  1. OH, so all these unwanted babies will have insurance and guaranteed all the care they'd ever need. NOW I get it!
  2. Yes, when push comes to shove, it is the individual themself that has to deal with what they did or didn't do, regardless what others 'think' is correct. Guess that goes back to being judgmental. Oh, BTW Sunta, did you ever think your post would be so popular?
  3. Ok, picture yourself in Utopia. No abortions whatsoever, and I mean EVER. To what extent should society as a whole $pay$ for social services for these unwanted children? Like kids forced to be born w/severe disabilities, life threatening medical conditions, drug addicted, neglected, abused etc? Will all the anti choice folks be adopting at least one of these kids and raising them to be a positive contributing member of society? How about the bigger strain on the healthcare system, Medicaid?
  4. I AGREE WITH YOU 100% ON THAT ONE!
  5. Then God love'em. They broke the cycle!
  6. OK, if CHOICE is sooooo horrible, then what about birth control and sex education? Like I said before, outlawing all choice will NOT stop people from having NON procreational sex. Unfortunately, non procreational sex is in our society to stay. Maybe if we outlaw all abortions, then how about all strip clubs and ALL adult entertainment period (not something I'm really into anyway). In this male dominated society, we know that the 'adult' enterainment industry will NEVER be outlawed and the online porn industry is supposidly a multi BILLION dollar business. Hmmmm ponder that one.....
  7. I'm sorry to hear your story about your son. At least he is being a real man, fessing up, and taking responsibility for his actions. Not very common anymore. Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a dad!
  8. That makes two of us, their choices sucked! I am doing all I humanely can to show my son that's what happens when you make bad choices. Unfortunately, having a 'normal' person an outcome of an abusive upbringing usaully is NOT the norm, just read the newspapers, visit a welfare office, home for abused children, prison, etc.
  9. Of course they're giving it bad press, it's taking away from THEIR profit margin!

    The new Smoke-Free Ohio Law

The truth hurts. What can I say.
  11. Sure, if the dad wants to carry it for 9 months, more power to 'em! If men could get pregnant, there would be MANY 100% effective methods of birth control.
  12. Boy, you must be one of the lucky ones then! The majority of adults I've seen raised in abusive situations have either been in prison (mutiple times), on drugs, pregnant at 14, or all of the above (some in my own extended family). I wish I lived in your utopia! I still just DON'T undersand that if you are so against abortion, just don't have one! How are the anti choice folks to judge someone that's having a bad enough time as it is?
  13. This is not disturbing, it's twisted! Why do they even bother to perform the procedure then?
  14. What I would take from this is that to the anti choice folks is that the fetus' survival is more important than the mother's....? Correct me if I'm wrong.
  15. My thoughts exactly, just forgot to add to my other posts....Especially the part about the non-white, non-heathy babies. Like I said before, then don't have the procedure if it is not for you. You have NO idea what's going on in another person's life as to judge them for doing something you don't think is 'right'. I don't think people who make the difficult CHOICE to have the procedure go out & get pregnant on purpose just to have an abortion. PLease. My mother was 42 in 1970 when she found out she was pregnant with me, post breast cancer at age 36. She refused an abortion due to her religious beliefs eventhough the Dr. recommended it. The things I saw growing up until her death (from cancer) when I was 12 were things NO kid should have seen, yet alone see a parent go through. I myself am 36 and it still haunts me sometimes. There were many times I wish she would've taken the Dr.'s advice. I'm guessing it would've been legal at the time for medical reasons, but at least she had the CHOICE.

    The new Smoke-Free Ohio Law

I live in OH and voted yes on 4, no on 5 or whatever it was to outlaw the smoking and am thrilled! It will be nice to go to a restaurant w/my son and not be sitting in the 'no smoking section' getting someone's second hand cancer stick exhaust. Remember, a no smoking section in a room is like a no peeing section in a pool! My husband smokes (outside only), I buy him cigarettes, but he also knows I will NOT take care of him when he gets a smoking related disease. The sad part is that I really don't care, and he knows it. Just don't' do it around me, our son, or our animals. :clap2:
  17. Well, you should be commended for being able to share your story. You may never see it happen, but that man will eventually meet his maker and be judged then for his action(s). You are lucky that you and your husband are still together 20 years and 2 kids later!
  18. When I was 18, I was cute, petite, and maybe 120 pounds (and thought I was "just a cow")! As far as weight goes, I'd be totally disgusted and embarrassed of myself. Also, some of the "choices" I made in the last 10 years regarding my personal life have a lot to be desired. I would be proud that I have a beautiful 3 1/2 y.o. son, a fairly decent job, and have actually grown some gonads so that I'm not as pushed around and emotionally "needy" as I was then. I was soooo concerned what others thought of me I just molded to what THEY wanted. Now THEY have the real me to contend with! I think that just comes with age, experience, a good therapist, and the right medication....

Commercial On TV Can You Help Me

Try Googling "Inamed 1-800 number":) . It's worth a shot! Hope this helps!
  20. Ok, so now we know that the Dugger kids will never have a CPK. Geez, you'd think they were "Chuckie" or something....Interresting facts on the fam....
  21. Ok, if the fetus is about 1" long at the end of the 8th week (yet alone 6th), (according to webmd) then I'm assuming you'd actually have to physically examine it w/somekind of magnifaction device. I doubt the sex would be actually visible to the naked eye....Like I said, any OB professionals out there? If I read the original post correctly, and the Dr. broke the membranes early w/o her authorization and saying the fetus was dead, did he do an ultrasound to check for sure? I certainly hope he was disiplined by the medical board or a complaint filed.... Posts regading the Duggers were interresting. I still think her && JimBob are out there crying for attention. Are they out to break a record or something? Must be nice to have stuff donated to you from "sponsors". PLease. Yes, I'm still a Christian, raised strict Catholic, and believe in God's teachings!
  22. Then, I was forced to report to the hospital for a D&C to scrape all the remains of a very small little boy out of my uterus. I'm sure all at some time wonder about the nameless, faceless little boy or girl who might have been. I didn't think sex could be determined at 6 weeks???? I had my first ultrasound @ 7.5 wks and they had NO idea that my son was a son...Any OB's out there? I am lucky to never of had to make this decision, and hope I never have to. An ex-family member had about 6 abortions. Yes, 6. To be honest w/you, it was just as well these children were NOT carried to term since she is a drug addict, alcoholic, and just plain mental case. Adoption, I know, but she'd never have given them up, she would've just mentally and physically abused them like the 3 she kept! Needless to say, that's why my family member divorced her and has had custody of the kids all along.

    I'm approved!!!!!!!

Unless the bariatric center sent in my stuff w/o me knowing, it only took a few days for approval! I have to wait at least 6 weeks (i'm on birth control) for surgery, but have to come up w/the $350 "membership fee" before they'll even schedule the surgery. Looking at maybe mid February....Thanks for all the good vibes you all sent and encouragement. :update:
  24. Has anyone watched the cable show w/the Dugger family? There's a couple shows on, like, "15 kids and pregnant again" or something like that...Personally I think the whole family's nuts, and I'm sure they're being paid for having the shows made about them. It's like each time she's pregnant again (which is probably about every 9 months) they make a new show (which = more $). Now I know how they financed their new house the "had" to build! I start to watch it, then get ssssoooooooo irritated that this woman is breeding like a rabbit I turned it off because they're capitalizing on it. It's like they're crying for attention by doing this! Maybe I'm the weird one for only having one kid because I can't afford another at this time.... PS - yes, I was raised strict Catholic and fully believe in God and his teachings.
