Have they found the Boxes Jesus was buried in?

Nobody forced BuSh to pick his circle of advisors. I can not believe that he just happened to get a bad lot. Maybe if BuSh had chosen less advisors from PNAC, we would not have invaded Iraq.

    Such a bigot

I was trying to be cute, but my distaste for her runs deep. My remark meant that she says things that others only think, but do not dare to say. Hence she has the balls to say what others are afraid to say. She plays with logic as when on the YouTube clip she says that 100% of the airline attacks in the last 20 year shave been committed by Muslims, so when there is a 100% chance, it is ceases to be profiling, it is a description of the suspect. She is wrong in her logic. Just because 100% of the attacks are by Muslims, doesn't mean that 100% of Muslims are doing it, and profiling 100% of Muslims is punishing innocent people. Just about every serial killer of prostitutes has been a white man. Should we ask our police to stop every white man walking the streets late at night? Or to stop every white man driving alone late at night? Of course not, but it is worse than that. How do you tell a Muslim from a Jew. Many people can not tell a Muslim from person from India (who are very seldom Muslims). Many people can not tell a Muslim from an Hispanic. Chinese people are sometimes Muslims as are some whites and some Blacks. If I was a Muslim and wanted to hijack a plane, I would carry a copy of the KJV of the Bible with me, or wear a Yamaka. It is funny how the conservative FOX Noise channel made a big fuss the other day, because an airport worker escorted ex-vice president Gore around airport security. This is the same FOX that wants profiling of Muslims to allow the safe people faster access to airplanes. Seems like FOX is being “Fair and Balanced" as usual. They want Muslims profiled because of the high risk of terrorism, but want the ex-vice president treated like anyone else, though I haven't heard of any planes being hijacked by vice-presidents, past or present. The US has a pilot program for speeding frequent fliers through security screening. FOX has been in favor of these type programs in the past. I wonder if FOX would think that Al Gore is as low a risk as the frequent flyers in the pilot program. I wonder if Muslims will be allowed to sign up for the program.

Have they found the Boxes Jesus was buried in?

That is a question like "Have you stopped beating your wife". It is a question that makes assumptions. It assumes (and tricks you into admitting whether you answer "yes" or "no") that you were beating your wife. The question from the posted article pretends to ask if you believe the documentary that they have found the bones of Jesus, but really asks if you believe that it disproves the resurrection of Jesus. Why must finding the bones and the resurrection be mutually exclusive? As I stated in the opening post of this thread: If it was a spirit type image of Jesus rather than a corporeal body leaving the tomb, then there could be a resurrection and a box with the bones of Jesus. If (and this is a big "IF") they can prove that those are the bones of Jesus Christ, our Saviour, it will not shock nor reduce my faith in Jesus. I hope all Christians can say the same thing.

    Best Airline for Larger People

As an airline mechanic for 35 years, I worked on many planes besides the ones owned by the company that I worked for. The seats are pretty standard and if someone weighs less than 300 pounds, they can normally fit (very tightly) in a coach seat. As you go above that figure, you will first need a seat-belt extension (free-provided by airline) and then as the weight increases a ticket for two seats (at your expense). I can not give exact numbers for weights because different height/weight combinations change the details. Obviously a 5'2" 300 pounder and a 6' 300 pounder would be very different. I didn't see any weight numbers in you sig, except for your loss of 29 pounds. Keep up the good work.:clap2: Keep losing and the airplane seat problem will become smaller as you become smaller.:clap2:

It might be that the geeks now have the money to be "Rebels", while the rebels are fighting to survive because they blew their money (and education way back when) being rebels.

Soon you will disappear, and when you do, go back to that store, and although no one will recognize you, you can look around and have a big laugh about yesterday.

I need to get this out of my system.....

But I was "the easy going type". Well, at least near the end of my 35 years, I was. I was "Hell on Wheels" at the beginning, but nothing sobers a man up than working on planes that crash right after you work on them. It happened to me 3 times, and though nothing I did was related to the crashes, the FAA breathing down your neck, takes a lot of the playful spirit out of you. Tina says that she is lucky. I kept my good traits and changed most of my bad traits. Of course I still talk too much, but...

    Ack. Owie.

Wheetsin, have you seen a Chiropractor? I had continual back problems that medical doctors could do nothing about, except keep me in a stupor with drugs. After 4 or 5 visits to a Chiropractor, I was able to function normally. A visit every few weeks after that, kept me "straight". Right now, I have the best of both worlds; my GP (Family MD) was a Chiropractor, and when no one is looking (he works for a large medical institute), he will give me an "adjustment".

    Roadside shrines

Many people have stopped, because burglars target homes of people at funerals. I found them to be just as prevalent when I lived in Brooklyn NY.

    Joke

A stranger was seated next to little Tommy on the plane when the stranger turned to the little boy and said "Let's talk. I heard that flights will go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passengers." Little Tommy, who had just opened his book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger "What would you like to discuss?" Oh, I don't know. said the stranger, and then thinking he would have some fun at Tommy's expense said, "How about the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power?" "OK," said Tommy, "that could be an interesting topic, but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same grass yet the deer excretes little pellets, while the cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?" Jeez," said the stranger. "I have no idea."! "Well then," said little Tommy, "How is it that you feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know shit?"

I am always baffled as to how any straight person can think that being Gay is a choice. I am going to speak graphically here, so anyone who is prudish, please stop reading now. When I was 11 years old, I was talking to the prettiest girl in my class and all of a sudden, I realized that my penis was rubbing the inside of my pants and trying to push its way through. No one had ever told me about that physical reaction. This was 1956. This was before video tapes. We had only had TV for a few years in my home and the shows were not realistic (sexually) and movies were all "goodie-2 shoes" types. I had no idea what was going on. I never had the choice to be Gay. Ask any straight person when he decided to be straight. If he (or she) is honest, they will have to admit that they never did. It just happened to them, just as it just happens to Gay people.

    Vent regarding the Ultra Religious

You make good points, but there is one more side to this story, and that is that hate, when cleverly disguised as the word of scripture, can be spread to unsuspecting people. I feel that the large group of members of many different backgrounds and various religious leanings, especially the devout Christians, stopped the spread of evil ideas, by never letting anything go unchallenged. While there may not have been much of an interchange of ideas between the competing forces (which is usually bad), there was also no interchange of ideas between the "person in question" and onlookers who might otherwise have been influenced (and that was good). Would Elmer Gantry have been held up to the light of day, the disinfectant of sunshine if it had not been for Sinclair Lewis?

    Vent regarding the Ultra Religious

I don't consider the posts on the threads about religion to be wasted. Many people learned a lot about religion and many learned a lot about human nature and some learned to "sit back and watch".

    Technical Problems

The site has been intermittent today. I have had the same problems using three different computers; an iMac, a WinXP PC and a PC running Linux. It hasn't been 95% of the time, but it has happened at random. Whenever it happens, I try a second time and if still NG, I try a different site to make sure my DSL and router are both OK. It has been the LBT site.

    Vent regarding the Ultra Religious

Churches have become too active in politics IMHO, but the Catholic church has not been the ardent backer of the present administration as many other denominations have. I hope you don't mind that I consider the Catholic church to be one of the Christian denominations. I know some people consider the main religious groups as Christian, Catholic, Jewish and Muslim, but I think of it as Christian (including Catholic), Jewish and Muslim. Anyway, The Catholic church has been one of the few to oppose the Iraq war and also has opposed some of the hideous weapons systems the USA has produced over the years. I am not happy with many of the group's oppinions on most of the social issues, but that is what makes free will so interesting.
