrating. I saw go to your Dr. be honest and tell him the complications your life style makes for you. Hopefully he will help you find ways of dealing with those, so you can be back on track. Good luck!!

Congrats, I hope all goes well. Are you still going to run in San Diego? Who was the PS I am in AZ to. Is the skin on your thighs flabby (that is my biggest problem) or has running helped?

Around the middle of the day I get really tired. I mean really tired. I don't take a multi vitamin do you think this could be the problem? Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks

Not normal!!, I had this problem where I could barely keep water down. Call your Dr. you may need a little unfill.

Go tell her that she should start smoking again because her new pass time of being a bitch is not very becoming. You are doing great. I didn't lose any weight until I had the band for four months.

Hi I am not sure about my cc's I lost count from having added then removed then added again. But my surgeon does pull some fluid out to make sure he is in the port and not scar tissue which he said can also feel like the port. Also it took me a good four months to get to a place where I was even losing weight. So be patient with yourself. Good Luck.

Hi Has anyone started to do any long distance running after being banded? I would like to do a half marathon but am not sure how I would get the proper nutrition and hydration. I am currently at my sweet spot but can not gulp down water the way I want to after running. Any suggestions? Thanks

I was at a party with a lot of girlfriends and we were talking about my surgery. One of my girlfriend saids I can tell you lost a lot of weight. But I have always thought you were pretty, I mean your face.

Hi My kiddies were five and three when I had my surgery. I told them that I was going to the Dr and he would be giving mommy something to help her be healthy. I told them I might be a little sore and really tired for a couple of days after. Once I came home I slept a lot and it didn't seem to phase the kids a all. Good luck and let me know how surgery went.

I am flying to Florida from Arizona on Saturday. I have read about of lot of people having problems flying and there band getting to tight. Is there anyone out there who has flown and not had any problems? Or you did something to make it easier? :confused:

Hi Shay Don't worry it is still early in the game. I didn't lose anything (in fact I gained) until about three to four months in and a lot of playing a round with restriction. I currently exercises and think it is always a good thing. But I have gone through stages where due to weight lifting I will lose inches but not actual pounds. Good luck and be patient.

I had something similar. I have an IUD and have not had a period in about three years once I was anded and started losing weight I started having my periods again. It was never that heavy but I would cramp real bad and become extremely bitchy. I haven't really looked into it so I don't have any advise but know that you are not alone. Let me know what your doctor says. Good luck.

Hi I live in AZ and I used true results. They have been great I love the surgeon and the staff. I have had a few issues with my port (no one's fault) and the office has been great the surgeon even came in on a day that he was not scheduled to be there to help with my issues. I was self pay so I am not sure how easy the insurance thing is. But I would definitely try them. There wed site is Phoenix, AZ Lap Band Surgery & Weight Loss Procedure Center | True Results. P.S. the surgery center had an awesome staff and I always get sick whenever I had surgery and the anesthesiologist they use was the only one who has ever kept me from getting sick. Good luck!!

Hi I think a lot of times people are scared on how it will effect them. The skinny one probably doesn't want the competition. And the overweight friend will now be the only overweight one in your group. I went through this with my friends and I am 32. We are all still friends and have worked through it. Just be honest with your feelings and remind yourself you are doing this for your quality of life. Good luck.

Does anyone know how much children's Advil to take. The only make the liquid in the children's form and I can't figure out how many ml's would equal one Advil. Thanks :sad:
