For the last month or so, I've been going to the gym regularly and walking on the treadmill. I've consistently walked a little more than 3 miles in an hour each time, and have been happy with that. Today, I decided to be brave and kicked up the speed on the treadmill and RAN for a little while! Granted, I ran no more than 1/4 mile at a time, but I did that 4 times over the course of my hour on the treadmill. I haven't RUN anywhere in 20 years, and it felt pretty darn good!

Well, my mini-goal was to lose 50# by August 1st, and I hit it today!!! :juggle: So, I celebrated by having lebanese lunch..... B - 2 soft-boiled eggs and 1 oz. string cheese L - 2 small cabbage rolls, approx 1/3 c. steamed zucchini, carrots & green beans, approx. 1/4 c. chicken & rice (ate mostly chicken), 1 T. of cabbage & wheat, and 1 T. spinach & wheat. (I managed to avoid the baklava) S - 3 tortilla chips w/about 1 1/2 T. avocado/cheese dip, 3 small slices of cheese, 1 bite-size chunk of pineapple, 2 bite-size raspberry/chocolate bars, about 1/3 c. of white wine. (Office party. All food was very small pieces, but still....) Went to the gym and worked out HARD for an hour. D - 4 oz. grilled hamburger w/2 small slices of provolone cheese, a T. FF mayo and a T. ketchup. No bun. S - Popcorn I'm going to the lake for the weekend with 10 girlfriends...hopefully I can behave myself! Everyone have a good weekend. -

Yesterday: B/L - 3.2 oz slice of deli ham and Chocolate Muscle Milk Lite (Yummy! First time trying it!) D - 5 medium shrimp (from a "Steamable" shrimp & pasta meal that I bought. It was so nasty looking when I took it out of the microwave, I ate the shrimp and pitched the rest.) and about 4-5 oz of deli ham with 2 slices of white american cheese melted on it. S - Popcorn :tongue2: -

Sunday: B - 2 eggs, 3 sausage links L - Chocolate Protein bar S - popcorn D - bbq chicken wings, pasta primavera from a Pasta Bowl at Dominoes and few bites of the pasta bowl :bored: (In between the popcorn and Dominoes, I walked 3.1 miles on the treadmill at the gym, burning 375 calories. WHY did I stop at Dominoes after that???) Yesterday: B - approx 4 oz deli ham and 1 oz slice of provolone cheese L - Chicken & Vegetable Lean Cuisine S - Large juicy plum D - Philly steak rolls from Dave & Busters (equivalent to 2 large eggrolls with meat & cheese in them), a cherry berry mojito -

Yesterday: B - 4 oz of deli ham and 1 oz slice of provolone cheese L - 1/2 of a Frontega Chicken sandwich from Panera S - small bag of plain potato chips from Panera D - 4 oz. of deli ham and 1 oz slice of provolone Worked out at the gym. Did 1 hour on the treadmill = 3.3 miles, 260 calories burned. It's a small start, but I felt great and am looking forward to going again! -
LOL...that's a good way to look at it. Unfortunately, I don't have enough restriction to even be ABLE to get stuck, slime, etc....not that i want to, but there are times I should have, but didn't. Enjoy your time in Baltimore anyway....we just have to remind ourselves that food does not have to control us or how much fun we have. :confused:
