Terri, thank you so much! Pitch the shopping, I wasn't game but the TA pushed for it! I love the idea of a cocktail/dinner thing the first night. I actually like MLK weekend better too, for the paid day off on Monday. The only Cirque de Soleil concern I have about seating. Are they in a real theater? When they came to my town, I saw them under the big top and they had these itty bitty wooden chairs. I wasn't itty bitty at the time and it was horrible. But if they are in a regular theater that shouldn't be an issue. In my opinion, $95 ticket is fine... I've never been to Vegas, I'm just a "let's get it done" kind of person, so I took the lead. I will defer to your expertise and experience. Go girl!

Cool, glad to see the new thread...Thanks for doing it, jmcambra!

YES, I feel bad asking, but we are kind of at an empass. If you don't mind... We set Feb 1-3 as the weekend. But we could look at MLK weekend so some people could have an extra day to travel with out missing work. That's January 18-20. We were looking at doing one or two shows, a trip to Hoover Dam and maybe some outlet shopping. The planners were going to pick the show...Vegas Reveiw, Majic, Wayne Newton??? So many opinions could be considered. The biggest issue is to have a service book the hotel, get tickes and handle money. Does that help???

Awe shucks! Thanks dezbus. Can I tell you it seems like a year away from now, I've got so much to do between now and Saturday. So what do I do? Mess around and waste time on the computer!!!! HA! -
Doesn't that suck! Good problem to have! Check out your local Bike Shop, if there's a big one like Performance Bikes, you might be able to get shorts there and send back the ones you ordered. I like your new bike ticker! I need to set some exercise goals. JC what are yours? I'll try to shoot for a tenth of yours! Ha!

Morning All. JC-is your liquid diet straight espresso? You're killing me. BG-Sounds like your family is fantastic. I love the kiddies and it's amazing how they really do change our behavior. I don't think I'd be in school right now if it weren't for mine. She inspires me to do great things...like lose weight! I want to play with her now and be around to see her grow old.... D-I'm coming from a place of love, don't become that santamonious used to be person...You know what I'm talking about. Ex smokers who hate all smokers. I think there's a line between overindulgence and celebrating. And certainly someone needs to set a reasonable example about how to deal with food. So, if you're not going to go out for her birthday what are you going to do? Really, I agree a birthday is a time to tell someone that you love the fact that they were born and the fact that they are there enrich your life...it's about appreciating the person. With that said, I'm glad you're in my life, eventhough it's distant and computer based, you have fantastic impact on me for which I'm happy. If I could I'd thank your mom for having you! Happy birthday! Okay, about going out to restaurants....hasn't that changed! I used to hit the half priced appetizers and beer from Applebees REGULARLY! Chinese Buffet here I come! The more I could eat and the cheaper it was the happier I was. I had my eating pals too! We talk on the phone now, because they consider me no fun! But whatever.... Now, I try to limit going out to once or twice a month and the new rules are there needs to be a chef in the kitchen and a good wine list! I typically order an appetizer, salad, and a glass of wine which might cost $30 for the meal but I'm still spending less than I used to and the food is so much better tasting!!! I've called up old friends who are more inclined to eat that way too so there's a benefit, touching base with people I missed! I'm avoiding do real work at this point........
-
What the hell.....cheater thing?! people kill me. Okay, people clebrate with food because of the things humans do to stay alive or to perpetuate the human race we can eat. We sleep alone, we make babies with only one other person, but we eat together. You've got a lot of history to fight to get your family to buy the no going out for the Bdays. Good luck with that.
-
Terri we thought we could do 20 rooms...that's 40 people, and some folks will be bringing SO's, like me. Terri do you have it in you to do the leg work for this? There are other people who have offered to help. Thanks,

Deanna Happy freaking birthday!!!!!!!!!!!! BABYGIRL YOU'RE HOME. And I'm scared as hell of you now...that's a temper. Why didn't I know you had kids? How old are they? I love biker badass for JC. I'm a bit tired..........big fast ride tonight. Oi..
-
Hey, I'm two for two. I went into the gym and kicked some ass today. I did the elyptical for 30 hard core minutes and then I 30 minutes of weights. Bicepts, tris, shoulders, and abs... I'm getting geared up to go bike tonight too. JC I'm doing my best to fill your shoes. And BTW, I just got the hahaha about having a pissing contest with someone on liquids only...I'm a bit slow. Chow Bellas.

I just dropped Band Chick a note. Hopefully we'll get this going. It shouldn't be that difficult for someone to take our money and create for us a good time. Herumph.

JC and his goat are pretty funny. Heaven help us if he does hook up with someone and we meet her. It would be like, "Oh, you must be the goat!" Deanna- I'm glad to hear about the new tires. The saddle will be a big help too. Okay, now that you said you have a comfort bike I see a real road bike in your future. Maybe next year? I'm going out tonight for the regular 25 Tuesday ride. There are two 3 mile additions and I'm hoping to pick up one of those because I won't be on the bike again until after vacation. Well maybe Friday I'll do the local trail...and on vacation we are renting bikes, but I'm worried about the amount of miles we'll be able to cover. There's a 50 mile trail we plan on doing all of over the course of a day. I'd be fearful if I were on my own bike because those are some serious miles, but being on a rental has me scared to death! Oi, I just had a chubby girl here at work come to me about weight loss advice. I love being a resource and I wish someone had told me when I only weight 50+ over regular..maybe they did and I didn't hear it...but she took up a piece of my time. But she was receptive. Have you all told coworkers about your surgery? EVERYONE here knows. I had one woman waste an hour of my time talking about getting a lapband asking if she had to really exercise and work on the mental aspects of why she overeats???? FFS, (For eff's sake) I could easily over eat and sit on my ass, and I'd not have lost but a few pounds. Anyway, Happy Tuesday people.

Hey Tia I know I had UHC when I had a reduction 5 years ago and they were great. Your surgeon will check with them or you can call and see if it's covered...what kind of info they need for predetermination.... Sounds like you have ample to lose and you talk about back pain. Shouldn't be a problem if it's covered. You might want to go smaller than you think...after surgery I weigh 250, and I was a c cup. I gained weight to over 300 pounds and the girls got bigger (not nearly as big) but now I weigh about 240 and I'm a full D. The only real, I'm serious, advice is know where the surgeon is going to put your nipples. They tend to place them higher than what is natural. So now, plunging bras have my nips nearly popping out and bras with seams have my nipples off center. I tell this to everyone! Tell us how the consult goes.

jmcambra! You go girl! A five week plateau would have me pulling my hair out! And considering how thin it's gotten that's not a good thing! I'm still in the midst of a plateau, it's been 3 weeks so far. But I'm trying to pull out all the stops to get off of it. You know I'll keep everyone posted! LOL. I share! Since we are talking about visuals for the amount of weight we've lost, I have lost more than what my child weighs. Pretty much just before surgery I quit carrying her because I wasn't allowed and she is a big girl. (Soon to be 6) And she's heavy! But yeah to see a walking, talking representitive of the weight I've lost is freaky. Soon I'll be down a Nicole Ritchie. What, like in 10 pounds? LOL!

Debbie, I've never been in a kayak before! It sounds like a fun time! I'm amazed at all the organized rides out there if you go looking for them! Sunday we did a "Mustard" ride to celebrate the end of the Tour de France. It was only 8 miles, but each person was given a loaf of french bread to carry up and back. Those who returned with a full unbroken loaf were entered into a drawing! My daughter started eating the bread as soon as it was given to her. We rode the four miles down the path with it in her shirt. At the 4 mile mark we were at Antrum Lake, so she fed her bread to the ducks!!!! Needless to say there weren't any prizes for us!!! Fun, fun, fun! I hear Mt. Carmel has a good program. Let us know about your fill!

Denise and anyone else actually, I noticed your blog, nice! I've blogged off and on for many years now. Here's my wls one...if you're interested. Lap Band Aid

JC I'm going to leave you and your liquid diet alone. And your need for a babysitter. I don't know what kind of sick role playing you're into...so long as it's between you and three other consenting adults....

Howdy Marchies! I've got a challenging week coming up, but I've recommitted to getting to the gym and strength training. I did it today and whew. You know they say no one regrets working out once they are finished, and I have to agree. It certainly beats kicking myself for not doing it all day long. It's my final week of the double, excellorated classes. And when I'm finished on Saturday I fly to Cape Cod for a week's vacation. WHEW. Hope this finds everyone happy and well. Congrats GRANDMOMLAMBERT.

Pamela We are flying into Portsmouth NH Saturday morning, renting a car and getting to our room around 1pm. I'm looking forward to taking some time and reading a couple of good books, relaxing, walking, cycling, have a few drinks and of course meeting you guys over coffee!!!!!!! I can't wait to get out town!!!! -
JC- Dude, you're killing me. You need three women?! It's been my experience that if you need more than one woman the ones you have aren't worth keeping. I could meet your pace and leave you panting. I'm sure there's a single straight version of me out there just waiting to meet you. .

Maybe a female warewolf...if of course body hair isn't a turn off.

Deanna Holding your tongue was probably the nicest thing you could have done. I would have wanted to smack the lip gloss off her lips! Now DD knows not to drag that brat along, huh? You know the bike dude might have a good idea about the skinnier tires. I have 25's which are about the fattest road tires. I don't know what he'd give you, but it's worth considering. I can say, if you do anything bumpy, you feel every pebble on the road bike. That's cool he's willing to let you test ride one for a good hour. I took my DD out on my old bike with her tag along last night. I NEVER want to ride that bike again...but I don't want to stick her tag along on my lovely new bike! She's going to have to get her own damn bike! But at one point she put her head down on the handle bars and was like, "I'm sooooooooooooo tired!" I thought, I'm pulling your ass! But I can see her on her own bike just hopping off in the middle of the path and causing people to pile up! Missed you D.

JC thinks he still in college. JC- you need a woman.
