Annie I'm with you about feeling guilty on the other threads. Aint that some shit? We should be proud...but yeah, if go on there and talk about how I'm losing or working out or whatever I feel like a braggard. But I know exercise it the difference for the weight loss journey. I also KNOW that we will be the on the positive side of the bell curve with at least one if not two diviations from the middle....stats was too long ago...but you know what I mean. We're kicking this fat's ass! Glad you're motivated! I get more support from the 5 or 6 regulars on here than I do the rest of LBT! Peace!

I use a clock and say it's not time to eat...or hold off until another hour from now, depending on the time. I also look at my calories for the day and say it's 2 pm I should be at about 600 calories by now. If it's lower than that I eat. If not I try to hold off. I don't always win.... Aside from that stitching your lips together and taping your hands to the chair, I'm out of ideas!!!!!!!!!!!! Head Hunger is so hard to deal with. I'm interested to see what other people offer up.

D. I'd go for the 2xl. they'll still be wearable until you get super tiny. I was thinking the same thing about Annie...is MIA.

The only down side to a new seat is the cost! $50! for a moderately priced one. Yes and no about a new one. There are better seats in the world, but all of them are going to take some getting used to. There's just not a seat out there that will feel like angles kissing your tender parts. If a seat still feels HORRIBLE after the 3rd or 4th ride (in a short amount of time like a week or 10 days) then get a new seat. If you've only ridden it once it might be too soon to tell. Off to the gym for my strength training! J.

Okay Hoosier you are now HP. But what's your real name??? We should talk more. We are near the same age and I'm about 3 months ahead of you in this game. I was banded in March. Our stats are similar, but you must be tall, for a BMI of 27 at 180 pounds. I'm a shorty. 5'2" Look at all you've lost already! And seeing that you are just 7 weeks out from banding and have been riding is AMAZING!!!!!!!! I was a good two months out before I sarted. You aren't going to make a fool of anyone! Those fools will be eating your dust! Chin up! J.

BG, I'll keep you at BG, but you know but it's odd thinking of a person in contant terms like Babygirl...I call my daughter that at times...and she's like, "I'm not a baby, I'm a big girl." I can see me yelling for you at the ACC, "Babygirl, slow down!" hahahaha
-
That's what I do. Working 9-5 eh? Hehe...me too.
-
You can just J me. My peoples call me "J." I'll pass on OJ-too simpsony. Yes, my mother who gave me Julianna calls me J....
-
Baby Girl, what's your name? Are you going to camp, or drive in that day? JC if you go, will you drive up from FL? How else would you get your bike there? Hoosier- What about you?
-
Dudes, JC and BG if you are really doing that ride I might just have to too. I'm really on the fence about making money or riding. What a problem to have. I would have never thought it possible before...

Hoosier Exercising and not losing is so FRUSTRATING. It will come off soon. Like Plop, little balls of fat will be falling off you. I think when we begin to exercise our bodies hold on to fluid...but then all of a sudden BAM it lets it go. As for a bigger seat or a gel seat I did that too when I first got on a bike a few years ago. I think it does make a different. For the road bike I got a new gellier seat with a cut out in the middle for the girl parts. It's weird but feels better than the seat that came with the bike. Ohhhhhh, and I did do my twenty miles last night on my own. I'm feeling back to normal. (I did strength training during my lunch hour too. JC, you're the surpreme nut, but I'm trying to be like you!) I'll be going out with the group tonight for something like 23-26 not sure. Saturday the GF is going to be here and we are shooting for 40! Love yous guys.

Carol 3.2 lost is 3.2 you'll never see again! I know you wanted to see more. You'll be dropping balls of fat behind you soon, don't worry! As for carbs I don't really notice how many I eat so I'll check. Looks like I eat about 100-120 grams of carbs a day. I eat about the same in Protein and 50 grams of fat on average. I just watch my calories and protein. I shoot fewer than 1400 calories and 80+ grams of protein a day. Look at yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, and eggs if chewing on meat doesn't work well for you. Keep us posted.

BG We going to register this weekend. I just realized that's a weekend where I can work overtime though. That's a tough call. Money in my pocket or a great weekend riding and enjoying life. Money is tight... I'll let you know for sure soon though. J

The first time I gulped and went "holy crap!" pretty much kept me from doing it again. I just keep liquids away from my plate at meal time. As for inbetween times, when I think about putting something in my mouth, I go for Water or decaf iced tea before I eat anything. Keeps my hydrated and I typically don't want to eat.

Wooo HOOOOOOOOO! That's a great accomplishment! Keep it UP and report back.

Terry Body Bugg is a super FANCY tool that does all kinds of things, plus heart rate monitoring. You can get a decent HRM for around $50. Look at the machines at your gym, if they say "Polar" equipped that means they are able to read your monitor. You wear the monitor around your chest and typically have a receiver type wrist watch thingy. But with the machines they can receive your signal... That was awkwardly put... But also, a cross trainer is going to work you harder than a bike. More muscles, bigger movements, I think...I'm no expert.

Deanna, you poor thing! I'm so sorry you're hurting. Our bodies will tell us when it's time to slow down. Maybe yours is telling you to rest a day or two. BG and Hoosier-You all can camp...my ass is going to be sleeping in a bed in a hotel. We'll meet you at breakfast time in the firehouse. You decide in the morning how far you'll ride. So don't fret. But you do need to register before hand. Swaaaaweet.

Jmcambra Me too. I've not exercised since Thursday. Time to get sweaty again. Glad you had a nice weekend though.

The women who are getting this together are meeting in the chat room tomorrow night at 8pm EST. If you want to help or voice an opinion stop on in. It's going to happen! Can't wait to meet some fellow LBTers.

WHEW You know, going to school full time and working full time sometimes is the pits!!!!!!!! I've spent so many HOURS and HOURS on homework this past week I just wanted to shoot someone. At one point I just looked at my computer and cried. I called a friend and said, "How can I be a CEO if homework makes me cry?" I was getting sick, come to find out. So yeah, on top of my heaviest week of deliverables, the don't want to call it homework, I got a stomach -coming out of both ends- virus. Thanks to my little girl. At anyrate it's all due two and a half hours from now and I just finished. I need a drink.

I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!! My WOW group went out today too. The GF did 32 miles! Everyone is riding but not MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I've spent the morning with my daughter and a neighbor's 9 y/o girl who just bicker constently. Now it's my turn to whineeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I did get in the pool for a good hour and a half, so I'm not a complete slug, but I wanna ride toooooooooooo. Deanna- I think you need to take a coffee can and decorate it with $$$ and gas and put in on your boat like a tip jar. Maybe then people would get a hint...Can I come? I'll put $20 bucks toward gas! I love tubing!!!

An hour of rest, you are insane! LOL As for looking at average rates of speed, don't knock yourselves out. What you want to increase is time in the seat. The speed will come...that is if you are looking to cover long distances. FYI, there are A, B, C, D riders. D's are less than 10-11 mph. C's are 12-15, B's are 16-18, A's are 19-21+...getting into racing speeds. Scooting out of the D range to the C range is a good goal. You'll stay in the C area for a while. After that push for the B range. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I feel 100% better today. Still not biking until tomorrow. I've not taken a full 3 days off from exercise since surgery. Feels kind of strange. But I'll be back to it tomorrow. Strength training at lunch time and 20 miles on the bike after work. Promise.

As far as it feeling different...what I noticed...is that pre band I would have thrown up sooner. Last night I got out of bed over the course of the night a few times thinking this is it...but nothing. Finally at 3 or 4 am I jumped up and it flew out of my body. But it was everything. In the past it would take a few episodes to get to the bottom of my stomach. Was that too graphic? I didn't go into the back end...there were issues there too....how pathetic am I? And yeah, I saw 241 for a hot minute but I'm playing with a few pounds. Maybe last night's trouble will help me make 241 solid. I think you need to rest one day a week regardless of what exercise you do. I don't have shit to back that up, but I notice I do better with a rest day and it keeps me from burning out.
