I had my first fill about a month ago and although I know the first fill really doesn't do much, is it normal to not lose any weight? I get another fill a week from tuesday but am freaking out that I haven't lost anything... before the fill when I was on liquids and even before the band (just dieting for pre op weight loss) I was able to lose something (from then till before fill its about 40lbs) . Is this a plateau that I have hit? I'm also confused as my clothes have dropped another size since my fill ... so it doesnt make sense that I haven't lost a pound. Any help would be really great, thank you! (One last thing, does stress affect anything? This past month has been a really awful one so I don't know if that has anything to do with it X_X)

Hi, I just got banded yesterday and came home this morning (had to stay overnight due to vomiting from being under). I sipped clear liquids all day when all of a sudden I was extremely hungry so I decided to try a half cup of low sodium chicken broth. I sipped at it and stopped after I had about 2/3 of what I had taken and about a half hour later I started feeling VERY full. Now its been a couple hours and it hasn't passed... Its like that feeling when you ate too much and could vomit. Did I just misjudge and overdo it or should I be worried? Also, if I do vomit will it make the band slip? I threw up 3 times yesterday from anesthesia (sp?) and my doc wasnt to worried about slippage. Any help would be great, Im so worried

Hi, I'm kind of new here (created my account a while ago but never posted XD) and have been going through the motions to get the surgery approved for the past year. I got approved aout 2 weeks ago and my surgery is this monday. Although I'm somewhat excited, my nerves are starting to get to me. Part of me is starting to doubt myself and trying to get me to call and cancel everything. Is it normal to question if what your doing is right? Even up to the last days? I really do want this... I want to lose the weight and feel better and everything else but I cant help but be scared... not only of the surgery itself but that I wont lose the weight or that I wont be strong enough to do it. Its like my mind is split and starting a war with itself. Did anyone else doubt themselves and feel like this? In case it matters, Im female, 5'5, 19 and about 330lbs

Thank you so much for your reply! It was great to know it was normal to feel the way I did  I got my band yesterday, had a little panic attack before but the doc and nurses were all super nice about it and did the best they could to be a comfort. A nice surprise was that my nutritionist (who I get along with really well) came in and was in the room with me. It was definately helpful. Everything went ok, but I did have a problem from being put under and had to spend the night due to vomiting so much. Im home now though, just sore and still feeling a bit nauseus and the hiccups/coughing doesnt help lol. Either way I think I made the right choice, thanks so much again for the support!
