Hi louismom, I had my band out 2 months ago and still have the heartburn it's getting better though, the RNY was not an option for me I'm too nervous to do that or the sleeve I don't really want to go through anymore surgeries I haven't gained any of my weight back I actually lost 10 lbs snd am now exercising 4 days a week thanks to my husband who is helping me and giving me the motivation I needed for now that is what I'm going to stick with for now you never know what the future my bring I might change my mind if I did I would do the sleeve the RNY is just too risky I work for a doctor and saw and heard things that changed my mind away from the RNY but to each is own if that's what you want then you should do it good luck! : ) just take time to heal before you do anymore surgery! I am post band removal over a month still don't feel 100% still have the heartburn and a menthol feeling in my mouth and throat went to gastro they don't know what it is had a sonogram!! Driving me nuts anyone out there have similar feelings?

I have similar symptoms are you feeling any better? Mine was taken out almost 3 weeks ago, still have the heartburn.

OMG the horror stories I am reading makes me nervous I had mine removed almost 3 weeks ago having the band 41/2 years I'm still not feeling to good heartburn menthol feeling in my throat and tongue bloated feeling in the pit of my stomache incisions still bother me can't eat too much get heartburn all the time never had this while having the band in, so upset going to make appt with the gastro doctor called my surgeon office they never call back a little frustrating really upset.

I had my band removed a week ago I'm doing fine no pain and I agree you are very tired after.

I just spoke with my surgeon it takes 3-5 days to feel better like the band is no longer there he said that it takes time for the stomache to soften up and not feel like its still in there.

I just got mine removed Tuesday I'm just trying to find out if anyone still feels like its still in and if the heartburn goes away soon I still have it. Beth

Have been banded for 4 1/2 years now and fell off the band wagon only lost 53 pounds don't know how to help myself!!! HELP!!

My band is pretty tight I still get stuck and throw up, but once I throw up I could get anything down, so frustrating!!!
