BP, You have offically been dubbed BP, cool bike. Everyone get's a one or two letter nickname, because we like to keep it short and simple. We have a B=Brandon and we have BG=Stacy, or Babygirl. If you'd rather something else speak up or it will stick. :rolleyes2:
-
Hi BuffetPhan, Have we met? So cool you are into cycling! Where are you at with those kind of temperatures? Look at you nearly 50% down! That's amazing! Tell us all about you! And sorry if you have and I forgot or missed it, which wouldn't be surprising.
-
BG, We might need to use the BIMBO jersey for the muddy buddy! I love it. ZZ, Where'd you find that?
-
Sending you good JUJU Hippiegirl!
-
I love the jerseys! I'm just now being able to squeez into XLs!!! Very cute. C, A half cup of food all squished up with little liquid actually isn't that very little. Who the hell am I kidding?! It's not very much at all. I actually eat closer to a cup of food, but really it's not that bad. I use little kid plates, or little dishes to eat out of, it just feels better than a little pile on a huge plate, or worse a regular serving on a plate...because then I still TRY to eat more than I should. Still my biggests problem is taking bights of things like sandwiches or burritos. Using a fork keeps me honest with bight size. I miss overly filling my mouth with food...

Rock on BYCYLING!!! $120 is too much for a 20 year old bike. You can call your LBS and ask them their opinions too. There may not be a Kelley's Blue Book out there but they have a clue. I love all the bike pics! I got mine today, but we are waiting on the aerobars. I put $50 dollar tires on my baby too. Yeah each. If I throw more money at my bike I will ride better, right? I hope everyone is well! HP, it was good to see you pop in.

It's the month of love and our 11th month since being banded. Let's keep encouraging each other to our anniversaries and beyond! Juli

I thought that was you on that "Amatures" web site I happened across.
-
BG I'm loving all the pics!

ZZ, We aren't that far ahead of you! Well, I'm speaking for BG, HP, D and myself. (TX, B, and C have been riding for a while). We started down the road biking road just last summer. This will be our first full season and that's why we are running around all geeked out on biking junk! B word on the street is that you might not CRASH but you'll definatly fall over. I can see that happening to me. And isn't it dorking that they are clipless when in deed the clip into the pedal? or maybe it's that they click into them? And I can negotiate the one's on the GF's spinner bike, but I'm stationary. I fear for when I get on the road. And the ones I bought are different from those (and yours- you have the same kind.) It took me forever to figure out how to use toeclips. Ugh. Come on SPRING!!! G

My shoe, since we are sharing....If you recall my bike is silver and pale blue. So it matches just too well.

The WOW group is out today, at 1, but I'm not there. I'm hoping to pick up my bike on Wednesday and go for a ride of Thursday. I love your bike!!! That's funny about falling over. I know I'll be on the ground a few times myself. The season is upon us!!!!

BIG SEXY is big and sexy! I love the color! And yes you need to get a new helmet! The price is great! What kind of clipless pedal do you have? I can't wait to ride with you!!! When are you coming to Columbus?! Okay, okay....Friday the GF and I hit the LBS sale here in MI. She bought a fancy new bike, but more importantly I got my clipless shoes 50% off and some new clothes, shorts, hoodie, shirt... Now I need to get a new bike rack for my car, mine is a piece of crap. Hey BG what do you use? Considering you dropped ODB on the highway are you looking for something different? Can I spend more of you money???
-
I've never seen OCB before but I KNEW exactly what you meant! OMG.

Central Ohio Get Together - March 8, 2008
OH Juli replied to HeatherA's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'll be there. I might have the 6 year old with me which may shorten my visit, but I'll certainly show up. -
Hunter Good to hear you are well. Holler if you need us!
-
Janine You have my sympanthies, you are understandably devistated. Not that you want to count your blessings, but sweetie you have your health and your stomach is going to recover, which is so much more important than what size you are. And there's nothing saying that you can't continue to lose from here forward. You have us to come to. Good luck. I'm so sorry. J

Golly BG, It's not like you don't have enough to keep you busy. How many jobs are you working? How young are your children? I couldn't be in school if I actually had to work hard 40 hours a week and didn't share my kid with my ex. But hypothetically, if you did go back to school what would you do? W- BG is the vegetarian, ZZ too I think. I'll join you for that Arby's sans bun.
-
W I didn't read it as you were loaded. I know you didn't say this but what I read was, "Women worry about spending money on themselves and I'm a man and I don't." But I come at stuff with a little bias. No worries.
-
BG I love that you are not a credit card user. That's a challenge in today's time. W, Different people have different income levels. Sometimes it's not about panicking because of spending money on ones self, but about paying the bills verse buying a luxury item. There was a point in my life, about 5 years ago I was working 3 jobs and still trying to decide which bill not to pay. I'm happy my life is much better now. Whew.

I've just re-read your post, so let me answer your questions: What to do about acid at night? Don't eat late, don't eat acidic foods, avoid caffiene. Drink herb tea and Water after dinner to flush the pouch. See if that helps. As for gas: Can you do a day or two of liquids and see how you feel? Go back to the beginning and be mindful of what you add. You may be reacting to something you eat. Dairy intolerance might be the problem, even if you weren't before banding you might be now. HTH.

TammyJ You know we are here for all the Marchies, please don't apologize for not stopping in more often. If you've not gotten a fill recently and you're that uncomfortable it's time to see your doc and your band under flouro. Well unless you've drastically changed your diet, but that still seems amiss. There's probably an issue. I'd get it checked out ASAP. You might just be irritated or it could be serious, but please don't let acid reflux go unchecked. It's a sign something isn't right. Hugs!!! J
-
Well, if that's the issue, get the hell over it. How much money does DH spend on hisself? (hehehe, bad grammar) And it's all about taking the next step to getting to your goals. And it's not like you're investing money with out knowing you are passionate about biking. You proved last year this is a true interest, not a passing phase. And go as cheap as you can, and shop for bargains, or put notices out there that you are looking for a used bike. But you need to know what works for you before you buy sales or used, so go smell the rubber in the bike stores and touch the bikes. Learn the different level of parts etc. You are worth spending on a yourself. And how the hell are you going to be able to deal with a sugar daddy buying you stuff if you can't wrap your mind around buying yourself what you want?
