I just took my first Zumba class tonight. It was fun. I'll do it again! You should keep on dancing. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
-
You need to walk before you run. Read up on it so you don't over do it and hurt yourself. Start slowly and you should be fine. I run now, it took a few months of increasing the amount I ran between walking. But yeah jogging will help you lose the weight.

When did you really start losing weight
OH Juli replied to brickgirl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I started losing weight when I got a surgery date, about 6 weeks before my banding. -
Thanks gals. To answer you Gwen, I just started biking last May/June. By Labor Day I did my longest ride which was 56 miles. This year my plan is to be able to ride TOSRV which is two days 100 miles each day. That is in May. We'll see. I know I can do Saturday. Sunday might be too much. But it's my goal. As for my skin, you're not seeing me lift my arms or my chin in profile. I'm glad I photograph well enough for them to be hidden, but there is plastic surgery in my future. Probably not my face by the entire body needs tightened. That's 2009's project.

There was a game yesterday? Thanks ZZ. I can't say that "sexy" is a word I'd use to describe myself...But I'll take it!

Did you tell your Doc?

Not to get all political on anyone, do what feels right. I'm an advocate for being out as much as possible. I have a 6 year old girl who as soon as she could talk would say, "My name is Zoe, I have two moms." There's no point in trying to hide it. But you've got to live your life on your own terms. -
http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/has-anyone-taken-up-bicyling-35343/index319.html#post710898 If you want to see a picture of me and Babygirl1234. We met on LBT and this was the first time we got together since we cycled together last summer with a few other LBTers. I can't believe I'm putting a picture of me with out makeup, wet hair and in a swim suit on the internet. But it's cute, and it's great to have made a real life friend out of an online friend. Things are going well otherwise.

I like the complete lack of makeup, aside from the smudges under the lower lashes.

Central Ohio Get Together - Feb 9, 2008

I have a few 24s that are hemmed for my shortness. If anyone is interested I'll bring them. -
September is a bit far out to plan...but certainly I'll keep it in mind. I say that but we are planning the August MuddyBuddy thing. Check out the Columbus thread and tell me if you'll be able to make it. I'll be there. Hopefully with out Zoe, but maybe with her. In that case it will be a quick visit for me. I'm trying to get a sitter.

Stacy, Hope you don't mind. Look two chicas, minus 200 pounds together! Showin' some skin no less. We could be an ad for Target swimwear. Or not....
-
Target came through for me! I found a suit that was seperates. I looked pretty good in them if I do say so myself.

Hi Tom, I'm Juli from Columbus. Glad you found the thread! I hope you beat his time frame as well. -
Yo my people. We had a fantastic time with BG and her kiddos. Jared, her little boy is so cute makes me want to have another one! Buffets are evil though. Now I have to rebreak my carb addiction. Good thing Korrine kept both of us from getting more food. I was jonesing for some icing as well. heehee I like beign called tiny, but you are the one needing a smaller swim suit. BG is looking ittybitty! C-When is the HHH? BG and I were talking about doing a ride together and Findlay is smack dab in the middle of where we live. BTW, if you're up for a 100 mile drive a bunch of LBT Columbus chicas are getting together next week Saturday at Polaris Mall. If you don't know it, it's north of 270 on 71. Check out the Columbus thread for more details. One woman is like you, waiting for surgery....love to meet ya. B-Give me chance to search the internet for a recipe similar to the ones I use so I don't have to type them into the computer. Glad you got some brisket down. I will majic bullet meat with some warm broth when I really can't chew it well enough. Meatloaf Soup looks like warm vomit, but it tastes better than it. I'm staying out the upright/recumbant bike discussion. All I'll add is you got to ride something, do something if you want to really lose the weight. If you'll actually get your butt on a recumbant and not an upright, then it looks like a pretty easy answer. Hi HP. Cute pic! Congrats on the weight loss. I'll be posting a pic of me and BG shortly.

BG We're leaving now. Remember I'm getting a wrist band for one of you two. So if you get there before me only buy one. See ya soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f90/marchies-february-51251/#post709678 I moved us to a February thread!

I typed ass...damn...I mean shoot!
-
BG-I hate when they pee in the bed. Uck. Good to know the interveiw went well. I'll keep my fingers crossed until we know for sure. It will be hard to type but worth it. I heart target too. I bought a suit there yesterday too. tankini thingy. Go Target! B-Meat is a pain in the ass. I have to take it slowly, but I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't eat it. Might I suggest make a meatloaf with lots of milk soaked bread as the binder. It makes it really moist and soft...I'll find a recipe if you're interested. It might have to wait for the unfil but it's my first meat after fills. The GF is talking about getting a position in Chicago soon. She's from there and her mother is aging. She wants to live part time with her and commute home to Columbus on the weekends with me. That would be so sweet. I like the idea of going to Chicago frequently myself. It's my favorite city! And it has me seeing her much more frequently. But it is just in the beginning stages... Dude, you move to Chicago, I'll see you in April. I think that's my next trip there. C- Glad to see you popping in here. HP and D, Howdy chicas. Good to see you D. You look amazing in your pic. ZZ, JC, and TX Hello!

I traveled last in August 6 months after being banded. That was the first time I didn't have to use an extender. Whew, what a relief. I know what you mean. My driver's lisence says 250. Never have I weighed less than the number on my lisence. Even my first lisence I said I was 150 when I was 170. I've always lied. No, I was well over 300 when I told them 250! I love the Band!

He is B, for Brandon. Deanna is D. Simple. You're offically T unless you want to release your real first name and we'll C you. As for goal setting that's a favorite thing of mine to do...then I like to create insane plans with objectives and time lines to get them accomplished. It's really a little OCD, but I'm on target with school and weight loss so I dare anyone to call me a freak. Okay call me a freak but I dare anyone to tell me I won't meet my goals, becuase I will. The best thing I can tell you is be realistic about what you can do. I started walking 15 minutes in October 06. It's taken a long time but I can run 40 minutes now. That happens when you slowing but consistently challenge yourself. But you've been an exerciser, so you know the drill. The band is fantastic because it doesn't allow you to stray too far from your goals. XO

Anyone ever afraid people will treat you different when you're not overweight?
OH Juli replied to vessa's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
JJ, great post. I'm inspired by you. -
LJM POKE poke! How are you feeling? Are you able to exercise? I ran yesterday, 3 miles in 39 minutes! Today I was at the gym at 6am to workout with friends. I did a cross fit cardio and circut, working hamstrings, triceps, abs and glutes. w00t w00t.
-
Chicago is my kind of town. I'm there every few months and in August BG and I are doing the Muddy Buddy in there.
-
Go puke, you've got a band, call it a PB. Not helpful I know. You'll be fine, they'll be happy to have you. Deep breaths, big smiles, confidence...you're golden girl.
-
Yippy! I'll be happy to try anything! I've never been able to take anyone's hand me downs since I was a little kid. I'm excited at the prospect, even if they don't work. Giggle. How are the jitters for the interview? You feeling good? Are you leaving from work or going home to clean up and change? Having a good hair day?
