Geezzz, I thought if you go to confession, you do your penance, and that's it.....I find it kinda hippocritical, but isn't that how it works? Needless to say, God (or what your higher power is) is the one and only one that should be doing any juding, I don't believe anyone on this board or anywhere else is qualified, unless you want to bring blasphmey in here again. Any medical PROFESSIONALS out there want to chime in on this?

Well, then the first trimester should be the cut off. I don't believe I said anything about a FETUS more than 10 weeks, you're talking more. Oh also, I see alot of bible quoting, but what about medical journals or posts from REAL medical professionals, not self proclaimed?

Well, that's great that you and your cousin are OK. Still, comparing a living, breathing baby BORN outside the womb to a 10 week old FETUS is down right obsurd! Get as worked up as you want (or don't want to for that matter), but it's NO one else's business to judge others, when you don't know what situation they're in, I don't care who you are. Like I said, how many 10 week old FETUS' are viable? If it ever happened it must have been a medical miracle ripped from the headlines of the National Enquirer.

Barring the rank odor, I'd think she'd become septic or something and also s/been seen by a good shrink! Imagine the story the healthcare providers now have....eeeww! Kewl barfing emicon though! I think the medical term for the fetus living off a host twin you're describing is called fetus- infetu or something. Another thing I learned on discovery health channel!

If I would define fetus to someone that had NO idea what I was talking about, I would say it is a group of cells that cannot live outside the mother's womb on it's way to becoming a baby. At 1 week, 5 weeks, or 10 weeks that's what it is. How many 5 or 10 week old fetus have lived outside the womb? I don't know, I'm asking for medical evidence here....anyone a taker on that one?

OK, what happened? Did one live? Did the surgery take place, since that was in 2000? Geez, I didn't realize the UK was like that...It seems like it's the politicians ordering the surgery, not the Dr.....

I respect your opinion. I don't agree with it, but that's why we live in the USA. Comparing OJ slaughtering 2 living, breathing humans, to an unwanted pregnancy at say 10 weeks that can't live outside the womb is is like comparing apples to the moon!

What does it say on the EOB form from the insurance company.....Patient: Sally Smith and fetus? I don't work for an insurance company, but I doubt it! Any folks working for an insurance company out there? Also, it is the mother's decision along with her doctor as if to have the operation. He can't force her can he, and If he can, we live in a worse society than I thought!

That's a whole nother issue, that's not illegal yet, is it?.....So you mean to tell me these girls go on dates, dances, play sports, and are just having a great old time? Heck, kids are horrible if you're different at least 18 years ago when I was in high school! If you didn't have a certain kind of clothes, were overweight, etc. you were left out. Luckily I was neither popular or teased. Sometimes I think these documentaries make it look like life is just grand for the people the story's about, but don't show the behind the scenes reality. Once again, their mom had a CHOICE and she did with her body as she wanted......

You go girl! I've got people telling me surgery is the 'easy way out'. Kinda funny that these same folks have NO idea the hell I've been thru with my weight and they're all skinny folks that think they know everything! ONCE AGAIN, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT A PERSON'S LIFE IS LIKE TIL YOU WALK IN THEIR SHOES! I have NO idea why people can't keep their noses out of other adult's business and their medical issues, be it unwanted pregnancy or WLS. I had Rubella early in my pregnancy with my first biological child, by the way. I was offered a "therapeutic" abortion. Had I accepted, I would have aborted a perfectly fine, absolutely normal baby. There is nothing wrong with my "Rubella baby". He has an IQ of 160. That's just it, you had a choice and made it. There's NOTHING wrong with that.

Well, I hope the biological mother can give that baby as good a life as it could have had w/the adoptive parents (probably not). I'm sorry but the popular cases I've seen on TV about that makes me sick! Especially after the child has been living w/the adoptive family for years, then mom decides she wants them back....

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like a MAJORITY, (not all) folks posting that worked/know folks that worked in social services see families that seem to see the welfare system as a game of how to get the most $ from Uncle Sam, some by having a boat load of kids and teaching them the game.....VERY interresting! I wonder if one part of the country has more ethical people needing services than anthother? My question has yet to be addressed:....How will all the anti choice folks make a positive contribution (ie, each adopt, care for support, put thru college, etc) to all the unwanted children born if there was no choice?

That's an absurd comparison. Again...it's not about preventing the abortion; it's about saving the baby. Perhaps someday there will be a way to take a newly conceived fetus from its mother's womb and put it into another environment to finish developing. Maybe then, everyone would be happy. No, is should be about preventing the unwanted pregnancy!
