  1. Happy 34th Birthday AFwife!

  2. Happy 33rd Birthday AFwife!

  3. Hey, Had not heard from you in a while and just wanted to see how things were going. Hope all is well.

  4. Just wanted to say hello, Had my first fill yesterday, and WOW!!! HE put 5cc's in the band so I think I have 7 total right now. Of coarse it is a 14cc band.

I can only eat about 4-5 bites and I am stuffed. It does hurt if I dont CHEW. Man I wish I could remember to do that more.

  5. Well First fill is tomorrow :) Cant wait. Not looking forward to the PB's though just need to remember to take it SLOW.

  6. I can totally understand about the finding people here in the st louis area. I do talk to one person that was getting surgery right after I got mine, we had the same Dr. and try to keep in touch via facebook. I just cant believe that there are not that many people around here that have had the lap band done. This web site has helped out so much.

  7. Well I had to do a 6 month dietican supervised diet first for insurance purposes, I lost 25 pounds in those six months. The rest of the weight has come off since my 2 week pre op diet. For the most part 50 pounds of it has come off since June 22nd.

I cant wait for the fill. I try to eat mostly protein to keep me full longer, however it gets kind of boring. I really cant wait to have bread. I have 2 weeks for that.

I am not doing to bad with the weight loss, I am about 11-12 down since 1st week post op. I totally understand the impatient part. Its like I know what to do I just dont always do it.

  8. I got my first fill on 8/3. I've lost 26 pounds so far (after surgery) and am trucking right along. I'm feeling "stuck" with certain foods, learning what I can and can't eat (mostly bread and pasta, the usual) and to take it small and S-L-O-W! I have had one episode of sliming, but no PBs. Still not feeling good restriction though. I actually haven't felt "full" since June despite truly "listening" for it. Right now, I stop eating b/c it hurts and I'm too impatient to slow down even more. However, if I took 2 hours per meal, I could eat as much as I wanted. Not quite sure that's how this thing is supposed to work. Right now I have 6.5 cc in an 11 cc Lap-Band AP.

You are doing quite well according to your ticker. Did you lose a lot of weight pre-op?

  9. Hello there, Yeah not to far away at all :) So how are you holding up? Have you had a fill yet? I am actually getting my first one next Wed. Cant wait.

  10. Hi, I'd kept hoping I would meet someone in the St. Louis area....and now even better. I live in Fairview Heights and was banded on 7/8/09 by Dr. Eagon at Wash U (even though I work for SSM...oops!). Just wanted to say hi!
