    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

    Ok, just got in from the dr...The dr said that he has gotten some type of virus on top of his strep throat...So it was straight from strep to a virus...Drives me crazy..Did xrays and said his chest was fine but that his nasal cavity was all swollen and plugged up...So she gave us some nasal spray to open them up and said to continue with the antibiotics from the strep, which we were going to do anyways...Oh well, just time will heal I guess...But I went ahead and took him to lunch and I had broc cheese soup and a few bites of a salad...Then I saw him eyeballing a peanut butter pie so I got us 1 piece and we shared it with the large piece on his side of course...But I am doomed for the day with my diet just from lunch, but his happiness and welfair come first right now to me...Tomorrow will be a different story

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

    Thank you everyone for the well wishes!!! I was feeling guily about falling behind today so while I was laying there trying to take a nap I decided I had just enough time to get my work out in before my shower...So I just propped mini me up on the couch with the remote and took off for the yard...I got in my 13 runs and 21 walks today anyways and had my 8 oz of chocolate whey for breakfast...downing my 20 oz of honey and lemon green tea and off to the shower and to get ready for the dr appt!!! I am going to try to stay on track...It feels kinda good to get my workout over with so early in the morning...Good luck to everyone today!!! Work hard and be proud!!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

    Girl, I dont know how much of any of that I will get in today...Was up all night with my son with a high fever...Had him at the clinic saturday and they said it was strep and started him on antibiotics...And now his throat stopped hurting and his fever was gone till last night and came back with a nice juicy cough and messed up nose...After playing nurse all night I called in for work and he has a drs appt at 1030, so I think I am back off for a nap until its time to go...But I will try to get some of that stuff in, PROMISE

    8 oz chocolate whey (breakfast) small salad (lunch) grilled chicken salad (planned dinner) got in lots of water and alot more planned just finished 13 runs and 21 walks around the yard...keeping it up even tho I didnt lose anything and hoping it will start coming off again...The band wont fail me, it will be me that fails me if I dont succeed!!

    No problem with you catching what I got girl...I decided today to keep it for myself...I still weigh the same as yesterday which still puts me at half pound over my highest loss with the band...I am going to keep working out and doing whats right...I still think that I need to go in for a small adjustment, but we will see how it goes

    8 oz chocolate whey (breakfast) 5 oz enchilada cassarole (lunch) ham and cheese omlette (dinner) did all my laps walking and running today...want to move my ticker really seriously now, just .5 lb to get back to where i was and .5 lb more and I can move that dang thing, finally!!!!!!!! So no days off from working out this time...Going full force

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

    Well, I didnt get back to my 60 lbs yet like I had hoped and I had really worked my butt off this week...I lost 3.5 lbs that I had gained back....5 more to go before I get back to 60...Oh well, not much I can do about it except to continue to work my butt off for the next week and see what happens now that I will be back to almost where I left off..I guess I ought to just be happy with the 3.5 that I had lost and go from there

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

    This morning I slept in late so I missed out on breakfast but I started counting at lunch 8 oz chocolate whey (lunch_ small piece of enchilada cassarole and a spoon of refried beans(planned dinner) lots of water today (but havent been keeping track) got out grocery shopping and took my time walking all the rows and putting up grocerys 14 runs around the yard and 22 walks(1 more of each today) Will be weighing in in the morning when I get to work bright and early so I am hoping that all my hard work this week on the running will pay off...I have my fingers, toes and eyes all crossed...Im working really hard....Come on, anything over a 60 lb total loss will thrill me totally...I seriously want to be able to move my ticker again...Its been a month and a half since I have been able to move it!!!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

    Oh my goodness>Theres gonna be a baby in da houseeee!!!Yipee, I just love babys!! I hope that this was good news for you...I know that it probably didnt come at the right time for you, but it never does...Just embrase it and enjoy!!! As for me: I started out great 8 oz chocolate whey (breakfast)then it went downhill baked a cake for my husbands work and wanted to make sure that it turned out good so also made one for the house to taste first, of course I had to taste it 3 times to make sure the first 2 tastes werent wrong (yep they were right, it was good)!! Was an applesause spice cake...I used the non sweetened applesause and used splenda instead of sugar....Then had most of a slice of pizza for lunch...And dont quite know what we are doing for dinner!!! So, I did get in alot of water today but didnt keep track of exactly how much, but I am sure it was enough 13 runs around the yard and 21 walks around the yard...And feel like I need to do it all again but dont think my legs would keep up for another round!!! I will weigh in on Sunday and I want to be over the 60 lb mark by then...I have been working very very hard this past week and I want something to show for my hard work!!!I am going to put the cake behind me and move on from here!!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

    My good news for today: I have been running for 4 days now increasing a little bit each day...The first day I lost 1 lb, the second and third day I didnt lose a thing, then this morning I woke up disgusted until I saw that I had a 2 lbs loss...I have almost gotten off all that I gained over the last month and can finally start on some new numbers... The bad part, my legs are killing me but my pulled butt muscle is feeling a little bit better...Each day is getting a little bit easier and I am going to try to keep up with my lucky number of 13 for my laps, it seems to be working for me...We will just have to see how it goes from now till Sunday for my next weigh in with a run each day

    You have lost your ever lovin' mind girl...lol...You need to step on that scale every once in a while just to see how your doing and how much damage you have done...lol...I point my finger at mine and have a hateful talk with it every morning before I step on it...It starts out with "i hate you and you hate me so lets get this over with" lol

    Ok, for me today: 8 oz chocolate whey (breakfast) pack of wheat and cheese crackers and some carrots (lunch) scrambled eggs, a couple small sausage links (planned dinner) 8 oz orange water 40 oz water (so far) 8 oz mango flavored green tea 13 run laps around the yard 19 walk laps around the yard each day I am adding just a little bit more, we will have to see how it treats me at the end of the week cuz so far its not doing anything for my weight, but that could be cuz I am adding muscle...I am trying to give myself the benifit of the doubt here I am going to lay down, every muscle in my legs are killing me and somehow I pulled my left butt cheek...My bed is calling my name

    Thanks turner...He has been doing really good...Last time we checked he had lost 12 lbs...He is one of those people that doesnt want to weigh in until he goes to the dr...So he has another appt with the nutritionist on the 27th and we will see how hes doing...From the looks of him it looks like he has lost quite a bit...So i am keeping my fingers crossed for him

    Ok, today my workout was 10 times around the yard running and 14 walking...that is 1 more time than yesterday on my runs and 2 more than the day before...I foresee it getting easier as time goes by...What made it better today was that my son actually got out there and had a contest with me thinking he was going to kick my butt and he only got 8 times running and 10 times walking so I am pretty proud of that and plus I am proud of him for atleast trying

    After all of my running yesterday the scale didnt move an inch...But I am sore down to the bone today...I am going to keep up with my new way of working out just to see if it makes much of a difference...I am thinking that it ought to kick in soon and I ought to see some pounds start to come off...I will be keeping my fingers crossed anyways

    Ok, I tried a little different workout today...When the sun went down and the eyes were off of me, I went out and jogged the backyard 8 times around then went 8 more walking for a cool down...This might not sound like alot to some but it was for sure a workout for me...I might have been able to do more if the dang dogs didnt think I was trying to play with them and they tried to trip me around every corner...But for now, that was really good for me...Hopefully I will be able to get off a few of the extra pounds that I put on over the last month or so

    I know that it sounds funny...But it has weights that you can put into the ends of the contraption and for us (me) that have a habit of even tripping over their own toes its a good life saving thing...lol...its hard to describe...But look it up on the net...JUMPSNAP and tell me what you think...It burns 100 calories per 5 minutes and come with a starter video then a more intense one after you get use to it

    Ok, I totally gave in this morning to an infomercial...First thing this morning I saw one for a computerized ropless jump rope with a training video...Its called the "jump snap"...and comes with a training video...Counts your calories burned and your repititions for you...It looked and sounded cool anyways...So I went to the website and ordered it...I wish it was already here..I dont know how its going to go once it gets here but we will see

    Good, I am glad to hear that you are going to the dr and trying to make it work instead of making a harsh decision...You will be amazed at what a slight unfill will do for you!!! I can not even come close to understanding what you are feeling cuz even if I get sick maybe once or twice a month I feel terrible and am disgusted with it all!! Hang in there and see how you feel after getting some removed...I really wish you well on this journey...I really wish you could get in sooner than the 17th tho, thats a long time to go without being able to eat girl...Any chance of getting in sooner?

    Girl, you need to do whats right for you... Do some soul searching and come up with the best thing for you...Its true that the band is just not for everyone and it still is a lot of hard work and working out basically just like being on a lifetime diet or pay the price...It has ended up being alot more work than what I actually thought it would be in the beginning and I am talking now from my depressed state due to having no change for a while...Have you talked to your dr about you having this other surgery? What is he saying to you dear?
