    Nursing Home Abuse

Yesterday, BuSh went to the stock exchange to make a speech saying that the economy is great and that he doesn't get enough credit for the great economy. Yes, the economy is great if you are a wall street banker or Corporation executive, but not for the workers. BuSh actually complained about the disparity in pay between workers and Corporation executive and said that we (meaning the government) needs to do something about it. HOW ABOUT A GRADUATED INCOME TAX WITH MORE BRACKETS? That has worked in the past. When I was a child in 1950's the economy was great, millionaires were being made by the barrel and the maximum tax bracket was 90%. Today the maximum tax bracket is 35%. Back then there was either 6 or 8 brackets, today there are three. BuSh wants the Democrats in congress to raise taxes, so he can veto it and then the Republican candidates for congress in 2008 can point fingers at the "Tax and Spend Liberals". God forbid that Billionaires and people who make those obscene incomes might have to pay more and then some of that money could be used for nursing homes and raising the salaries of nurses, and maybe some for education.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Well, I guess then, I have no brains. That is why people have complained about your style. You imply that to disagree with you, shows proof of inferiority. It is ok for a minister to condemn abortion, but not to say to vote for Mr. A instead of Mr. B. The minister has too much power and is too much of a authority figure, and as I mentioned in a different thread, people are too easily swayed by authority figures as proved by the "Milgram Experiment". In the "Milgram Experiment" subjects killed other people when the authority figure said that it was ok. Of course, no one died because it was rigged, but the subject pressed the switch which would have killed if it was not rigged. The people of Germany tortured and killed innocent people because their authority figures said it was right. Ministers might not be that evil, but when one minister or group of ministers wants to do things that are evil and they claim it is God's will, then people will respond with evil deeds. It has happened with Muslim terrorists. It has happened with White Supremacy groups in the USA, UK and Germany. It can happen with Evangelical Christians or to Jewish people who belong to fanatical groups.

I can't play for a while. My minister is bringing his car over to my house in a few minutes so that I can try to fix it for him. Helping each other is the Christian thing to do IMHO. I'll post again later.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

My wife and I have a friend of over 20. We were neighbors in Brooklyn before we moved to Florida 3 years ago and I was her co-worker when we met in 1984. She also moved to Florida about 5 years ago and now lives 100 miles from us. She is a 45 year old Black woman who goes to a Protestant church. Her sister lives within 5 miles of her and also attends the same church along with many of their friends As you may or may not know, Black women voted over 95% in the last two presidential elections for the Democratic candidate and Blacks in general were about 80%. On the Sunday before the 2004 BuSh-Kerry election, their minister had a guest minister give the sermon. That minister told the congregation that a vote for Kerry is a vote for Satan because of Kerry's pro-choice, pro-Gay union stance. It would have been ok to talk about the immorality of abortion and of gay sexual activity, but it was not ok to mention either Kerry or BuSh by name or to suggest that a sermon is a voting instruction. Both our friend and her sister have been life long Democrats, but the sister voted for BuSh. Our friend did the right thing. The sisters still debate their choices to this day. Many of the congregation voted for BuSh based on the sermon. My minister talks about politics all the time, but our whole congregation, 100% unanimous has voted for the church to not take a IRS deduction and we are therefor allowed to discuss these things. Money is regulation. Religion should not be regulated by the government, but religion should not regulation the government either. If we wanted a tax deduction for our weekly contributions, we can't be politically active. If my minister wanted to avoid tax, he could stop talking from the pulpit about politics. It is ironic that the extra tax we pay to be politically active helps to finance the wars that we speak against. But at least we are honest about it.

George Bush: Worst American president in history

Bush's speech writers were trying to save money, so they decided to recycle a BuSh speech from before the Invasion of Iraq. They decided to use the "Find-Replace" function and replace every "Q" with a "N" The old speech had said: Iraq has WMD Iraq is a threat to the USA Iraq has ties to Al-Qiada The new speech said: Iran has WMD Iran is a threat to the USA Iran has ties to Al-Niada

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Gadgetlady: I was trying to find out why it happened (sentence vs crime). She hasn't said that she knows if there was a plea bargain or not. If she doesn't have all the information, fine. But I wasn't challanging her. I was questioning her to learn more. * Leatha: I am sorry if I hurt your feelings. But I was being inquisitive. I should have been a little more sensitive, but no ill will was intended.

It was mighty Christian of you to assume that I was ridiculing her because I tried to find out why such a gruesome crime only had a 7 year sentence.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

You are reading questions as if they were statements. I am trying to figure out why the disparity between crime and sentence. If I was an authority on this case, I would not be asking you for more info, nor looking for more info. Google can find many stories of things that happened way before Google was around.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

As I said, I wanted to understand how the crime could be so gruesome and the penalty so light. Though you have gone through Hell regarding this case, I still do not know the answer. I even tried to Google for an article about it, but had no luck. If it was a plea bargain, as I said, then maybe 7 years was better than no time at all. I doubt that if they have enough evidence to prove all that you said, that he would only get 7 years. My condolences.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

I didn't say you made it up. I am asking how you know these details to be true, yet the man only got 7 years. Could it be that there was not enough evidence for a conviction, so they plea bargained? People do not get the death penalty when there is a plea bargain. Without the plea bargain, the man might have gone free. Or did you hear what happened as per the police on TV and then at trial, it turned out that it was not quite what the police had said had happened? I would never insinuate that you would lie!!!

You do not have what you think you have. P4 is an Intel CPU and Athlon is a AMD PCU. You do not have both in your PC. Download this little program by clicking on this link and then click "Save File" After it is downloaded to your desktop, just click on it and it will tell what is installed on your PC. No installation required.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

It doesn't matter if I have daughters, sons, sisters, mothers, etc. Killing is wrong. Killing in the name of the state is wrong. There is, I suspect, something wrong with your story. If things happened as you wrote, I do not see how the sentence was 7 years. Are you sure that there is not some supposition in your story?:help:

    Anti-Semitism In France!

I am going to start an organization called "Christians for War and Execution". Oh, there already is one and its called the "Conservative wing of the Republican party".:faint: I think that when Constantine (about 325 AD) declared that all Romans would become Christians, what may have happened is that (too) many Christians became Romans (in spirit).

George Bush: Worst American president in history

Europeans fear US attack on Iran as nuclear row intensifies · Transatlantic rift emerges over how to handle crisis · America builds up its naval forces in the Gulf Europeans fear US attack on Iran as nuclear row intensifies · Transatlantic rift emerges over how to handle crisis · America builds up its naval forces in the Gulf Ian Traynor in Brussels and Jonathan Steele Wednesday January 31, 2007 Senior European policy-makers are increasingly worried that the US administration will resort to air strikes against Iran to try to destroy its suspect nuclear programme. As transatlantic friction over how to deal with the Iranian impasse intensifies, there are fears in European capitals that the nuclear crisis could come to a head this year because of US frustration with Russian stalling tactics at the UN security council. "The clock is ticking," said one European official. "Military action has come back on to the table more seriously than before. The language in the US has changed." As the Americans continue their biggest naval build-up in the Gulf since the start of the Iraq war four years ago, a transatlantic rift is opening up on several important aspects of the Iran dispute. The Bush administration will shortly publish a dossier of charges of alleged Iranian subversion in Iraq. "Iran has steadily ramped up its activity in Iraq in the last three to four months. This applies to the scope and pace of their operations. You could call these brazen activities," a senior US official said in London yesterday. Although the Iranians were primarily in Shia areas, they were not confined to them, the US source said, implying that they had formed links with Sunni insurgents and were helping them with booby-trap bombs aimed at Iraqi and US forces, new versions of the "improvised explosive devices". Senior members of the US Congress have raised concerns that the US will attack Iran in retaliation for its alleged activities in Iraq. The official said there were no plans for "cross-border operations" from Iraq to Iran. But he said: "We don't want a progressively more confident and bolder Iran ... The perception that Iran is ascendant in the region and that there are no limits to what Iran can do - that's what is destabilising." The Americans and Europeans have sought to maintain a common front on the nuclear issue for the past 30 months, with the European troika of Britain, France and Germany running failed negotiations with the Iranians and the Americans tacitly supporting them. But diplomats in Brussels and those dealing with the dispute in Vienna say a fissure has opened up between the US and western Europe on three crucial aspects - the military option; how and how quickly to hit Iran with economic sanctions already decreed by the UN security council; and how to deal with Russian opposition to action against Iran through the security council. "There's anxiety everywhere you turn," said a diplomat familiar with the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. "The Europeans are very concerned the shit could hit the fan." A US navy battle group of seven vessels was steaming towards the Gulf yesterday from the Red Sea, part of a deployment of 50 US ships, including two aircraft carriers, expected in the area in weeks. "No path is envisaged by the EU other than the UN path," the EU's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, told the Guardian yesterday. "The priority for all of us is that Iran complies with UN security council resolutions." The IAEA chief, Mohamed ElBaradei, called at the weekend for a "timeout" in the worsening confrontation in an attempt to enable both sides to save face and climb down. But the Americans rejected the proposal and European officials involved in the dispute also believe the Iranians cannot be trusted to stick to a deal. Despite recurring tensions on the Middle East between the US and France, the French are the most hawkish of the Europeans on Iran and are said to back a US drive to tighten the noose on Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The populist and recalcitrant leader is perceived to have been weakened recently, in part because of a mishandling of the nuclear row. "One group of western countries thinks it's a good time to step up the pressure on Ahmadinejad. All options are on the table. Others are worried we might be stumbling into a war," said another diplomat familiar with the dispute.

The slave owners had their way with the prettiest of the slaves as did the male sons of the slave owners, so many of the so-called Blacks or Afro-Americans or African-Americans are mixed race. Before I moved from Brooklyn, I lived in an area with a high percentage of Nigerians who were relatively new to the USA and were pure African.

BuSh was asked why he didn't listen to his father who wrote that it would be a mistake to take out Hussein (in the book "A World Transformed"). I heard and watched George W. BuSh say on National TV (WNBC) that when it come to war and politics, he takes advice from a "higher father".
