I battled my weight for years.  My parents kindly offered to pitch in on the cost if I decided lap band was for me.  I was so tired of fighting my weight, and research showed that this was a safe, reliable option, so I took the plunge.  I am struggling a bit with post-surgery gas pain and bloating, but I have already lost 12 pounds and I am only 8 days post surgery.  I have hope that I haven't had in years.  My husband is as excited as I am for the changes that are happening in my body and my attitude toward life.
