    Non Scale Victories!

    For the last month or so, I've been going to the gym regularly and walking on the treadmill. I've consistently walked a little more than 3 miles in an hour each time, and have been happy with that. Today, I decided to be brave and kicked up the speed on the treadmill and RAN for a little while! Granted, I ran no more than 1/4 mile at a time, but I did that 4 times over the course of my hour on the treadmill. I haven't RUN anywhere in 20 years, and it felt pretty darn good!

    Well, my mini-goal was to lose 50# by August 1st, and I hit it today!!! :juggle: So, I celebrated by having lebanese lunch..... B - 2 soft-boiled eggs and 1 oz. string cheese L - 2 small cabbage rolls, approx 1/3 c. steamed zucchini, carrots & green beans, approx. 1/4 c. chicken & rice (ate mostly chicken), 1 T. of cabbage & wheat, and 1 T. spinach & wheat. (I managed to avoid the baklava) S - 3 tortilla chips w/about 1 1/2 T. avocado/cheese dip, 3 small slices of cheese, 1 bite-size chunk of pineapple, 2 bite-size raspberry/chocolate bars, about 1/3 c. of white wine. (Office party. All food was very small pieces, but still....) Went to the gym and worked out HARD for an hour. D - 4 oz. grilled hamburger w/2 small slices of provolone cheese, a T. FF mayo and a T. ketchup. No bun. S - Popcorn I'm going to the lake for the weekend with 10 girlfriends...hopefully I can behave myself! Everyone have a good weekend.

    Today: B - 2/3 c. LF cottage cheese w/1 oz of deli ham chopped up in it; and 1 oz. string cheese L - Thai chicken Lean Cuisine S - 100 cal pak of roasted almonds D - mini Haagan Daaz ice cream bar (190 cal) :thumbup:

LF Cottage cheese w/ 1 oz of deli ham chopped up in it; 1 oz slice of white american cheese L - String Cheese S - 100 cal pak of roasted almonds D - Tilapia, sauteed in olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and dill; and 2 small fresh peaches, chopped, with splenda sprinkled on them. S - 1 oz. slice of white american cheese Worked out at the gym for 1 hour

    Yesterday: B/L - 3.2 oz slice of deli ham and Chocolate Muscle Milk Lite (Yummy! First time trying it!) D - 5 medium shrimp (from a "Steamable" shrimp & pasta meal that I bought. It was so nasty looking when I took it out of the microwave, I ate the shrimp and pitched the rest.) and about 4-5 oz of deli ham with 2 slices of white american cheese melted on it. S - Popcorn :tongue2:

    Sunday: B - 2 eggs, 3 sausage links L - Chocolate Protein bar S - popcorn D - bbq chicken wings, pasta primavera from a Pasta Bowl at Dominoes and few bites of the pasta bowl :bored: (In between the popcorn and Dominoes, I walked 3.1 miles on the treadmill at the gym, burning 375 calories. WHY did I stop at Dominoes after that???) Yesterday: B - approx 4 oz deli ham and 1 oz slice of provolone cheese L - Chicken & Vegetable Lean Cuisine S - Large juicy plum D - Philly steak rolls from Dave & Busters (equivalent to 2 large eggrolls with meat & cheese in them), a cherry berry mojito

    Yesterday: B/L - chicken salad on croissant & pickle spear D - shrimp, sauteed in olive oil w/garlic, lemon juice and dill, and fresh steamed green beans, also then quick sauteed in shrimp pan...with a sprinkle of grated parmesan over all. S - Fresh peach

    Yesterday: B - 4 oz of deli ham and 1 oz slice of provolone cheese L - 1/2 of a Frontega Chicken sandwich from Panera S - small bag of plain potato chips from Panera D - 4 oz. of deli ham and 1 oz slice of provolone Worked out at the gym. Did 1 hour on the treadmill = 3.3 miles, 260 calories burned. It's a small start, but I felt great and am looking forward to going again!

    LOL...that's a good way to look at it. Unfortunately, I don't have enough restriction to even be ABLE to get stuck, slime, etc....not that i want to, but there are times I should have, but didn't. Enjoy your time in Baltimore anyway....we just have to remind ourselves that food does not have to control us or how much fun we have. :confused:

    I have been so bad the last 2 weeks - once I start on the Carb overload that you guys are talking about, I can't quit...so I had a discussion with myself and finally got back into a good frame of mind today. B - 6 very thin slices of deli turkey (120 cal) and 1 oz. slice of provolone cheese L - Beef & Broccoli Lean Cuisine (260 cal) D - 2 glasses of White Zin (this was not good)

    Well, I have been on vacation for the last week, and my BAD behavior has caught up with me. I am at 230.2 this morning - up 2.6 from last Friday. :tongue_smilie: Back to basics for me. Everyone have a good weekend!

    Yesterday (Very bad day...) B - 1/2 c. LF cottage cheese w/1/3 c. spaghetti & meat sauce L - approx. 1/3 c. fresh guacamole and too many tortilla chips D - 2 chicken drummies, 1 taquito, 1 slice of cheese quesadilla and 4 margaritas :thumbup: (this was over the course of a 5-hour happy hour) S - bunch of tortilla chips w/a little guacamole (leftover from lunch) Today: B - Ham & turkey (very thin) deli meat on bread w/FF mayo & slice of cheese L - 1 slice of cheese on 1 pc bread w/1 T mayo, 2 bites of macaroni salad. 15 min later - 2 chocolate donut holes (My BS was too low and the sandwich and mac salad didn't bring it up, so I ate the donut holes :drool:). D - lettuce salad w/tomato, cucumber, carrots, ranch dressing and sprinkle of shredded cojack cheese, 1 small piece of garlic toast, 1 small pc of lasagna (about a cup's worth)
