I dont care what you do or dont believe... BUT

You do fine. What you are saying is similar to the “Literal Bible versus Allegorical Bible” debate: You have faith, but you also have reasoning and thinking abilities (which were God given) and those abilities should not be thrown out in order to accept every claim, whether in the Bible or in the present day media. Did I get that right?

Flonase, yes and Nasonex (not at same time) and anti-histamines and decongestants. Both the Flonase and Nasonex work for me for a while, then they stop working and finally they add to my symptoms, so I can only take them for a few months, then stop for a few months, then take them... I had similar medical problems back in Brooklyn until the late 1970's. Then I went to an EENT in 1978 and he sent me to an Allergist, a throwback to the old days who took his time and listened. After many years of treatment, I improved 95%. However, after a while, he would not play the games that the insurance companies require and stopped taking any insurance, so I could not afford to go to him after 1998 and I started with another Allergist (recommended by the first), who even though he received all my records for 20 years, refused to treat me unless I started from scratch. One of my blood tests this past week was to determine my allergies. They no longer do the skin prick testing according to the Florida doctors. Even though the skin pricking technique is time consuming and (mildly) painful and uncomfortable, it worked on me in the past. I wonder if the blood test technique is better or just more cost effective (insurance companies again).

I dont care what you do or dont believe... BUT

I would rather live out my life and then meet God in Heaven. I see no need to hurry the end of the lives of my children and grandchildren. I see no need to hurry the start of the Tribulation. Regarding the Rapture that you are expecting: Have you ever really pondered the ramifications of it all? Are you going to be you? Or are you going to be some other being? You can't be you if you are not perfect now. Or will you still be a sinner in Heaven?

    body temperature questions

This is what worked for me. It is called breathing. Whenever I get cold, I breath deeply for a while. I don't overdo it and hyperventilate, but I find that taking in extra oxygen tend to warm me up. It takes a few weeks before the full effect is reached and it takes longer if you cater to the feeling of cold by raising the room temperature or putting on extra clothing. Oh, and do not cross your arms in front of you. Keep the shoulders back and breath deeply in and then deeply out. Some people use what they call the "four square breathing" regime. 4 seconds of breathing in (not a count of 4, but 4 seconds), hold it in for 4 seconds, 4 seconds of breathing out, 4 seconds and then start again.

    really sore

If you have a recliner, it may help you. I slept in my recliner every night for about a week after my surgery. It gets better fairly quickly. Good luck and let us know how you progress.

    What Peeves you?

Both types are looking to cause an accident. There is a lot of tracker trailer traffic here and trying to drop behind an 18 wheeler is a trickie move coming off the acceleration ramp. I hate it when I see an SUV or big pickup truck tailgating me at 70 MPH on the acceleration ramp, because I know what is going to happen. They will jump lanes and get right behind the 18 wheeler, leaving me no where to go.

Just curious. What excites you about the rapture coming soon?

    What Peeves you?

What drives me up the wall, almost killed me today. When a car is entering a highway, like Interstate 95 or the Florida Turnpike, there is an acceleration ramp so the vehicle can pick up speed to match the speed of the cars (already on the road) before moving left into the right lane. I hate it when the vehicle behind me (on the acceleration ramp) guns it and jumps into the right lane as I am ready to move left from the acceleration lane. There is not enough acceleration lane left to stop and nowhere but the grass to go. I am not a slow driver. I drive a 4 cylinder Camry which has decent, though not spectacular acceleration, but of course there are V8's that can just zip right around my car.

That's what I think it is. My EENT is a real jackass (I was going to leave jack out) and the only reason that I don't change doctors is because in this area, there are no real doctors (in this field). Doctors today just want to cover their asses and run a regiment of tests without ever listening to the patient. Thank God, this jerk is moving to another state and my next visit will be with one of the firm's three partners (it will then be two partners). It is hard to leave and go to another doctor once you have started being tested for this and that, because the new doctor wants to start all over again. I have been treated with antibiotics for sinus infections 6 times in the past year. Every time my sinus gets infected, one of the symptoms is loss of balance and dizziness. Every time my GP treated me with antibiotics, my sinus infection got better and my loss of balance and dizziness went away, but this EENT says a sinus infection can not cause loss of balance and dizziness I have had a CT scan of my sinuses, a hearing test and inner ear test with hot and cold air being blown into my ears, etc and blood tests and today an MRI with and without contrast (dye). I hope it is allergies and I can take shots to immunize me. I'll keep you guys informed of my progress.

    Hilary Speaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, I do not expect that to be the final word, but I am curious. If the member who started the thread deleted the original post, wouldn't the whole thread be deleted? Some forums work that way and some don't. Does anyone know how the LBT forum software works in that case?

    Tell me if I'm wrong...

I think it has come about because many people are trying to act like the celebrities of stage, screen, politics and majesty that we worship, rather than the simple folk that they are. Putting on the dog? There is an old saying, "If it wasn't for weddings and funerals, I would never see (many of) my family (members)". Wedding and Funerals have both gone over the edge of sanity. Just about the time, you recover from paying for the wedding, the funeral comes around and puts you in the hole, both literally and financially. In both cases, it is the same problem, smooth talkers hooking the gullible into buying more frills than people of the economic bracket should be expected to buy. "It is the one day or the only time..." or "You want to do it right, don't you? are two lines that hook people. Mortgaging the future for one day is a joke, a joke played my the smooth talkers who rake it the bucks while the consumer smiles the smile of temporary insanity.

I have been having dizzy spells and lost my balance quite a few times. They wanted to rule out any brian abnormalities. Insanity was not ruled out, but I will get the MRI results next week.

I was being playful. I have been to so many doctors so many times lately, with so many tests, so many prescriptions and so much failure, that I am getting frustrated, hence the humor. I was being figurative, but feel free to take it literally.:clap2:

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Is that part of the Bible or do you use the name of Jesus in vain?

I dont care what you do or dont believe... BUT

I wonder who would believe Jesus Christ if Allah sent him down to Earth to give mankind one more chance. We have become so jaded, that Jesus Christ would probably wind up with David Copperfield in a contest to see who could perform the most astonishing miracle. Wait. Wasn't that a South Park episode? If Jesus Christ spoke out against Global warming, Gun violence, the Iraqi war, corporate greed and persecution of Gays, Mel Gibson and the Christian Right would crucify him again, thereby saving the souls of all the Liberals. But if Jesus Christ spoke out against Gays, women's equal rights, abortion and Muslims, the Liberals would walk away with their heads down and Jesus Christ would grow old without dying for the sins of the world, causing all mankind to burn eternally in fire.

    Tell me if I'm wrong...

Tina and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary on 7-7-07. We were married in my in-laws' finished basement by my (minister) father-in-law, had 20 guests and we spent less than $500 between clothes, food, and drinks. My son and his bride had a wedding that cost over $50,000 and the marriage lasted less than 3 years before the divorce was final. I spent more money on my son's wedding rehearsal dinner than on my wedding. In some things, you get what you pay for. But not always.
  24. I don't know if anyone has heard the news, but there is a claim that the boxes that Jesus and his family were buried in have been found. "While the Bible tells the story of Jesus and his resurrection, this box could show physical evidence that he existed, was buried and that he had a son, Judah." While that might upset those that believe in the word for word Bible, it will not interfere with my faith, because, I don't care if it was the human body of Jesus that was resurrected or a hologram type image that one could put their hand through. It is all the same to me. I guess some group will come out with a new connotation of the word “resurrected” (was that in Greek, Hebrew of Aramaic?), so that the people who need a literal Bible can say, "I told you so", while others will deny any facts that may be shown "as science run a muck". It is nice to know that until "Global Warming" destroys the Earth (or at least its ability to support human life), there will be something interesting to debate.

Have they found the Boxes Jesus was buried in?

No one can top the husband wife duo of James Carville and Mary Matalin. He was the head of the Bill Clinton campaign and she headed the George HW Bush campaign.:croc: I wonder what they talk about over dinner? :violin::usa2:
