I am sitting here at 192 lbs. I started at 337lbs. My life has changed so much. I look back now and say...what the hell did I do to myself! I was out of control! Now the scale is my best friend! I just want everyone to know that you can do it too!

February Bandsters?
flyerband replied to mrsmyers2010's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will live on soups! I did not like soups til I got banded. Now it's clam chowder, lobster bisque, cream of tomato, cream of mushroom, potato soups of all kinds... lost 144lbs on that my friends! I can eat other things but it's just easier with the soups. Feel great and everyone is saying that I'm thin now! Everything in my life has changed for the better. Congratulations to those of you just banded...hang in there. It will get much better soon. YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR SCALE! lol! -
Has Anyone Had This Happen To Them?

I was on a cruise ship for 6 1/2 months performing. 2 weeks before we came home I got the flu and was throwing up a LOT. I started having REAL problems holding anything down and was having severe acid reflux. To the point of caughing up gastric juices from my lungs!!! Lost 10 lbs by the time I left the ship. Went to the doctor asap at home... next day surgery! The band had slipped and was obstructing almost all I ate or drank. Due to the throwing up I got a hyatal (spelling) hernia. Had the band fixed and the hernia repaired. Now things are getting better but it was still a real pain. Hope this does not happen to anyone else... -

Good luck to all Feb bandsters! It works you know!!! Your life will be so much better soon. Just think about the good thing coming and not you thinks you are giving up. I have lost 144lbs over the last 2 years. I have reached my goal weight. My life has changed forever thanks to that band! 56" waist to a 36" waist. Get ready to be happy... That's my experience anyway. Todd Hartmann 5' 11" 185lbs 56 years old and feeling 36! -
It is now 2 1/2 years post lap band... Victory! 144 lbs lost. Waist was 56 " now 36"!!! 337lbs to 193lbs. It saved my life in so many ways. It is a miracle. You can do this!!! I did and I'm no one special. I am not hungry and I don't crave anything any more. Liberating feeling. Watch for the final chapter being recorded soon and you'll see what I'm talking about. Good luck with your lap band adventure!!!

It is a strange feeling when you finally get to the weight you dreamed of... you look back at the person you were and say to yourself "how could I have let that happen to me"! I was 337 at my highest weight. Today I am 197! God Bless the Lap Band procedure. You can do it too. Todd Hartmann -
