Paying Drug Abusers to be Sterilized

And another problem is that people who do want help can not get it when they want it. My niece was a crack addict. I tried to get her into a rehab. She had no phone in the place she shacked up in. I made arrangements with a rehab to take her in as soon as she was detoxed. I would call every day from my home to the detox center to see if there were any female beds available. Finally after three weeks, they said they had a bed and I could bring her down after they spoke to her. I jumped in my car, drove the 20 minutes to where she should be, dragged her, half-asleep out of the burned out building she was living in and put her on a pay phone in the middle of a drug infested neighborhood (pre-cell phone). They asked to speak to her. I heard her answer about 4 or 5 questions and finally she said to me, "They said that I do not qualify". I asked to speak to them. I asked why my niece didn't qualify. The person on the other end told me that they asked my niece how often she used crack and my niece answered "3 or 4 times a week". "The minimum is 4 times a week" the voice on the phone told me. “Good by!” They had a bed not being used. There was a person who wanted to be saved. But the system had no compassion and did not care. My niece died of AIDS almost two years ago at the age of 39 leaving behind 6 children. She prostituted herself to support her addiction. It was her fault that she was an addict, but the "War on Drugs" has a hollow sound to my ears.

No it isn't. I read about a group doing this a few years ago and saw the person running the program on either 20/20 or one of the other similar shows.

    US Government has No Honor

Would you say that George H W Bush was a good president for realizing that taking Hussein out would be a stupid move by the USA in 1991 (Gulf War 1)?

Why didn't you put any pictures of IRA members in your post? They are terrorists. Why didn't you put any pictures of Stealth Bomber Pilots in your post? They are terrorists. If you don't think that "Shock and Awe"; an attack on civilian targets in the night with invisible planes is terrorism, then you should look up the meaning of the words terrorism and terrorist. #1. George W. BuSh in his first cabinet meeting in February 2001 asked how the USA could take out Hussein. #2. George W. BuSh in his first cabinet meeting in February 2001 was told that he should worry about Al-Quaida instead of Iraq by Richard Clark. #3. George W. BuSh surrounded himself with members of PNAC who in 1998 wrote Bill Clinton a letter demanding that Clinton take out Hussein. #4. George W. BuSh in his first cabinet meeting after 911, asked Richard Clark if Hussein had anything to do with 911. Clark said "No!" BuSh said look some more. #5. George W. BuSh in his first cabinet meeting after 911, asked CIA director George Tenent if Hussein had anything to do with 911. Tenent said "No!" BuSh said look some more. #6. George W. BuSh was going to give a speech in October of 2002, saying that Hussein tried to buy Uranium for WMD in Africa. The statement was taken out of the speech because the CIA said they could not verify it. #7. George W. BuSh used the statement saying that Hussein tried to buy Uranium for WMD in Africa in the 2003 "State of the Union Address" even though the CIA said they could not verify it. #8. The evidence that Colin Powell presented at the UN to prove that Hussein had mobile poison gas trucks was given to the USA by an exile from Iraq who wanted to be president of Iraq when the USA threw Hussein out. The CIA said they could not verify it. #9. US Diplomat Joe Wilson reported to the USA that Hussein had not tried to buy Uranium for WMD in Africa in February 2002, so the US government outed his CIA wife putting her and many other CIA agents' lives at risk.

    US Government has No Honor

Let's see we are debating two points here: #1. Was BuSh right to invade Iraq? Before the March 16, 2003 Invasion of Iraq, BuSh (or his people) claimed that Hussein had WMD and Iraq was tied to 911, and the administration continued to say it for years after. I said for at least 6 months prior to the March 16, 2003 Invasion of Iraq, that they would find no WMD in Iraq and Iraq had nothing to do with 911, and in fact Hussein and Bin Laden did not like each other. Recently BuSh has said regarding the reason for the Invasion of Iraq, mistakes were made, Hussein had nothing to do with 911 and there were no WMD. So why are you debating me? Debate with BuSh. I was right and he was wrong. His statement of "Mistakes were made" didn't mean that TOM made mistakes. It means that BuSh and/or his advisors made mistakes. So that leaves one other excuse for throwing away the lives of 3200 US servicemen: "The world is a better place with Saddam Hussein gone". Well, that is not true either. Hussein was the safety valve holding Iran in check. The USA's military is at its breaking point, but now we may have to fight with Iran. Where are we going to get the people for that? Hussein was a scumbag, but he kept a 1400 year religious dispute under control. Now the USA has to figure a way out of the mess in Iraq. That mess may spill over into the rest of the Middle-East igniting WW3. #2. Is it right to leave the Translators to die? Part of that "The world is a better place with Saddam Hussein gone" statement is the addendum that the people of Iraq will be better with Saddam gone. Well the people who have helped the USA the most in Iraq, the translators, are being left to die by the USA. There lives will not be better. Where is the compassion of the “US State department”? Where is your compassion? We are teaching the people of the Middle-East that the USA has no honor. If the USA turns its back on their few friends, how can the USA be trusted?

    US Government has No Honor

The US has no right to enforce one resolution by violating the most important rule of the UN. It didn't make Hussein a nice person and he was a lowlife of the first order, but the BuSh administration has tried to use the argument that Hussein supported terror and then by using Al-Quaida's terrorism in the same sentence, they forged a false link in the minds of the US public. Why didn't we invade Northern Ireland to stop the IRA?

I'm not holding my breath. People whore themselves for money. Most US Generals say that the US Military desperately needed and needs these translators. And you equate them with Whores?

And getting back to the original topic. When the US treats people that they needed like dirt, they will soon find that there will not be anyone around to help the next time they need someone. The US Government has no Honor.

    US Government has No Honor

#1. The treaty was with the UN, not the USA. The USA had no right to invade a sovereign nation and fellow UN Member State. #2. The CIA workers knew that there were no WMD and only the head of the CIA went along with BuSh because BuSh brow-beat him #3. Joe Wilson #4. Hussein support the families of Palestinians suicide bombers . Not all terrorists are the same. Palestinian suicide bombers did not know down the WTC. The US Military personal who used "Shock and Awe" on 3-16-2003 were terrorists also. So George W. BuSh supports terrorism. If you do not think planes bombing a city as was done with "Shock and Awe" is terrorism, then why would you think planes knocking down the WTC is terrorism?

    Rights of Medical Providers

I was trying to fix a 747 airplane with 400 people on board and my boss wanted me to use the trouble-shooting chart that Boeing provides in their maintenance manual. I wanted to use my own methods for fixing it, because I felt that my rights to free will were being compromised by Boeing and the airlines insistence that I use their methods.

Paying Drug Abusers to be Sterilized

I know of quite a few people who were drug addicts at one time, who have become productive citizens and do not use drugs anymore. I have written in another thread about the person that Tina and I consider one of our closest friends, who once was a crack addict and has become a wonderful mother and a decent provider. She is married to another reformed addict and neither one of them has used drugs for over 15 years and they are raising 4 children. I can also recount many others who screwed up when they were young but are doing well now. This program is wrong (IMHO) because, it will be utilized mostly by the poor and minorities, because others will pay for their habits. The average American pictures coke addicts (that includes crack which is a form of coke) as poor Blacks. Almost 90% of coke addicts are white and many are Wall Street and Hollywood types. Is Britney going to take the $300? It is also anti-female. While they might offer the money to both genders, I will venture a guess that females would be the primary victim, I mean patient. Punishing people for life for a mistake early in life is wrong. This is a shortcut around civil liberties and a slippery slope towards eugenics.

Homosexual Liberal Atheists ~ What's UP with that?

As far as being "created" goes. I believe that I was created by my parents (with their free will and) a biology that was originally started by God, but that is not under his control (or else there would be no free will). Yes, God can control things, but I don't believe he choses to (or else no free will). I believe that God created and placed a soul into me when I was born. I don't believe that God would create and place a soul into an embryo and/or fetus until it is going to be born and I do not believe that God knows the future or else why was he disappointed with Satan, Adam and Eve, the people of Noah's time, etc? You say Christians do not save themselves and you say that people have free will. The only way I can rationalize that is to think that you mean Jesus had to lay the path for Christians to be save by his sacrifice, but now Christians can elect to be saved by becoming real Christians (by accepting Jesus), but even the Holy Qur'an says that. How come, the Christian Right Political Movement doesn't make the same fuss about adultery and lying as it makes about being Gay? Two of the 4 front runners in the latest poll of Evangelical Christians are people who cheated on their wifes while married (adultery with other women and lying to their wives). And yes, Christians can sin and be forgiven, but at what point when the rate of sinning does not slow, when the nature of the sins get more and more repugnant, does Jesus say, "I gave my human life to save you, you pray to me, but you are not even trying"? If Adolph Hitler prayed everyday to Jesus, would he be in Heaven now. I know one can not get to Heaven on works alone, but can not one disqualify himself from Heaven with continuous bad works?

I find more and more edits that show scant regard for either Christianity or America [3]. This site seems to have been inflitrated by liberals pushing their agenda. JC 12:47, 14 March 2007 (EDT) Sounds like someone is afraid of something. The first criteria ought to be, is the information accurate? Menkatron 13:41, 14 March 2007 (EDT) I am all for truthiness, as long as it is conservative in nature--Anikitos 14:42, 14 March 2007 (EDT) Truth cannot have a "nature". Truth is not a variable. Truth will remain truth without any regard to political views. So if liberals are writing the truth on pages, and you don't like it. Then there must be a problem with your thinking, since the truth can not be altered.--ALFa 17:33, 15 March 2007 (EDT) Well NPOV is important on here, if not it would be breaking it's own rules. This site has rules against things un-American. The First Amendment is one of the things that makes America what it is. To deny this, is un-American.--JamesLipton 16:35, 14 March 2007 (EDT) I'm for accuracy at every point of the article subject. Whomever writes on a particular subject, get your sources together first and write as well as you can. Karajou 09:17, 15 March 2007 (EDT)

This site is the epitome of what is wrong with the USA and why the USA will destroy itself. If everything is looked at with an "we are correct, lets adjust the data to prove it" attitude, then of course the rest of the world is wrong and a paranoia will entrap us, setting the stage for a war among people who see the world as a place for all humanity as compared to the people who see the world as a place to do the bidding of the USA. This is “doublespeak”; right out of 1984.

I looked up George w. BuSh and it said (in part): Though the liberal media continues to disparage Bush's handling of the economy, they often neglect to report the many aspects of the economy that Bush has improved. For example, during his term Exxon Mobile has posted the largest profit of any company in a signle year, and executive salaries have greatly increased as well . This is due to changes in the stock market that lead to a record high in 2006, recovering from the Clinton years which lead to the lowest point of the stock market in January 2000 AD since the great depression of 1929 AD, and "Companies are churning out double-digit profit growth" currently. Even the working class is benefiting from the Bush economy, as unemployment hits an all time low in March 2007. Bush worked with Democrats to raise the minimum wage to a more livable level. during his term Exxon Mobile has posted the largest profit of any company in a signle year, (what's a signle?) The profits have been at the expense of everyone else in the country. executive salaries have greatly increased as well. I find that amusing because BuSh was complaining a few weeks ago about the excessive salaries of CEO's. Even the working class is benefiting from the Bush economy. I guess even the working class deserves to have something. Bush worked with Democrats to raise the minimum wage to a more livable level. Or BuSh fought the Democrats, but lost that battle.

I don't know if the prices of homes in the USA effects the prices in Canada, but the prices down here are going to dropping quite a bit in the next year or so. The gimmick mortgages are starting to bite the borrowers in the butt and foreclosures are going to double this year and be even higher next year. Selling homes will reach epidemic proportions.

    US Government has No Honor

The US soldiers go home to their barracks every night (or every day, if on night patrol), but the translators have to go home to their neighborhoods. And the familes of the translators are sitting ducks. The reason that the USA gets the bad press is for doing stuff just like this; not taking care of the people that help the USA. The "Maine" and "Tonkin Bay incident" were two issues of faked excuses for the USA to get into previous wars. It appears that the people who were fooled were the US and its allies and it was all the time. Before the war started, there was ample proof (as per the CIA) that there were no WMD in Iraq, but the head of the CIA, George Tenent, needed to keep his job and he told BuSh what BuSh wanted to hear. Tony (the Liar) Blair was not going to sabotage BuSh, so he went along with it, too. No one said that Iraq had no weapons, but they had no WMD. After all the heat BuSh has taken for Iraq having no WMD, do you think he wouldn't be telling the US public if WMD had been found? Do you think BuSh is a shill for the Democrats? Book after book comes out claiming that the US found WMD in Iraq, so I guess there are two choices; either BuSh can't read or BuSh is a masochist. Oh, wait, there is a third choice; the books are full of BS. As far as Saddam not living up to his treaty. His treaty was with the UN, not the USA. It was the UN's job to enforce it. The USA was so worried about Hussein not living up to the UN's rules that the USA violated the #1 rule of the UN; not to attack a fellow UN nation. Of course, Hussein had to play it coy and claim he had no WMD, while leaving a doubt that he might have some. He had Iran, a country with twice the population of Iraq and a Shiite population too boot, ready to invade at any time that Iran saw weakness. Hussein knew that if Iran invaded southern Iraq, the Iraqi Shiites in the South of Iraq might join forces with the invading Iranians. These are things that BuSh should have realized, but never thought of.
