    Happy early Banniversary!!!!!!!! Geez, look how far you have come in the last year...You go girl!!! You have alot to be proud of...You have come a long long way...I was hoping to say that I had all mine gone by the end of my banniversary in June but its just not looking too promising for me right now...This 60 lb hump bump has me stumped...Wish I had just a little bit of what you got going on for you girl!!!

    You mentioning keytones reminded me that I havent mentioned my sons appt on Tuesday with the nutritionist...The visit went well and she said that apparently we were doing everything right now since he was losing so much weight...12 lbs now since last month...Hes doing great...She has him on 30 carbs per meal and a snack or 2 during the day since he is working out...I did take advantage of the situation and asked her some things about my band and she did confirm something for me which another dr had said was a myth, there is such a thing as the dreaded "starvation mode" and you do have to make sure that you get in enough calories...The last dr I went to for my fill said that the less calories the better since your body wont have to work as hard to burn them off...So, she pretty much went against everything that he said...She also recommended some vitamins called "juice plus"...Its a bottle of a vegetable blend then a bottle of a fruit blend...I have to take 2 of the fruit ones in the morning and 2 of the veggie at night with 8 oz of water...Its suppose to equal out to 6-7 servings of fruits and veggies a day...So my sons godmother bought me a month supply to see how they work...They also have a website too...She also said that if i get them from the web site that they would be cheaper and she could send in a letter to them and my son would get a free year supply also if I signed up due to a study that they are donig...Just trying to keep everyone updated on what I found out

    Its official, I lost nothing for the entire month of February!!! The entire month was spent fighting the same couple of pounds and it appears that in the end I lost...But there is always next month...I just have to remember that last month was great for me with a 9 lb loss and it cant always be that way...I am working on it and plan to do alot better this month (I hope)

    I would like to say thank you to everyone for your encouraging words..I am sure that I am not the only one on here that has ever had this emotional problem along with the band and it feels wonderful to be able to talk to people that actually experience the same thing that I am going thru...I appriciate every single person on here and wish everyone the best of luck in this god forsaken journey!!! Today: 8 oz chocolate whey (breakfast) 3 egg rolls (lunch) top layer of an omlette from IHOP and 1 slice of wheat toast (dinner) 20 oz orange water 45 oz plain water 40 more oz of honey and lemon green tea 30 minute gazelle workout and about to step on it for another 30 minutes to work off some of my dinner so that I dont feel so bad about it!!

    This past month has been terrible for me...I just dont understand why I am not losing anything...I have been teetering and tottering on the same 2 lbs all month regardless of what I do...Some of the people at work just look at me like I must be doing something wrong and cheating and they look disappointed...Others say that they just dont understand why the weight is just not melting away due to how much I am able to eat...I have to say myself that I am not understanding whats going on with me right now, but its discouraging

    I have started my spring cleaning early this year...Today I stripped and mopped the kitchen floor, scrubbed the bathroom from top to bottom and went over every cabinet in the kitchen with a scrubber and a sponge...I just dont understand how everything gets so messy over winter time...Oh well, that part is done and shampooed the carpets last month so thats done too for now... 8 oz chocolate whey (breakfast) 8 oz chocolate whey (lunch) 3 wheat and cheese crackers (snack) unk whats for dinner tonight but I hope its good 30 minutes on the gazelle And just an update on my son and his diabetes: We had our first follow up appt with his specialist today and my son has lost 8 lbs this month and the dr said that he was doing great and didnt even feel a need to do any blood work today..He says that as long as he is showing that he is losing weight and doing well on his foods then his bloodwork would straighten itself out and he wasnt going to worry about it...He wants him back in May to check his progress...I am just so proud of him...He finally gets in to see his nutritionist on Tuesday and I myself am kind of excited about that appt too...He didnt want to weigh the entire time since his last appt and was shocked today thinking maybe 3-4 lbs but 8 lbs and his eyes got huge and he walks with a little extra umph in his step now...And this is kinda funny, but he actually says he needs new clothes now cuz his are too big....lol...hes a nut, but an 8 lb lighter and a happier 11 year old after today!!!

    I have done the 2 meals a day with a protein shake for breakfast every morning basically since my surgery...I seem real tight in the mornings and am scared and have mentally blocked out breakfast...I add a spoon of peanut butter to my shakes to help me get a little bit more protein but it seems to keep me full until lunchtime...Of course my weight loss has been kinda slow if anything lately so I might not be doing the right thing

    Hey Sarge!!!!! I know that I havent been posting as I should lately...I have been just feeling so blah lately and sick from Thursday thru today...Guess a bad cold or the flu, but I found out how hard it was to throw up thru something smaller than a straw....Its not any fun and I dont want to experience anything like that again...I did start working out again yesterday...But alas, even with me not being able to eat I still havent lost anything...I am going to be lucky just to have a 2-3 lb loss for this month and that really discouraging since I had 9 last month...But I guess that my body was taking a break...I am trying to get everything straightened back out and back in line, but its just depressing...I am glad to hear that everyone is back feeling better and glad that I am not alone on my depression these days...Cudos and cheers for those that are doing great on their loss and keep it up

    I have been craving our bbq dinner all day today and had big plans for tonight...I had 1 bite of a wonderful bbq rib and 1 bite of cole slaw and was running to the bathroom...I ended up just sitting there the rest of the meal listening to everyone else saying how great and wonderful it tasted...Its just upsetting

    Bandida, keep your chin up...That air has to come out sooner or later and you will feel 100% better...I know that going back to liquids right after you were starting to get a few tastes of mushies is really going to stink...Why would you say you might have to turn back? Did the dr say that the air might push your band out of place or something?

    Same for you as for lala, I would try some gas x and see if it helps at all...It usually works wonders...Right after my surgery my gas bubbles felt like they gathered in the middle of my chest and in my shoulder blades in my back..I know that it can cause alot of discomfort and pain

    It sounds like you might have some built up gas bubbles causing some pressure...I know that those can cause alot of pain and it will just go away on its own, but then again Im not a dr and it might be something totally different from what I am thinking...Have you tried taking some gas x??? I have heard that that stuff really does wonders

    Today: 20 oz orange water 8 oz whey (breakfast) hand full of mini chocolate kisses (snack for the rest of the week) 1.5 cups of chicken tortilla soup (lunch) 40 oz water (so far, not doing good on that today) dinner unknown right now and think I might just go home to bed instead of working out today

    Ok, evil demon dogs have attacked my will power today...I just grabbed a hand full of minature hersey kisses and scarfed them down...I dont know whats gotten into me lately...I guess that I get depressed when the weight loss has slowed down and I tell myself that I might as well have that chocolate,or that half a batter dipped cow bathing in butter cuz its just not going to make a difference anyhow!! Oh well, I am having one of those not feeling good kinda what the heck kinda days

    My check in for today: 20 oz orange water 8 oz whey(breakfast) chopped turkey, creamed spinach, cole slaw and 4 green beans all crammed into a 5 oz container(lunch) 60 oz water 20 oz green tea medium size grilled chicken salad(dinner) and I have to confess my sins...I have been craving tortilla soup...And thats just really strange for me cuz I have never in my life had it before..So I found a real easy recipe and bought the stuff on my way home today and made a batch for my lunches for the rest of the week...and yes, I grabbed about 1/2 a cup to test it out and it was wonderful to me 2 cans of the low fat cream of chicken soup 1 can of enchilada sauce 2 cups of skim milk 1 package of the pre cooked chicken southwestern style 1 cup motzerella cheese put it all in a pot and let the cheese melt and when its done put it in a bowl and crunch a couple tortilla chips on top...OMG, it was wonderful...oh and I put 1 spoon of lite sour cream on top...OMG OMG OMG...I want more
