If JC weren't hetero I'd still not be interested. If only JC weren't male and was a lesbian then we'd be talking. Oh hell, we still couldn't get married, but damn, we'd probably have a good time. Hey JC, is your sister cute? Does she like the ladies? [for real though, I'm not single and I'm not looking! I got the prize in the cracker jack box when I met my honey!] Really I tend to gel with the straight boys becuase our brains are wired the same when it comes to a few things. Like TP message balls makes me want to laugh/snort. I hit the link and really thought I was going to find holistic, make it yourself remedy with toilet paper wads made into massage devices. I've been looking at crafting sights too much. D-That's an awesome day of exercise. You're going to see your Labor Day goal for sure!

Wow, that's bustin' on you? You might not be able to handle my teasing when we actually meet. I'll pretend to be shy and not give you greif...for some reason I thought you were some big ol' tough fella. I'll let BG be the resident smart ass.
-
I think JC has a crush on me...you all think I've been crushing on him. It's the other way around! HP I'm so glad to hear you and your man (That's a Zoeism, if she meets half a couple first, the other is Your so and so.) are good. You kicked some serious ass riding today. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
JC You're single for a reason. Your soulmate is out there going through something too, so she can be ready for you when you actually meet.

BG I am assuming your boy is fine. What happened? JC That GF is a mess. WTF? I'm so glad I'm not single. Yeah, same gender same problems. Nothing like a psycho to make you sit back and go, celibacy has some good points. B I need to know that technology has more returns than it costs. I'm not a big fan of being a guinea pig. But thanks to folks like yourself, the tech companies figure it out then I hop in the mix. HP What D said. Sort this out so you and your man are good. Don't let hurt feelings get in the way. As for your daughter not wanting to come, I'm sorry it kind of hinges on her now. I get the message loud and clear she's not down for the whole experience. I don't know of any alternatives, but I'll work on it and see if I can come up with a different solution. Maybe BG can think of someone else? BG do you have a niece or cousin in the babysitter age range who'd be game? B Sometimes I don't get sarcasm...which is odd because I'm as sarcastic as they come. It's the medium.

And really the camping trip will be rated G considering there will be children present... I so need to pay for my ride... And JC, there had better be no last minute, I've gotta work, business. We know how you are. You make plans and work breaks them for you. XO.
-
And there is no way we'll see 100 with out BG. She's the queen of the one liner.

HP yes, everything gets smaller! I didn't know that until my surgeon told me too! Isn't that something? I'm just happy my feet are getting smaller! JC-I'm scared to know what you did to the EX to keep her from calling...okay, I'm really curious. I love an evil story. Well since we're going to see you close to your birthday, we need to do something for ya. Not a cake or sweets...maybe we can get you a lap dance or something. LOL! I'm envisioning a lap dancer trying to work with ya, while you sit in the hammock! HA.

aint this something I didn't know this thread was out there. Hi gang. You can read in my signature I was banded in March. I'm 2 weeks away from my 6 month annivarsary. It's hard to believe I've been doing this for half a year. I feel like I've just started which is fantatstic! I used to be DONE with any diet a few months into it....but this isn't a diet. I'm a big ol' queer girl in Columbus, Ohio.

You early adopters of technology are fantastic. I on the other hand don't even text message....I figure I'm talking (mostly) on-line classes, that's high tech enough. This finance class I'm taking right now is my only in the class room class I'll have in the last three year of college career. I took some math classes in the class room a few years ago. Thanks for the props on the 1X. I think calling me Onederwoman is a bit premature. I'm a solid 30 pounds away from there. Hopefully by Thanksgiving. And that's pretty quick! B- Broccoli was fine until I got this fill. And I'll be damned to give it up entirely. I eat it about 4 times a week and my daughter loves it. So when I got back to my dinner I ate it in tic tack sized pieces. It was slow going but it didn't get stuck and I got the nutrition.

Hey, This is something I forgot to mention... Yesterday I had to get a gift card for a friend's birthday. I went to Kohls. I thought I'd see what was on sale for me. They had golf shrit/polos whatever you call them. I picked up a 2x then thought well, see how tight a 1x is, maybe pick up one for the later. I tried on the 1x and it FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wore it to the party. I've not wore a one X, in a very very very very long time. It might have been snug, but it wasn't obscene. Thanks for letting me share.

For those of us who weigh in daily!!
OH Juli replied to ragdollx19's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Bloo, 15 pounds a month is fast. It's your first month and it should be fast, but is going to slow down. 10 pounds a month is a fast average but doable. You're rocking chica. -

I hate my restriction...sakes alive, it kicks in when I least expect it to. I'm hungry too. I'm trying hard not to fall into the soft food trap...Bitch ass mini meatballs with sauce has got me on the verge of a PBing. Broccoli too. Maybe its the broccoli. This would be two for two. JC-Cool about John and the state record. D- We all do heart our bikes. Well maybe not BG, she's a bike abuser. But I bet when she get a new road bike she won't throw it at anyone in a fit. HP- Hope things are well with your man. BG- We are having some crazy tornado weather here. How 'bout you?

Sorry about changing voices half way through that. Writing in third then first person. I need to proof read more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` I rode 33 miles this morning with a crazy head wind!!!! There was only 7 of us on the ride which was smaller than typical, but it was a good ride. Rolling hills are my favorite! Have I told you I love to bike? It's crazy this time last year I'd never have guessed it. The fact that I pay a sitter $30 so I can go is nuts too, but it's a small price for my health and relationships I'm building. I told my bike mentor person, Joanna, about OUR trip in Spetember. She's amused that we are converging on Ft Wayne. I think it's fantastic!!!! But I had to come out of the surgery closet to explain how we all met. That felt awkward. Everyone at work knows, and I'm not shy about talking about myself, but it's funny I've known her since May and I'm just telling her.... Anyway it was a great morning to ride in central Ohio.

HP, Oh sweetie........ Jealousy is bitch of a feeling. I hope I can contribute. If you take yourself out of the equation. Here you have a fella who has been biking regularly and he's met some new folk. The new folks share the biking interest. They've asked him out on ride. His wife too. But she can't make it. She's working, Well, he could go ride, get some exercise, make some conversation, maybe grab a bite to eat (WE nearly always get food half way through) and have an energetic start to his weekend. Or he could say, you know my wife can't go so I'm not going. I'm going to putz around the house, maybe sleep in, maybe mow the lawn... Regardless I'm not going to be with my wife, she's at work. I might as well make the best use of my time. I'm sure he loves to bike with you, but like the rest of us who've taken up biking I'm sure he just plain loves to bike and is happy to have the opportunity to learn more and do more. Now, chica you had him at 300+, you're going to have him at 140. He loves you. We joke about having to "break in" a new g/f should we break up and that's a compelling reason to stay together. It's a little jaded but the truth is there is comfort in being with the "ol' lady". So, trust that he loves you. Trust that he's just thinking about having his ass on the bike seat and not thinking about you thinking "BUT IT'S WHAT WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DO." If you can manage to get over feeling badly about his biking, ask him a bunch of questions about the ride...jealousy is normal, trust me I know...I'll save the details, our issue is distance and a huge difference in income. I'm a lunch lady she's an engineer... At any rate, you can either let the jealousy eat at you or you can say, yep, I'm jealous, I'm human, it's what we do, but it's unfounded and there's not a smart solution. (Having him stay home because you had to work isn't smart. He'd be missing a good opportunity to get more fit and make connections with people.) In my situation I can't make more money immediately and asking her to make less is silly. And she shares her money when she can, but I don't ask for any... You have my heart. I know it's hard. It really is.

MORE THAN JUST THE BAND: Doing Some Headwork
OH Juli replied to Lap_dancer's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I signed back up with my councelor in January 06 when I decided to get banded. I'm still seeing her about once a month. I didn't get banded until March 07. My relationship with her or the work or however you want to put it have been as important as my surgeon and nutritionist. Good for you for getting the mental pieces sorted. -
HP, I love that you posted that. An old coworker visited at work today and read my motivational quotes I have on my wall. "The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth." Made him laugh out loud. Any other faves out there? D I like "Food is not your friend, food is fuel." That's getting printed and posted somewhere.

Talking about wicking away mosture while biking...this is really a biking question.... Has anyone found a good way to absorb the mosture in the pants area? You know where the skin is somewhat layered? I try powder that doesn't absorb much....
-
Perhaps we could call the new thread "Crotches, Boners and Bikes?" I've been know to call a cranky person a "crotch". I've been known to be cranky too. It's true.
-
BG, Thank you for asking. It makes me crazy too. A million pages ago D tried to get a new thread started but we all just continued on over here. You know we could just hop to a new thread...too. D, I could try to find JC a girl friend, I'd have a hard time being a stand in however. Boys are fun to talk to but they are hairy and that kind of grosses me out. JC understands, pushing up on a hairy butt probably doesn't do much for him either. But I could be wrong. He might like his ladies robust. I had a German uncle who thought women with unshaved legs were "Robusto!". I was 16 and thought he was insane.

Well I am having an exciting morning of reading the manual that came with my business calculator. Calm me down.
-
You know, considering how competetive we all are...(with ourselves mostly, I'm guessing) if they had a ranking for the most active thread we'd win. hehehe
