I had the same problem that everyone talks about in here as well as a hiatel hernia.I originally had my band done in 2009 and had some porblems with it being very tight.Becasue of change in insurance had to go to different DR whi is very good but becasue of slippage and bad acid acid reflux he suggested he go in and see if he could fix the band. During the surgery it was decided to put a new one in so hopefully this will sove the problem. He did day there were some scar tissue from he had to get red of when he was doing the surgery and I'm more sore this time around.

Janet went down the same road when the Dr. overfilled me and I ended going top the ER the Next evening to have some taken out. It was a very scary experience and would not ever wnaat to repeat it.

I had my third fill done on a Friday and should have stayed to drink they whole glass of water but left thinking everything was ok. However as the evening progressed I was unable to drink anything as it kept coming back up and got a bad case of the hiccups. I was unable to sleep at night and the next day was still unable to drink anything and was constantly throwing up. Later in the evening called the emergency line of Top surgeons and theny sugested I go into the ER room and geet some of the fill removed. I did this and had 4cc removed and it really made a difference. I willl make an appt this week to get another fill as it will have been about a month so figure the swelling will have gone down.

I quit drinking it about week before surgery which was july 2 and after going thur the withdrawl stage decided not to start again. I figured if I can stay away it only benefits me. Bit it was harder giving up the Soda with the caffeine thne giving up the beer.

Hi Heather hang in there as the process is different for everyone. I have to constantly think about what I'm doing ans staying on top of drinking enough water and eating the right things. You made the right step in getting the band. Sean -
Beer drinkers come here please!!!
wallyone replied to gtbadkitty's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was a very big beer drinking as was not unusual to drink about 4 of the 24 oz bud light. Bu8t since the surgery gave that up as well as the Diet coke,Which was reallly hard,Manilu due to the carbination. It has made a differnece and has helped in the weight loss as well as eating more healthy so what the DR'S said was correct.Sean -
I think Dr.Salimitari is no longer with Weight loss center as his picture is not on the website.

Treadmill VS Elliptical
wallyone replied to bandster_1007's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have a proform treadmill and a Cardo-zone eliiptical and I was doing both for 30 minutes apiece prior to my surgery on July 2. About a week ago started doing the treadmill again for 30 minutes and today did treadmill for 30 minutes and eliptical for 20 minutes and didn't encounter any problems health wise. Am seeing Dr. this Friday for adjustment adn hopefully he will clear me to do full workouts. I can read doing both machines so it helps to pass the time. Sean -
Wow Becky What an idiot she was . Beleive I would not have been able to hold my tongue and proably would of said something if my dog had a face like yours I make him wald backwards so not to offend everyone. Another one is when someone made a rude remark to winston churchill He said madam I can lose weight but you can;t change anything about being ugly!!ASean
