What day is this happening??? Did I miss that? I'm scheduling my life for the fall and winter right now and want to see if going fits. Let me know. Juli

That's me in the blue at the end of 110 miles on my bike. The woman in yellow is my cycling mentor/friend and the one in the middle is painted on the wall! How cute is that? I was on my bike for 7 hours and 15 minutes total riding time yesterday. I'm certainly beat today and have no real desire to ride for next few weeks, I'm sure. But I my sense of gratitude is emense. I feel very lucky to be given the opportunity to get my body back, to trust it to do things that I never imagined before. I used to hate carrying laundry up the stairs...or walking around the mall, because it was tiring. Thanks for all your well wishes. I love my Marchies thread!

I received my surgery date!!!!
OH Juli replied to st4r69's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was banded March 8, 2007. It's been a little over 14 months. PM me if you want to chat more. Congrats on the date too. -
I did it, I did it!!!!!!!!!!! This is a mural at the end of the ride. That's me in all my chubby glory, and my pal Joanna on the other side of the painted cyclist. My odometer said 110 miles by the time we got done...It was an amazing ride. I made it up all the hills on my pedals too. No walking. I'll do it again, I'm sure. WOOT WOOT

I'd go and I'd probably drag a few people from this area with me.

Where in Ohio? I'm in Columbus. Congratulations! -
It's official I'm on SPRING BREAK!!! I've just submitted my last two papers for my marketing class. I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 18 weeks and no breaks makes for a grouchy Juli. I'm 14.5 months from being done with school. Yes, I'm counting the days!!! And then I get to ride tomorrow............YEEEEEEEEEhawwwwwww I'm finding typing limiting to my expressiveness. I've been dancing around work with my butt out and grinning.... Enough about me, I hope you girls, three of you- TX, D and ZZ and the fella, B, get your banding stuff to a place that makes you feel better/fantastic. Looks like you all have plans and are on the up swing...ZZ be careful. I don't know how late you eat, but when I'm super tight there's no eating after 6pm so I can sleep on an empty stomach. Otherwise I get that acidic burning too. :0)

Okay, I'm stoked beyond words about tomorrow's century ride. We are getting everything tonight, our packet, shirts etc. Tomorrow is supposed to have beautful weather!!!! Also I'm nearly done with my marketing class then I get next week off from school. Spring break baby! TGIF!

First Consultation & Overwhelmed
OH Juli replied to SamieTeacher's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Another thing...After I whined and kicked and cried about having to wait all that time, and I did do all of the above, I thought, "How can I use this time productively?" My answer was to start seeing a therapist about my food issues. She's been an amazing part of this journey. You might consdier ways to make the best use of this time as well, I mean it's still a life and there it doesn't start with surgery or at goal or at any time other than when we are born, so be positive and think about what steps you can take to make the transition to banded life as smooth as possible. Keep us posted! -
Lilnora, Where are you getting banded?

First Consultation & Overwhelmed
OH Juli replied to SamieTeacher's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Samie You'll find that your situation is similar to many of us on here. It's exactly like mine. The 5 years, plus 6 mos, sleep studies, psych evals...you'll get it done. As for the being followed for a story that sounds cool. But yeah, sounds like you're going to be a living ad for the practice, I'd want some money. Don't stress, you'll it done... -
Hi. Like I said from the cycling thread that I wanted to know more about your situation...Hope you write more. Juli
-
Hi Panda! Cycling is great isn't it? What's your situation? I'm looking at your dates and so forth and looks like you've had some trials. I'm going over to your blog....

Central Ohio Get Together - May 10 2008
OH Juli replied to HeatherA's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks, Thinner! I'm pretty stoked for the ride. Niki, let's get together regardless. We can have lunch or something. Which is really funny two LBTers together. REALLY, it's a riot, because NO one understands like a fellow bandster. I can't make the meeting but I want to touch base with other people too. -
BG and I swap about 4 to 10 emails daily on our work accounts. shhhhh don't tell our supervisors. I'm all down for elder porn, I mean if it gets you where you need to go. You know the actors are of age, unquestioned.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters
OH Juli replied to AshevilleEddie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Mary The hardest part seems to be whatever I have to do at the moment. Like waiting was so hard while I was doing it. But in hind sight time passed and I got the band. Recovering from the surger was tough... Right now, I'm struggling with keeping my mojo running. It's such a long process, losing weight, it's hard to keep it fresh, and I don't know that keeping it fresh is the right way of thinking about it. Because if that's my expectation, it's just not going to happen...so I'm trying to process what I should be thinking, feeling, doing a year out and still nearly a year from goal.... Thanks for the props though. The band is amazing and so very helpful. And even while I sit here pondering my navel and the band, it keeps me from gaining. You say you are 3 months out. You have a date? -
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD You are nearly at 100 pounds! OMG! And boo about the fill, but yeah everything is looking good. Behaving is hard to do.
-
Yeah, I don't think we've talked porn on here. No time like the present, eh? It's a good thing a moderator is one of own, we'd kicked off LBT in a minute. BG, I'm not @ work til 11.
-
Gwen, Good to know you found out the culprit to your issues. Sorry though that you have to give up hot food. Well maybe just eat it every now and then. You must like it HOT, omg! I'm going in for fill June 2. The next available appt. my doctor had. Isn't that crazy, nearly a month! It will be my 4th fill. I need it though. I went for Mexican food and ate nearly my entire big ol plate of tamales and enchiladas. I had a few chips while waiting too. Now that's tooooooooooo much food for anyone, let alone a lap banded person!

OH Juli replied to AshevilleEddie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm here too. Just living life and moving along.... I've got nothing particularly "gay" to chat about. I'm certainly interested in the progress of my fellow LBGT folks, but we are particularly quiet. Herumph! -
Good porn is an oxymoron...Like jumbo shrimp
-
HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No! Damn Kids. I completely understand. We'll miss you on the ride though. Well Chica, find us a ride closer to home and lets see if we can make that happen in July or Aug??? B, You do miss all the fun. hehehe

Custom Cycling Jerseys by Atac Sportswear is a cool sight.
-
What's funny is that we tried to have them change it last summer and we were ignored. But now I so identify with bycyling. Custom sublimated cycling jerseys are pricy, but I'd buy one, when I get to goal. Sublimated is where the pattern is dyed into the cloth, like most jerseys not just silk screened onto it. I looked into them for the WOW group last fall.
-
Carol our thread is bycyling. Not B I C Y C L I N G as it should be because the initial poster was a goon. Anyway, try saying it. By Sigh Ling or BIC-why-ling? Is that what you are missing. I was just rambling Or was it the whole V jay, jay conversation....?
