  1. Happy 42nd Birthday la38!

  2. Happy 41st Birthday la38!

  3. yes that makes sense........ does anyone know how many carbs, protein, fat, etc. to have max a day? so far today i am at 615 calories, 53 protein, 54 carbs, and 20g fat. maybe i'm eating too many carbs or something?
  4. Emma, thank you for replying...... i have increased my protein intake thinking that that was it, but that didn't work, so i guess i will try to increase my calories now.. i'm kinda shocked that i have not lost in a long time....... it embarrasses me when i see people that i know and they automatically assume that i'm going to be think all of the sudden and when they see me i don't look any different! i hate it! i try to explain that i did not have bypass and that this will take longer, but still it's embarrassing to me.........my fill is set for monday and i'm scared to have it done, to be quite honest..... i am able to eat anything without getting sick but i can only eat a small amout which i'm very happy about, but the downside is that basically the day i got off liquids i quit losing. I don't really want to have the fill, but i guess if i'm at a halt i need to do something different. i'm going to try to up my calories for the rest of the week and see what happens. thanks for the advice.
  5. i am in the same situation......... i am eating way less than a cup of day, walking a mile atleast 4 times a week, and i am 4 weeks post op. I lost 20 lbs. initially, but in the last 3 weeks, NOTHING. I am hardly eating at all and am not losing, i am getting frustrated! I could go have a fill, but i am eating less than a cup, so i am not sure if that's what i need. I don't know if my body is in shock or what's going on, but i am definately discouraged! do you think i need a fill or what?

    No weight loss third week

i am almost 4 weeks out from surgery.......... lost 8lbs before surgery, then 9 one week post op, but only 3 lbs in the last 3 WEEKS. so so slow.......i am consuming less than 900 calories a day and eating 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food....... i am down 20 lbs, but the last few weeks, i have only lost a lb a week....... that is pretty frustrating! i had completely stopped my protein drinks, bars, etc..... but as of yesterday started them again because i read somewhere that if you don't have high protein intake your weight loss will be slow.......... i'm trying that and will let you know if it helps!

    Banded on Friday the 13th

just a quick note, i am 2 weeks out and the shoulder pain has stopped! i thought it would never end, but it did stop so i am all better now! i hope yours stops also!
  8. hi all just wanted to say i am a full 2 weeks out as of today and the shoulder pain has STOPPED. i thought it would never go away after reading some people's posts, so it worried me, but mine stopped as of yesterday and i have had no pain since. i am THRILLED. I have no fill in my band and i am only able to eat 1/2 cup at most at a time. I am feeling very tired, but my hate for the band is getting better....... lol i have lost 17 lbs.
  9. where do you get the super whey shots? maybe i should increase my protein!
  10. if you get stuck do you feel it immediately after you eat? or can it be the next day? on saturday, i felt a squeezing in my chest like i couldn't breathe, i had only drank a protein shake that morning and had eaten nothing... could it have been from the night before?
  11. thanks for the encouragement, you guys have made me feel better. i think i'm going to try not walking on the treadmill and just walking outside for now. i am able to eat very little, maybe a 1/2 cup a few times a day but i am not consuming very much protein either. i can't tolerate another protein drink....... so i don't know why i feel so awful, but thank goodness as of today, my left shoulder pain has STOPPED yay! it was painful, but it's suddenly gone and i am so happy. i am on my mushy food stage, just trying to figure out what to eat is becoming a pain, but atleast i'm getting to eat now......... and.....has anyone been able to eat popcorn? i know that's random, but we go to the movies A LOT and i've been avoiding going for a month because i don't think i can sit through a movie and not have popcorn! lol

    Best foods to eat

dang aubrie, you sure know how to eat! i hadn't thought of any of those.... lol i have been eating an avocado a day smashed up with lime juice and salt. refried beans with cheese, and applesauce. that's about it........ all those avocado's may be why my weight loss has stopped! lol.....
  13. I was banded on the 11th, and also have NO ENERGY. If i do the dishes, or a simple task, i also am worn out afterwards. I initially lost 17 lbs. in 2 weeks, (the week before and the week after surgery), but in this last week, i have only lost 1 lb. so i am getting discouraged. i'm barely eating at all, and i think that may be why i'm so tired, but i'm afraid if i try to eat more, i will definately not lose weight. so i'm frustrated. i'm just really tired, and i have walked on the treadmill a couple of times, but it makes my stomach so sore, i think i'm going to stop for now.
  14. Count me in..... surgery date: 03-11-09 highest weight: 244 preop weight: 244 surgery weight: 236 current weight: 227 weight loss since surgery: 9 total weight loss: 17 my end goal is to be: 130-140 lbs.
  15. Dia, I also am almost 2 weeks out and am sick of the pain. My left shoulder pain is horrible, i can take being sore, but the constant shoulder pain is really wearing on me. the first 4 days the gas was HORRIBLE, and i have had the shoulder pain non stop since surgery. I am hoping it goes away, but from reading most of the threads, it doesn't seem like it's going to anytime soon. I'm not happy with the band as of yet also.
