Kyethra First of all you kill me with all of the "back in the days". Girl you are 24. There can't be too many of them! But more seriously try Kohls or some other department store not Lord and Taylor. You'll certainly find good, better than Lane Bryant, bras there. Look for brands like Vanity Fair and Warner...Try many different styles and a range of sizes. I find the bra fitting guides don't work on larger sized women...so go to a happy zen place and know you'll have more misses than hits with the bras, but you'll find some. Also, check out the misses sizes there...again, brands like Lee, Gloria Vanderbulit and Dockers might fit better the LB's and especially better than Catherines. I particularly like Old Navy's plus size stuff on line. I don't have much of an ass but broad hips and small waste. See what works. Happy Shopping!

BG Congratulations! I looked at your link to what you are doing and thought maybe...working out twice in one day seems a bit complicated with my school and life schedule...but I can see the benefits! You are doing so very well! HP You know the best exercise for weak ankles? Bicycling! You're going to have to reassess yourself again, because your ankles are probably stronger than you imagine. As for jumping rope too much of me moves independantly of the rest of me. Like my boobs and belly. I've read about the health benefits but I get too embarasses to do it for any length of time.

Pamela- You proposed?! How fantanstic! Congratulations! You were such a treat and Susanne was a lot of fun too! Who says talking about ironing is boring?! Matt enjoyed the conversation too. Glad you made it home safe and sound. You know, we will take you up on that offer. Should you find yourself in SW Michigan or Central Ohio you've got people to visit! Or more realistically, if you find yourself in Chicago, let us know and we'll meet you there too! XO to you and S. -
Cool pictures! The feet in shoes aren't nearly as adorable as the sandels. But very great. Just be sure you check the tree for rot before you hang it up! I read a story/warning about just that thing. The person got in their tent in the rain, heard thunderous noise only to have the tree next to the one she selected get blown over by the wind because it rotted!!!! If she had picked that tree instead she'd have been too dead to share the story. Freaky huh? HP I don't have an exercise ticker because I exercise so freaking much it was a pain to update it. (REALLY). But I could use something to make me accountable for ab exercises. I just hate doing those and of course that's where I'm the biggest! I'm going to the gym an hour + every day, and riding as much as possible. I got in 23 miles today. Yippy! It felt good to get back on my bike. I love her by the way. I'd marry it if I could. J

JC I too know how to pout and throw a temper tantrum. They go a long way to sorting the injustices of the world, don't they? Sounds like you have a plan. You'll still work at the weight loss even though a huge multi day bike ride isn't going to happen as soon as you planned. You'll succeed. You've got everthing it takes to do it.

Stevee I know it seems hopeless right now, but something will turn up. Explore all the avenues you can think of. You've got my sympathies. -
HP Talking about it as room for improvement is such a great way to think about things instead of kicking your own butt. At least that's how I feel. I gained 2 pounds on vacation, which I'm not too worried about considering I could have done far worse but it has me at the same weight I was literally a month ago. So instead of sobbing into a giant bowl of coffee caramel ice-cream I've made a plan...I have my first fill on Monday but instead of waiting until then to get busy I've determined to eat only 1000 calories today, I called the sitter for a few hours tomorrow so I can get in a 20-25 mile ride and I'm re thinking all my goals and how being successful at this part (the weight loss piece) is related to the other ones... BG- I want to piggy back on your words to JC. What she said. Also, you're a maniac on that bike! You go girl! I know about the camel backs, I'm so close to getting one... if you're interested, I have more pictures of me and some ramblings on Lap Band Aid It's my blog.

Fantastic that you and your wife are going at this together. 20 years is a wake up call, isn't it? -
JC Of course you're numb! I'd be too. Like you said, nothing is written in stone. Your surgeon is good to go exploring before saying all bets are off. He can't be happy about going behind a different surgeon's work, that's never a favorite thing to do. You are young and healthy. It may be saved after all. Come here and vent all you need. We really care about you.

Hey my cycling buddies. I'm in yellow and my new pal from LBT, Pamela is in the red. You can't miss the fact we met in a coffee/pastery/gelato shop! Oi. But don't we look cute? I'm too am worried about JC. I certainly hope his doc allowed him to keep his band.... Godzilla to Dracula? D, that's pretty funny. HP-Working out as a family is fantastic. You're daughter will inspire you and she'll be surprised that you're able to kick ass. WTG! BG- Welcome Ragdoll. Keep us posted on your progress.

This is Pamala aka Kity in red and me in yellow. She's from California and I'm from Ohio but we met in Provincetown! You aren't seeing things, we met in a coffee/pastry/gelato shop! Look at that case behind us!!! Aren't we adorable?! Thanks Eddie, for putting this thread out there. We'd have never met otherwise. Also, btw, we all got along very well...her gf, my gf..we'll be meeting again in LasVegas in January with the rest of the LBTers who can make it! :):) -
Hi everyone. I'm home safe and sound now. I need to run to the grocery to get some growing food in the house and into my body! That's what we call not junk food. I'll be running from there to get my daughter, who I miss so much!!!!!!!!! I'll catch up with everyone individually shortly.

Tomorrow I'll be posting pictures of me and Pamela...What a hoot! We had coffee on Tuesday and dinner together last night with a third couple (Matt and Tom) from New York! It's such a small world! OMG, we shut the restaurant down! Provincetown is a great destination....Walking down the street, holding hands has been such a treat! -
Hi Kids Forgive me if I miss some responses...I had to read 3 pages to catch up on two days... JC-You are a giant big 13 yo kid. Hopefully searching for boobies and drinking beer is behind you, but we know you'll make some dumb ass, dangerous decisions about jumping off of roofs or something else extreme. I have faith you're doctor is going give you the all clear. Please give us the full story once you know. D- Bitch ass nice neighbor, giving you a cake for you daughter. Don't you love that cake and icing just doesn't have the same draw or appeal it used to have? HP- Are you able to workout inside? Getting outside is horrible in this weather. Well, in your weather. It's been nice here. BG You're a mess! What's going on? A poop sandwich? That's pretty ikcy. Okay, here's a fun vacation bike story: The GF and I make plans in the evening for the next day's activities. Tuesday we said we'd bike again, the same trail, it's paved, by the ocean, on the dunes....well we woke up to a misty fog and the potential to a drizzle....so what did we do? We went to the bike shop and rented a TANDUM bike!!!!!!!!!! We rode to the dunes, which took a bit of conversation, considering we nearly fell off the bike the first two times we tried to get on. "Pedal", "coast"..."Bump". Then it rained, but we kept on riding, laughing the entire way, up the hills, down the hills...it was HELLARIOUS! OMG. We would have never done that a year ago. Today we leave the cape but we are going to spend the day on the beach. Tomorrow we fly home from New Hampshire. Glad to see everyone is doing well. OH, btw, I've been eating like a freaking horse, like I did pre-banded. A bunch of wine too. Heaven help me when I hit the scale, on Saturday. Good think I see the doc on Monday.

Hi everyone, guess who has internet access in her lesbian owned B&B??? I need to call Pamela about grabbing coffee tomorrow.... Eddie, Fantastic NSV! You've got to be stoked! Newbies-welcome. We're a happy little group here. XO -
Hey kids, D, btw, cool on the 32 mile ride. That's amazing. We rented bikes today and rode a solid 2 hours, though I can't tell you the milage, we didn't have an odometer, but we were on hybrids going up and down hills with the wind forever in our faces...it was rough, but so fantastic! I actually had to walk my bike up a few hills..I NEVER walk hills...I don't know if it was the grade, the bike or my fitness level. but whew. To answer, Zoe isn't here. It's only me and Alison..the B&B is cozy, the town is friendly, we've been having all kinds of fun. XO J

Hey I have wireless internet in my B&B, so I'm poking my nose into LBT. HP, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You rock Chica! You are fantastic! D- Sorry to hear you're not going to LasVegas, but I understand the desire to get a new bike. I don't blame you a bit. Can I say we are having a fantastic relaxing time. We just got back from the beach. OHHHHHHHH there's a ride across MA that started yesterday, and they came through Provincetown today! It's very cool to see all the riders. We are renting bikes tomorrow and traveling through town and an 8 mile bike route. I'm not counting calories this week, but I'm trying to be good. And the other thing, I called my Surgeon's office and made an appointment for a fill on Monday the 13th. It will be my first. I got my band 5 months ago and I think I really could use the support of a fill in my band. More later, J

Awe, D. You're husband sounds like a fantatic man. I'm sure he is! Having someone to share the biking with is a real blessing. I'm thrilled my honey is equally in to it. BTW, the Vegas trip is going to happen MLK weekend and we are going biking on Saturday. I have to rent a bike, so I'll be eating your dust no doubt. You'll be able to bring yours! Hope you head feels better. I know what you mean about avoiding pills...I do the same.
-
Good luck with that. I picture you having a temper tantrum with your bike and I worry about the little girl. Just kidding.... I hate the personality clashes that can happen with kids. Mine is rough and tumble and the quiet little girls and Zoe don't get along so much. Zoe has such a tender heart...I hate it when the snotty girls are mean to her. Heaven help me when she realizes she's twice as strong and beat the hell out of them... Oi

Hey gang. I just wanted to say I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow. We are going to Cape Cod. What is curious though on a different thread on LBT, another person I chat with is going to be there at the exact same time. She's from California and I'm from Ohio! She and I are going to have coffee one day next week! Isn't that a hoot?! It's a small world. On another note I'm fully into my third week of plateauing and I'm beyond frustrated. I'm hoping it was due to the stress of being school with an excessive load these last 6 weeks. (Today is my last day. WOO HOO!) I couldn't hit the gym as regularly and I've eaten better, so vacation is a time to relax and get into a better space. When I get home I'll hit it like I'm new at being banded. XO

BG- I will hold you to the offer to pay when you win tonight! Maybe you can bike out there. That would be cheaper! JC- I know your pain about car payments. I hate 'em too. Now if I could get rid of the mortgage payment. perhaps I should play mega millions too!
