  1. :help: Hello all, For the past few nights I have been experiencing some severe pain that spreads from under my breast/upper chest, right around my back and back to the breast/upper chest area. The pain at times in my back is excrutiating and it feels like someone is physically squeezing and squeezing me. The pain is not nearly as bad in the day but it sure comes on at night. I had my band on 22 May and am not sure if it is a band thing or a muscle thing. Is it possible for food to sit above the band and have trouble going through and then when it tries to go through cause this pain??? Or would anyone suggest it is a muscle thing??? I have been living on some strong drugs to knock me out at night so I can sleep but I feel like a zombie. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Barkley.

    Pain...Muscle or Lap Band

Yes - still have a gall bladder. Find it so strange that it is so much worse at night. Barkley
  4. My Dr. told me no probs with carbonation - in fact he told me to try carbonated drink first if ever food got stuck! I guess it depends on your Dr.
  5. :help: Hi everyone, I have only discovered this site today and think it is great. I have a question. I was banded on 22 May 06. My question is that previously 24 hrs per day my thoughts were on food - now, 24 hrs per day my thoughts are on whether or not the band has slipped and is it still in position. To completely ease my mind does anyone know if there is an xray or something that can confirm that it is still in place to alleviate these consuming thoughts. Regards, Barkley!

OMG!!! Was this a waste of money???

Hi Medussa, I am two weeks in today and exactly the same as you. Hungry hungry hungry. I did actually eat some mushies today because I was going stir crazy - so crazy that I can't really explain it. I am panicking now that I have done some damage to the band and that it has slipped, but in my 'moment' I didn't really think of that:faint: . I don't get a fill until 10 July 2006 and don't know how I will cope until them. I know exactly what you are going through. Are you allowed to eat mushies at 2 weeks? I have heard 2 weeks, 3 weeks and even 4 weeks of liquids before mushies. Regards, Barkley

    Help...

Hello everyone, Do you know if a list of the foods is readliy available on the internet somewhere? Newly banded in Oz Barkley.
  8. Hello every, I have made a stupid mistake - I am 12 days in and meant to be on liquids for three week but for some reason as the kids were snacking I picked up some food and ate it (chocolate Mars Bar of all things). Don't know why - I didn't even realise that I had done it until some time later. I am paranoid now that the band will slip. Has anyone else ever made the same mistake and the band not have slipped? I eagerly await a response. Barkley from Australia Banded 22 May 2006.
  9. Thanks for your replies - I feel stupid. Tell me, does anyone know what it feels like when the band slips????? Barkley
