I thought you were clean shaven, that's what the pic looks like. Meant no harm. Forgive me?

I'm going to have a small group 10-12 people at my house for Thanksgiving. I bought the last of the groceries today. I love cooking and I love entertaining. I'm very excitied at the prospect. I'm pretty sure I can keep my eating in line. Here's to hoping! -
B I'll smack you on the back of the big ol' shiney head of yours... Pizza and donuts? I'd not admit that on here. You're a brave man. A six year old, PBJ and my laptop are not a good mix. WTF was I thinking? I'm not one to keep score but my home team beat the little ol' team they were playing today too. 14-3. Small pleasures....got to get them where we can. And as for kicking other people's asses I'm going to be at a small deficit today because I've been on my ass most the day and I've eaten lots. Shit happens.
-
I heart you fully.
-
D Do you know how long it took me to find that damn quote! Get your head out of your ass and stop making excuses not to exercise. WTF are you thinking?
-
BG You're a mess. I heart you. B I wouldn't trade but I'm writing a paper comparing and contrasting two different management overview systems. Anantomy of Performance and PLOC. (plan, lead, organize and control, for those of you who don't give a shit.) 4 to 6 pages of drivel I don't care about. But yeah, you win. Sucks to be you.
-
Oh Vegas!! That reminds me, yes D, we are going MLK weekend in January. You gonna make it down? TX-Glad to see you back. B-Adding some calories might make the difference. How much to burn on average?
-
B The 40% number came from the online trainer I got with the package. She said weigh a slice of bread and you'll see it weighs more than the nutrition lable says. Like if it says 28 grams it will really weigh more. I buy that to a small extent, perhaps 10% over or under but I find the 40% hard to swallow. And if I were eating Lean Cuisnes where I was consuming the entire package of something I could see the percentage being larger, but for fuck's sake...I already count the freaking Wheat Thins and don't see myself weighing them. And I'm not giving up on the BB. I feel disheartened is all. And I'll be over that too. I do appreciate what you said about the body clinging on to the pounds at this point. I think there's truth to that. As for goals, I don't know what I want to do...I'm at about 1400 daily kcals and that's what I need to not eat my pillow in my sleep if I'm at all active...I don't want to give up chocolate or coffee or ketchup....hmmmm I'll see what the others come up with. XO

My BB is frustrating me. I didn't lose any weight this week which has more to do with PMSing than not eating well or exercising, but I want to blame the BB. I had a 1200 average deficit and I should have lost! Ugh.
-
D, I'm down for some short term goal setting. What do you have in mind? Yesterday I ate an entire sandwich with deli chicken breast and FF cheese. The quanitiy surprised me. Today I ate a standard, not huge and not small, piece of lasagna. I called for a fill at the end of my lunch and left a message. I can fit too much in. ZZ, I didn't lose a pound this week, but by my calculations I had a daily 1200 defecit, eating about 1400 caloires daily. By their calculations I ate 2800 calories a day. Bitch ass bastards. I know they triangulate burn, consumed and weight...but I'm PMSing, etc. I'm just down hearted. BG, I thought you'd enjoy the ball sucking comment. That was just for you. As for the spanking, now that I could be down for, depending on what you're wearing. Oh, wait...you're talking about silly football. yeah Whatev.... For real, my kid's school is deep in buckeye country, lots of alumni and staff in the parents. When I picked her up today, the kids where COVERED in scarlet and grey. Like out of 50 kids 6 didn't have OSU gear on. Mine was one of the 6! Of course that means I need to buy some....she's outgrown most of what she's had. Ugh. XO, HP. Sorry you're so over worked. You sound like you're in good spirits though.

Marchies in Nov. (The Month of The Turkey)
OH Juli replied to Jeni 85's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I love seeing all the Marchies who don't post often speak up. Thanks so much. I love seeing how everyone is doing. Please chime in often. I'm just a loud mouth so I'm always posting! -
I might be able to make it. I will have my daughter with me and she'll not sit still for a whole lot of grown up conversation. We'll see though. Juli

ZZ, I could lick some peanut butter balls. Suck on um even.

Okay, I'm just pissed with the bodybugg thing where they told me that nutrition labels are wrong by 40%. That when I think I've been eating 1400 daily average they calculate I've been eating 2000. It pisses me off. I doubt the logic of it all and makes me not want my bugg. And I'm probably too incoherant (spelling for shit to boot) to explain myself clearly. And I know this isn't the BB forum, but there are a few of us with one. So I'll shut up. Tomorrow is weigh in day and I should have lost 2.5 by all the math and I know I won't see that! I'm pmsing I think because everything makes me want to cry. UGH. Now I just need to finish school so I can have a life.

Marchies in Nov. (The Month of The Turkey)

I use a body bugg to log my calories burned and track what I eat. My typical consumption is about 1400 a day. -
Where in the hell are the men? They both can't be busy getting their butters churned.

Hi Eden. I don't know what to say about throwing up with each fill. That's miserable. I'd take that to the main forum and see what all the banded people think. I'm sure you'll get some decent opinions. But welcome to the Marchie thread. Glad to have you! -
Oh Stacy! You have every reason to be pissed and upset with how this is playing out. It will get better. It will. You will see 155. You've done amazingly well. Perhaps you just need to stop working at this for a few weeks. We'll be here waiting for you. Promise. Oh and if you got me in the SS you're not off the hook. I still want my gift.

D I can't remember, how many kids do you have?

I'm feeling really good 8 months out. There are days where I want to eat like I used to for all the wrong reasons and the band pretty much saves me. There are plateaus where I can get discouraged, but they are par for the course. Usually when the scale stops moving I can find other victories like a smaller size or more stamina. Really, this is the best thing I've ever done for myself and I'd encourage anyone interested to do it too. It took me 14 months to get through the insurance difficulties and I'd do it again. Good Luck! -

Dem, jmc made some good points. It's not a race or a compitition. Don't worry about what someone else has done. You can only be concerned with yourself. Make small changes if big ones seem too much. Eat a few less Cookies, drink only calorie free beverages, walk a few steps more. If you can't see a shrink get a notebook and start writing down your thoughts, goals and setbacks. Sometimes getting out helps us get past what's blocking our progress. And most of all keep coming this board and looking around...keep a few toes in the game. Hugs. -
I am cooking for most of my family and misc. people I know who are too far away from family to travel for the holiday. About 10-15 people. Should make for a busy few days, but I'm excited.

Well you gave the teller a story to share for the rest of the day. Always nice to add to someone's day.
