    embrassing moments?

I am being banded on October 12 and pray I don't say anything stupid, because my doctor is adorable. I had breast cancer in 2001 at age 37 (and single) and while I was having reconstruction, I told all of the nurses in the OR how I thought my plastic surgeon was gorgeous. They were cracking up but I was drugged and had no idea why. (he was standing right there). My friend who is a nurse and was in the room told me about it the next day and I was so embarrassed. I am sure he has heard it all, and he did give me some nice new boobs. My goal now is for my boobs to stic k out further than my stomach. Can you all tell me how to get that ticker added?

People Who Dont Support Your Decision

I am in the first stages of meeting with all the specialists. I was not going to tell anyone I am having surgery and then I decided I didn't care what anyone said. I have a friend at work who has done nothing but put it down since I made the decision to have Lap Band surgery. Everyday there is some new reason why I shouldn't have it (makes you sick, someone told her it was unhealthy, blah blah blah). She is larger than I am and honestly, after meeting with the psychiatrist I think she is afraid I will lose alot and then she will be the only "fat girl" here at work. I am trying my best not to get mad at her but it is hard. Tell your friend to hang in there and do what makes her feel good.
  3. If anyone has a letter to send to the insurance company for pre-approval, would you please send it to me at nvydt1990@yahoo.com. It is greatly appreciated.
  4. I am going to a seminar this week for banding and was hoping to have the surgery soon. I just checked insurance requirements and they require the 6 month physician supervised program. Has anyone ever heard of this being waived. I am 44, BMI of 40 with diabetes, high blood pressure and arthitis and am a breast cancer survivor. Statistics show obesity can affect recurrence of cancer. I have MDIPA insurance which is United Healt Care. Thanks for any answers.
