So July 11th will be five months post from a band to sleeve revision. Life has been great no complications. I live and feel like a normal person. I went from a starting weight of 280 to a current weight of 212. I wear a size 36 waist and I am currently running 20 miles a week. Side note. I have been a very avid runner since my band. 6 years and 2500 miles logged on Nike plus. My question is that while I know I don't each that much, I feel like I can eat quite a bit. Especially given that my surgeon says my stomach is the size of a thumb. I am wondering if I am still healing and may be able to eat more due to my esophagus which may be able to hold more due to years of band eating. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Okay officially frustrated. Sleeved February 11th, weighed 273 currently weigh 241. Have been 241 for quite a while now. Running 4.5 miles 4 days a week. I am guessing its due to a lack of Water and calories. Need some help and encouragement. Sent from my iPad using VST

Just as it says. I have been the same weight for three weeks. I am 6 weeks out and lost about 31 lbs. since my surgery. I feel like I'm losing inches but the weight has not dropped as I have thought it would or should. I drink a bunch and admittedly don't eat that much per day. Have I shut down my metabolism? Any ideas or encouragement. Sent from my iPad using VST

Ok so I'm about 5 1/2 weeks post op and 2 weeks away from a normal diet. My question that as of late my full feeling has seemed to vanished. I kind of limit my food intake on my own. Just curious as to why I feel I can eat away. I'm not really hungry at all. Sent from my iPad using VST

I've been running for 6 years. So the cardio is there but I didn't expect this after 3 months off. Sent from my iPad using VST

Five weeks post op. first time on the road since mid December. Felt great. Ran 4.4 miles at 9:30 pace. Which kind of sucks but I didn't stop and I know I'll get my speed back.so happy right now. Sent from my iPad using VST

Will a Sleeve Revision Work for Me? How does "full" feel with VSG?

I had my band 6 long frustrating years. And the past 30 days since my revision has been the best month ever. I have 0 hunger. Never believed that would happen. I have not puked since having the revision. Puked all the time with the band. I am only on the soft food part of my post op as of yet. However eggs don't scare me anymore. Tuna doesn't scare me anymore. Get the picture. I had six years of torture. Learning how to eat around the band because it caused so many food intolerances. I love my revision. Best decision ever. And as far as not losing as much as a virgin sleever. News flash, we are virgin sleevers. I have lost 40 pounds since 2/11/13 and I only have 70 total to loose. It's up to you. Follow the rules and this surgery does what the band was supposed to do but now is recognized as not being able to do. Sent from my iPad using VST -

So I am 22 days out and feeling great. But lazy. I only took 5 days off from work. And as of today I am down 26 pounds. I was a very avid runner up to surgery and dying to get back out there. Doctor recommended I wait six weeks. What damage can I cause by starting tomorrow. If any. I just need to go running. It was my "me" time. 4 miles a day every day. Sent from my iPad using VST

Yeah I started running in 2007 after lap band surgery. I ran 4 half marathons in 2008-2009 at a very good time. Averaged under 2 hours. Before this surgery I was running 4 miles a day 4-6 days a week. Just curious what damage if any can I do by running now before waiting six weeks. Sent from my iPad using VST

Very avid runner. Had to take time off due to my revision from band to sleeve which was successful on February 11th 2013. I am dying to get back on the road. Is it too early? I feel great. Just don't want to mess anything up. Sent from my iPad using VST

I am not yet three weeks out from my revision and I am down 24 pounds since surfer on the 11th. Feel way better than I did with the band for 6 years.

Yes I am seeing him Tuesday. Post op visit. When I took in a deep breath I was like whoa that was pretty intense pain.
