    Massive dairy food cravings

I've never heard the no cow's milk thing. That's a new one to me.
  2. 1. -28 is reasonable. 2. Tell people to keep their eyes and their opinions to themselves. Or hell, play with them when you see them looking at you and say, "Yeah, you think I'm sexy now, I'm only going to get more hot." 3. People who lose quickly look less healthy in the long run. You don't need to defend your choices to anyone. I mean really what could you say anyway? Not like you're going to go back and get the GB, right? This is your choice and it's their screwed up expectations. What it seems like to me is that they are undereducated about the process.

    Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

You are kidding, right? 27 miles is very boast-able. There should be no feelings of being inadequate. Rock oh there Ms Mac!

krtork, What kind of bike is it??? You'll grow into your bike, you'll see. Probably more quickly than you expect too. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. BTW, I got out for 22 miles today. It was a little chilly, but sunny. I've ridden in colder, for sure.

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

I am excited about all of it. Jeni, who has a thread on here too, had her band done the same month as me. She's home recovering from her surgery. I want so badly to know what I'm going to look like, what I'm going to wear. I'm freaking a little about all the change and the very real reality that I'm going to have to buy new bras and panties and everything ELSE. I'm going on a trip to Vegas the week before and I'm sad and happy about not being able to buy new clothes for it. I refuse to spend money on something that isn't going to fit a few weeks later. But I'm happy that I'm going to change that drastically!!! The solution? Shoes! I bought two new pair of shoes.
  6. Jeni, that's amazing!!!!!!!!!! Rest and recover!!!

Me and Gloria will take you and Big Sexxy on any time. Actually, show up not hungover and you might kick my butt. Might.
  8. Sillypuddy I sent you and PM. But I'll put it out here too. Your SO is just worried for you because she loves you and is scared. Fear is a big deal. I had a conversation with Nurse Niki and her husband before her surgery. He was scared to death about it. But he's on board now. And look her up. She's back in school too. It's so much easier to wrestle all there is out of life when you are working toward your health goals. Happiness and confidence comes so much more easily. Look me up if you want to chat one on one. I'm a gay too, btw, it the rainbowie ticker didn't clue you in.
  9. I was banded in March 07. We are just the Marchies! But that's okay too. Funny that we've got March represented well, huh?

Tammy!!!!!!!!! Hi! You are looking beautiful in your avatar! You've been so missed! I don't know if I'm going to post pics, but I'll certainly be talking about it too much. I'm thinking of Jeni. Hope she's doing well. I'm sure she is!

    Marchies 2yr Bandiversary Month!!!

Let me suggest you don't go to the gym the morning of your surgery. You will need your body's energy to heel from surgery. The night before, by all means, but exercising the morning of sugery is a bit over the top. Or that's my opinion. feel free to ignore me. My feelings won't be hurt.

Falling can be painful. For your ego, and well your shoulder and hip too. Oh, aero bars. I tried to put them on my bike last year, and they don't fit. I have sissy breaks and a woman specific designed bike, so my bars are narrow...I heart my sissy breaks, so no aeros for me.

    Lellow and the Torso Lift

I just got a mammogram done today for a before base line and to make sure the girls are healthy. I so completely understand about the painful paying part. I do mine next week Tuesday. I go shopping this weekend for wedge pillows and toilet risers. You are going to be so happy you did this!!!!!!!!
  16. I say schedule a fill and if you don't need it cancel two days before hand. At least you have it on the books. Also, with losing 100 pounds your inner organs get smaller too so the restriction is less tight on your stomach. You may be looser. Your daughter needs to keep her well intentioned thoughts to herself. As a friend of mine often said, "What I eat you don't poo, so don't worry about what's on my plate." Lastly, you realize that your loose skin has weight to it. So you may not see that goal number without surgery to remove it. Don't give up your dream of that number but be realistic that the skin has mass therefore weight and it will contribute to what you see on the scale, regardless of how little fat you actually have on your body. You're doing so well! Congratulations.

Yeah, I tried a different style and they just didn't work for me. The egg beaters were a struggle. Then I got paranoid. I'm still paranoid so I use a hybrid pedal with a flat side and a clipable side. Let me add that I also had a junky shoe that got stuck on my pedal. I had to take my foot out of the shoe and work with a screw driver to remove the shoe from the pedal. No, I'm not paranoid for no good reason. I have reasons. I'm working on it though.

    Breakfast Ideas

Jachut- Just to be difficult. Rolled oats are the whole oat all flattened. They've been steamed and pressed under rollers. We North Americans call those "oats" for the most part or "old fashioned" oats. They cook on the stove in 5 minutes. You have the instant oats which are found in packet typically and they have been steamed, rolled, cut and processed to death, but personally work in a pinch for me. Just add hot Water or microwave. Steel cut oatmeal is also called Irish Oats and they haven't been steamed nor flattened, just cut. They take 30 minutes to boil and are a 1 cup of oats to 3 cups of water ratio. They are by far the most delicious of all the oats. Or you can boil them the night before then put them in the fridge over night. They will only need 5 minutes in the morning. There are Scottish oats too, since I'm writing a disteration on oatmeal, and I'm not exactly sure how they differ but they do. With all that being said, when you come across Irish or Steel Cut oats buy them and try them. You will be delighted. Oh, and add cream of wheat to my hot breakfast favorites too. Farina it's called in some parts of the world. Juli-former Chef-Foodie.

Jeni, A 360 with a vertical incision, my arms and a revised breast lift, no implants. Mine isn't until April 6th. You'll be well on the road to recovery at that point and can tell me all about yours. You'll be alright. I know you're excited. I'm excited for you too!

    OH Juli's Plastic Surgery

Special K- I am getting my arms done. They need it-badly. I'm having a 360 with a vertical incision too. I had a breast reduction years ago which is to be revised too, but no implants. Frankly I don't what I'm more excited about, my arms, which are buff, if I do say so myself or getting rid of the stomach. There's a lot of skin on the stomach. I'll be at the meeting on Saturday unless it's good cycling weather. Hope you are well.

    New Bandster Needs help!!

I think going to the gym just to walk is fantastic! It will get you inspired to exercise when you are released to do it from your doctor. You'll be comfortable in the gym environment and maybe have a friendly face or two by that time too. All pluses if you ask me. Just don't do anything that pulls or pushes until 6 weeks out.

WYD- Rock on for the -200!!!!!!!!! That's amazing! Yeah, talk to me after you fall over. It will happen at least once. I promise you. If you are a complete clutz like me it will happen more often. I'm hoping to get out on the road this weekend. Woot.

My hands hurt from working out.

Yeah what Jill said, don't white knuckle the weights. Also you can get gloves that help. Also, get things that strengthen your hands like squeeze balls that you can toy with while you watch TV. You can stengthen any piece of your body....do it slowly and no excuses.
