Dr Kelly? Drug problem? That makes me laugh that someone (coordinator) would stoop THAT low. One look at that athletic, healthy, well groomed, taken care of man would know that is the furthest thing from the truth. And I can GUARANTEE that anyone who has ever dealt with him would agree with me 100% I'm actually offended that someone would even go that low. Someone obviously jealous that Dr. Kelly doesn't NEED a coordinator to bring in business like he does.

My bags are packed and my flight leaves at 5am! Can't wait to get this show on the road!! Sleeve sisters... Can't wait to see you tomorrow!!!!

Hello, pretty new to this side of the board...had my heart set on the band and then watched how the weight just didnt come off for a friend of mine and then watched my cousin have the VSG and watched the lbs just literally melt off in months. Made my decision alot easier! Anyway, if all goes right, I will have surgery with Dr Garcia in TJ on June 14th. Was hoping to connect with other people having surgery on or about the same time! My support system right now is my husband, who is leaving in less than 1 month to go work in Alaska for 6 months :-( The only other family I have is my sister, who doesnt approve and my father who has other things on his plate to worry about. I did get mmy Aunt to go with me to Mexico and we are both excited at the chance to spend some time together (she lives 6 hrs from me) Really looking forward to finding friends to connect with....Im always down for a good text conversation, or email! Goood luck to everyone! :-)

Finally back home! Really retaining alot of water in my feet. Guess I'll focus on getting lots of water in, until them I'm staying off the scale!

Don't base your decision on what the coordinators tell you. They are paid to only promote their doctors. Do your research. Choose a doctor based on their experience, bedside manner, how they interact with patients and their family. In the end, ALL THAT MATTERS is the person holding the scalpel blade.

I'm doing great! Cousins be happier with my decision and the dr and nurses and everyone else are just great!

Officially on the losers bench! Feel like its the first day of my new life! Went in yesterday around noonish and i think I woke up around 2ish. Woke with no pian and haven't had any pain meds yet. Did have some gas issues over night and haven't been able to lay on my left side. I've been walking the halls and sleeping. Ready for some ice chips !! I think were having the leak test today!

I was wrong, leak test tomorrow then we can move over to the hotel, yay! Ant wait for a change o scenery and hopefully something with some flavor in our mouths! Ice chips are getting OLD!

Dr Kelly is awesome. So is Omar and the entire staff of Dr's and nurses at the Florence hospital. Met ALOT of wonderful people who Were sleeved over the last few days. I hope to feel as good as they do, although not complaining. I do feel good!

I'm having surgery tomorrow here in Tijuana, once you get here you'll settle down a little, try and get some sleep tonight :-)

I'm going this week (wow that sounds strange!!) To have surgery with Dr. Kelly and he doesn't use a coordinator. Omar is his assistant and it has been a pleasure communicating with him over the last few months. Can't wait to finally get over there and meet everyone!!

Having a drain is not a death sentence! It's not a big deal and if it's not necessary the Dr won't put one in. If the dr chooses to put one in, for whatever reason, then it's obviously necessary! If I had the choice, based on other experiences and things I have witnessed (not necessarily having to do with me per se) I would choose to have a drain. I certainly wouldnt choose my dr based solely on whether or not he uses a drain.
