Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters

Penney, You are in bandster hell. You'll see lots of posts on that. No you don't have restriction, well not much, and your tummy isn't swollen from the surgery anymore. You are using words like "about" and "like"...perhaps you should measure your food for a meal or two so you know literally what you are eating. Or you can just relax about it until you get your fill. Sounds like you are hoping on the scale often too. Again, relax...you'll get there. You're fine. -
So BG, are you vegan now? And btw, we are definately going to the waterpark on the 2nd.

Hi Gang. I was in Vegas this past weekend. It started out being a planned LBT thing, but everyone fell through...all but one woman, Paula who lives there. She met me and my SO out and took us around to different places and chatted my ears off! She was so great! If you go to Vegas and you like meeting new people, she is very good people. We are taking my DD to the indoor water park in 2 weeks. Again I'll be hooking up with a different woman I met on LBT who I cycled with last summer. Our daughters are close in age and the park is half way between me and her, so WOOT WOOT. I haven't stepped on a scale so I don't know what kind of damage I've done, but truly my band gives me good restriction unless I actively try to eat around it, which I don't do generally. It's just so hard changing one's point of reference about food. We went to a buffet for our first meal this weekend and I was like whoa, never again. Yeah I didn't eat like I used to, but I ATE!!! The SO wanted to go again for breakfast (She's skinny btw) and I was like all I need is an egg and toast and I'm not buying a buffet to get that! UGH. One day the struggle won't be as hard. I know it won't.

Workinonit I too am a food service chica, what is it that you do? I'm in school right now to get my MBA so I can get away from where to food is served to some other part of the business...WELCOME! Pamela, Alison asked if you two were going to meet us. It would have been a fantastic treat to see you, especially last minute. We did meet a Vegas woman from LBT, Paula, and she was fun. Not queer but a riot and a nice addition to my LBT friend collection! You were the first! Howdy the rest of yas. -
Hi Kids, I'm back from Vegas. Viva and all that good stuff. It was a great time and considering I'm sick with a head cold, yet the fuck again, we had a blast. The bike ride didn't go as well for me as it did Alison. It was 5 miles up, up and up some more. I made it to the top, I walked quite a bit but it was beautiful!!! However the next mile was down, down, down. And now comes the excuses... I was on some bike that fit my legs, my back and arms, but the handle bars were GIANT and the grip for the breaks was a stretch, I could only barely grasp them with my first two fingers. After the first mile of down hill, my hands were numb. And the dude who drove us out there was talking shit about the first hill being cool an easy 30mph, but the second hill he liked to hit 50mph.... So, there I was not feeling well, not realizing the breaks were a struggle and truley just ever so slightly terrified of that 2nd drop after having done the first one...so I chickened out and called the company to come and get me. I sat on a rock in a beautiful spot for 2 hours Saturday morning while Alison went on to have a great ride. Apparently after the second drop it was pretty level. I'm sad and don't even want to confess I was a candy ass, but I have to be honest with you all. But the rest of it was great. Paula who I met here on LBT should have picture posted someplace. I haven't looked because I came here first...But she was fantastic and very fun. If you go to Vegas and you want a local to give you the ins and outs she was amazing and fun. You should look her up. Okay on to read more. JC, Dude, I'm glad you're on the mend.

Okay, I need to start looking around too. But what gives with the apple and the tape measurer??? I don't know about you all but I can't eat apples and I started out looking like one with a head and feet attached. Bad choice of an image. And I'm lucky that's the worst thing I have to worry about I know. I'd never post that any where but here on page 305 of a thread only 10 people read.

You have got to be kidding?! Even at my highest high I needed to be HURTING for sugar to grab one of those nasty, waxy, icky things.... But you know I probably have 15 gallons of premium ice-cream in the freezer at all times so if I need a fix, I'm not going to eat a lil' Debbie. And then there are cookies and cookie dough for the times a girl couldn't wait 13 minutes to bake them. It's sick I tell you.

DEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's fantastic!!!! To have reached your goal is an amazing accomplishment! You have got to be feeling stoked! Congratulations. As for the weekend me and the GF are heading to Vegas tomorrow! -
HP- School gets easier. It's hard at first to fit all the obligations in and wrap your head around what is expected of you. But after a bit you'll find a groove and it will become better. JC- Settle down there, tiger. Your band will be fine, you will be fine. Let it rest, get an unfill if you must, but above all else keep us informed. Sorry, that's got to blow big time. ZZ and B, Who knew people stole that stuff? Mine are lil'debbie snack cakes. I go to the store room and find empty boxes... And ZZ, I'll cool it on the lube talk...Just trying to make the conversation flow. XO

Cruisin' the isles, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

I was surprised that Target, TARGET of all places carries large bottles of Astroglide... I er, uh, just happened to notice.
-
Grease=lubrication....and as I see it there's nothing wrong with that.

Hi LBTers We are going to Vegas January 18-19-20 2008! Here’s the scoop. <O:p You get your own flight. Arrive as early as you’d like and stay as late as you wish. This is our agenda: We are staying at Treasure Island (TI) www.treasureisland.com. You can stay there or the hotel of your choice, but the group has decided to stay there. We don’t have a block of rooms so there’s no need to ask about that. Make your own reservations. We are having a hors d'oeuvre reception with a cash bar at TI on Friday night. Saturday during the day you are on your own. Gamble, shop, sight see, hang out with your new LBT friends, go on a bike ride, there’s plenty to do. Saturday night we are going to see Mystere (Just a note, tickets don’t go on sale for the 1-19-08 until September 19, 2007.) www.treasureisland.com/mystere/mystere.aspx?CMP=KNC-Google-TI_Mystere Sunday we are going to do a Hoover Dam/Ethel M Tour www.lasvegasgrandcanyontour.com/bus/deluxe-hoover-dam-bus-tour.htm <O:p Friday night’s reception needs a head count, so please if you are going to come let me know by way of email or PM here on LBT. Include your guests too. That is going to cost either $20-25 per person. We’ll need to know by December 1st just how many people we are expecting. As for paying, I’m not sure if you’ll pay at the door or if we’ll make arrangements before hand. That’s yet to be determined. Really we need to have a good idea about how many of us will attend so we can make those decisions. <O:p The other tickets you will need to purchase on your own. <O:p Questions? Ask away! <O:p And please, regardless of your expressed interest in the past we are starting with a blank list as of right now, so let me know again if you are going. <O:p Only positive responses are needed.

You might cure me of my "I mention my birthday as often as I can before it happens" syndrome if I'm going to have to contend with that every time. I'm just saying Tax day=Juli's birthday. That's all.
-
You tax doing over achievers kill me. I'll get mine done sometime in March. Oh, if you didn't know my birthday is April 15...
-
BG, I'm so excited. I can have my mentor chica give you the bike buying drill. Or I can call you and tell you what she told me. She's very specific, which I love.... I'm sooooooooooo happy for you. BTW, only 3 days and I'll be biking in Vegas, baby. We decided on the 23 mile self guided tour Saturday morning. Happy happy happy. My other happiness is I ordered shoes from Shoes at Zappos.com - Powered by Service - Our shoe store features dress shoes, casual shoes, and athletic shoes for men and women! and I think I will never buy shoes any other way. OMG, the service, the speed, the styles......
-
HP, School??? Tell us more! I think that is so COOL!!!!! Come in here and causually mention "school is going to keep me busy" and nothing else....you know we want to know. You also know that with B, D and me all in school we can share your experience. Congratulations!
-
Well if we started a new one it would have to be the "bycyling" thread, just to keep the spirit alive. I love idiocity.
-
What do you mean by shake? I jiggle, but I think you mean from muscle exertion. (Sp!) describe. Oh and the pool!!!! We are taking kiddo to an indoor Water park in a few weeks and I know I'll like it just as much as her!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were in NYC I'd join you for some pampering! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. So, how about your feet? You had to lose a shoe size or two...I've been shoe shopping and just spent an hour on Zappos. Just curious. -
BG No pain, no gain. You'll be better for it.
-
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Yucko on the band issues. I hope the unfill gets you feeling better too. Ugh. Look at you with less than 50 to go though. That's fantastic. XO

OH Juli replied to JulieNYC's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Julie, Maybe you exchange the ski trip for something like a spa day where you can indulge and not stress your body. Perhaps that would be a smaller time committment as well. It's good you know your limitations and you have a strategy to deal with them. As always, you're rockin'.
