Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters
OH Juli replied to AshevilleEddie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The rating system is like a Kinsey thing. How gay are you? For pity's sake, I don't get it. Being gay is more than how you have sex. The political and social ramifications go a long way too. People think I'm straight if they look at me. So I present as het but talk, socialize and screw as homo???? But using that scale only as a measures what makes you hot and bothered and that's how I read that scale, I'm a freaking 6. And only other gay girls get me there. Looking at straight girls or getting busy with them, they might as well be men. Because my interest is zero. Okay, back to work. -
Oh My GOD, How cute is your hair! You've got to love it! And look at your pretty outfit. NOT hoochie at all! You look fantastic!

Biking weather is too far away. I can't wait! I too wanted to be under 200 for new year, but it's not going to happen unless I get a freaking tapeworm in the next week. D, I'm glad to see you are working out again. I need to add to what I'm doing, because I'm just not burning enough calories. Frinkin' Frack...bitch...ugh.

Marchies in Nov. (The Month of The Turkey)

I get my second fill on Friday. I can't wait. My weight hasn't moved in 3 weeks! Ugh. Happy Monday everyone! -
I was driving...but hanging out on the internet at work these days is a bit of a No-No. So I'm only here quickly. That's my reason for being MIA.

Marchies in Nov. (The Month of The Turkey)
OH Juli replied to Jeni 85's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had a great Thanksgiving. Hope everyone else did as well. Happy Holidays. -
I'm checking in but don't have much to say. I've got a bunch of homework to do today. My weight hasn't moved in 3 weeks. My body bugg says that I eat 2580 calories a day. But there is no way. I'm starting to believe it's a piece of junk. OR there's an issue with having a fucked up matabolism with all this weight loss. Regardless I get a fill on Friday. I don't want to be super tight, but I need to eat way fewer calories. How do people keep it at 800 a day? I think that's what I need to do! Sorry to be crappy. Really, I'm having a good weekend. Hope you all are too. XO

I have to say my wrists have changed dramatically between here and 97 pounds ago.

I had a fantastic day! I cooked like a maniac, had family here, sent away nearly all the food! (note to self, buy more containers in the future). At 6 they were all gone. At 7 my friend had a late Thanksgiving for people tired of family and people with no where to go. An old friend I've not seen in 10 years was there. It was so good to catch up!!! Oh, and these are stylish people...I don't know a better way to describe them. They're not rich but fashion plays a role in their lives. I debated on loafters or my new wedge shoes to go with the jeans and the black turtle neck sweater. I'm so glad I did wedges. When in doubt always do more than less. What a nice day. And tomorrow I see my honey. It's all good!

Lapbandit, That's a great post. I'm going to have to save that one for when I need a shot in the arm. I love this site. I get so much from so many people. Thanks.

I'm not anti-TV....god knows I love it. But with school and life I don't watch it much. No wonder I missed the reference. You all have fun too. Enjoy the new hair and clothing and all the compliments on the weight loss as we see family we haven't seen in a few months. I'm cooking already and having a blast. Rock on.

Title Nine - The Frog Bra I use this bra. I'm a 42D. It's holds me down very well. I have an Enell too but I bought it too small (soon I'll be in it).

Aren't you a hottie mc hottie?! I want to see the hair! The vajayjay comment kills me! I've never heard it called that before... So many names for something so special.

Hey, I have a new stomach-ass low. Today while doing burpees Burpee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia essentially a hyper fucked up way to do pushups. Squat down, extend you body into a pushup, do one, pull your knees under you and jump up like a fool. Repeat 15 times. Anyway the sequence of activities allowed for air to get under the flaccid belly, otherwise know as the "stomach ass", then a forced movement of the belly pushed the air out quickly, so I had the awkward fart noise coming from my body...Sad enough I'm super jellyfied, with the occational slapping sound, but the FART was horrific.

Happy Thanksgiving Family!!! Gobble Gobble -
Oh and in the interest of TMI, I HATE the slapping sound of by flaccid stomach against the top of my thighs. It's horrifying.

I do both...I travel the length of the empty fitness center doing the skip/jump and I stand in one place doing both feet at one time. I'd say I do both feet more than I skip/jump.

I've made a dutch apple, sweet potato and a custard pie. That's to go with the chocolate cake. I'm loving this food fest I get to cook for everyone. I'm having such a good time doing it. I just don't cook like this for myself. Can't imagine why?! XO ya'll

Awe shucks you all are so nice. I could go on and on about the band, and bore you to death, but to boil it down to three things: Expect to frustrated with the process at times. Start exercising now and set goals. I started doing 10 minutes of cardio in October last year. You've got to start somewhere. Do your best to journal your food. Know what you are putting in your mouth. Don't just guess. There you go.

You kill me. And that's Friday when I get to Michigan.
-
I've actually added it to my routine. I shoot for 5 minutes. Of course I stop and catch my breath and drink Water many times during those 5 minutes but it's part of my workout now. I started by only doing 10 jumps too. Holy crap that was hard!
-
Jen, Take some time for yourself and get back to the plan. Get a fill, journal your thoughts, set some attainable goals. Of course you can lose the weight again. And more.

Hi, I don't get out to the main board often. I just hit my regular threads. It's taken me a few days to catch your thread. I feel strongly about this issue. I didn't get my first fill until I was 5 months out because I was losing 10 pounds a month or more. There's a finite amount of fill they can give you, so I opted to get a fill when I needed it, not when it was expected of me. I cried when my surgeon said, let's wait. We get all excited about having fills and counting the Fluid in the band and comparing stats. It's rather silly. The further you get away from your band date, the fewer things there are to compare to others. This is an indvidual journey. I'm scheduled for my second fill in a few weeks. Again, each person is different on what they want from this process and what they are willing to do. I work out like a maniac and want to get enough nutrition to keep my energy up. So I don't stress until I start eating over 1700 calories daily and my weight loss slows to a trickle. Then I'm like let's get a fill. You'll find the measures for yourself. Some people say, "Oh, I can eat an entire sandwich, I must get a fill." Some do it based on the calendar. You do have restriction just by having the device on your stomach. For some it's enough. You'll find out what works for you. XO
