I just hit twoterville on Wednesday. It was a struggle and I made a mini goal of going to 275. I had my third fill on June 20. I learned I have a VG band that holds 11 cc. 1st fill was 3.8, 2nd was 1.2, and the 3rd was 2.0 so I think thats a total of 7.0. I feel more restriction than before. Keep working at it you will join us. I am making a concerted effort to stay there and make it to onederland. Granlady

Hi I had a third adjustment on June 20. I feel a little something I am going to see if this works, if not in four weeks I will go for number four. The only way I lose is to not eat and Dr. Horgan told me absolutely no liquids to eat solid food. I was 302 when I intially started the process the process took so long waiting for approval I went to 325. Dr. Horgan would not do the surgery until I was back to or below 302. During the pre-op liquid diet I went down to 294. 1st fill (3/7/06) I was 292, 2nd fill (5/9/05) I was 304, 3rd fill (6/20/06) I was 301. This morning (6/22/06)I am 298. I plan to be strategic about what I eat and on Monday I am going back to the health club and excercise. I go to "Ladies Workout Express" it is similar to "Curves" but they do have a treadmill and elliptical machines. It is on 93rd and Halsted. I'm setting a mini-goal of 275 which would be 23 pounds Granlady

Hi this is Granlady I'm checking in and weighning in I am now 299.2 Had my third fill on June 20 still not sure if it will work but I am going to give it a good effort. I read about the diet I guess I am the only one who likes cabbage soup but I like cabbage anything. I am going to try the Sacred Heart Medical Diet as soon as I can have solids. Thank all of you for your commets and encouragement. Here's alittle more info on me. I was banded 2/2/06, Icame from 325 to 294 on pre-op liquid diet. I do not remeber the size of the band but on my first fill I was given 3.2 cc and on my second I was given 1.8 and I am getting ready to schedule a third. My concern is I can eat anything I want and as much aswant. I have never had a full feeling and n othing causes me to be nauseated or to regurgitate. So I just eat force of habit and lifestyle. I actually do good during the day, it is after 4pm when the none stop eating wants to set in. I exercise at least three times a week for 30 minutes or more and I drink lots of Water. Hi Hunny Bunny, I live in Chicago and was banded by Dr. Horgan at the University of Illinois Hospitals. Unfortunately I feel like I have had no success. I had surgery on 2/2/06 and 2 adjustments but I have gained weight rather than loss it. That's why I began to seek out a support group. How are you losing so good with no band? Granlady

My name is Granlady my stats are as follows H-350, S-294, J-308, G-185, C-308. I have not had success with the band. the weight I lsot was on the liquid diet before surgery. I have actually gained weight since the surgery. Reading this thread has motivated me to get on track and try harder. I really need some :help: .
