  1. I am writing to really whine, i guess. So far I have felt fine, but today has been a completely different story! I am achy, my stomach hurts, and I know that I have been doing too much! I woke up with the runs (sorry, didn't know how to spell the correct word), and have absolutely no appitite. Anyone else going through this? My thighs ache!! It is absolutely rediculous!!!:huh2:

  2. shoes,

have you tried sucking on hard candy? That really seemed to help that dry mouth feeling i was having.

I returned to teaching on the Monday following my surgery on Thursday. Monday was fine, but today I fell like a wet rag and am experiencing some diarreha (sorrry about the spelling), so today is not going as well. I am determined not to miss any school because if this. The good news is I am down 15 lbs! Keep up the good work and good luck to those about to get banded!

  3. I'm now 4 days out, and feeling better everyday! I am going back to work tomorrow, so I hope I can make it. If worse comes to worse, my students may be watching movies this next week! I feel fine, not a lot of pain. But, boy if I forget and try to bend over.....

My doctor has me what he calls a "liquid" diet, but I am able to have very thin mashed potatoes, yogery, pudding, etc. Not too bad. The worst part now is everythng is sweet (other than the potatoes). I will be very glad when I can add in new things. My caloric intake now is like 500 per day. I know I have to up that, I am just not hungry!!! Good luck to you all!

  4. For so long I tried to ignore all the discomfort and embaressment of being overweight. The rides at 6 Flags, or Disney World, the sore thighs, the airplane seats, not even mentioning the belts! To even begin to imagine life without these issues is just amazing! I get banded March 19th. I have so many emotions running through my head...scared, excited, nervous! To not have to go through any of these experiences ever again??? Bring it on...

  5. :ohmy:OMG! I am having surgery in one week, and I have not been good at all about my pre-op diet! My doctor wanted me to do the standard slim-fast diet with one sensible meal a day, but he didn't say anything about not doing the surgery if my liver was fatty! Actually, he knows that my 20 year anniversery is the day before, and when I asked about going out to dinner, he told me to "have a steak for him!" I guess I better start taking this part more seriously! :mad2:
