Denise You poor thing. Freaking itching is horrible!!!! and then to be unfilled is super challenging. However remember the band, unfilled still provides some restriction. You think you might be able to go hog wild, but you won't. I suppose if you really tried hard to get the shit food down you'd manage, but you're smarter than that. Don't you worry. Try to step up the exercise and be hyper vilagent about what you stick in your mouth and you might even lose a few pounds. Good luck!

The brown top was the night before surgery. Six months ago. The purple top was yesterday. The yellow top was Septermber 9th, 2006, nearly a year ago to the day. And the cutie pies are me and my daughter -

Allen County Parks » Blog Archive » NEAT – North East Allen Tour for bicycles This is the specific page. The 17th is the cut off day for the $15 entry. It's $18 there after. I thought the day was closer and the difference more. Sweet.

D Do you take rest days? Where you do NO training at all? If not you should. I'd head to the ER if you are in that kind of pain. The little posts are fine. I figured as much.

NSV More like a surprise observation. I typically wear old 4X tank tops to sleep in. They are huge at this point...and all were dirty so I dug into my sleep shirt drawer and pulled out a black, stretchy cami with a built in shelf bra and put it on. I must have bought it years ago when my weight edged down a bit, but it never fit, it was always too small. So woo hoo, it fit. But it gets better. I go about my evening...and just before bed I bush my teeth in the half dark bathroom only to catch my reflection and I got a, "damn, you look nearly normal sized." reaction from myself. I have a neck and collar bones and my shoulders are squaring up a little...I had to pause and think, "wow". Sometimes we don't see the changes in our selves like other people see them. Last night was a first for me. Cool huh?

Okay kids, we are literally two weeks out from the bike ride in Fort Wayne. BG, again, could you post the link. I've yet to pay for my ride. Also, with ODB giving you a hard time will you be able to put the 40 miles on it? HP, you're game still, right?! JC, Do you have any pending projects at work that will get in the way? And launches happeing the day before? I'll tell you guys, I'm looking forward to the bike ride....my life has been crazy and I'll be lucky to get in a few 20 miles before that weekend....it might be rough, but I'm so stoked to be meeting you and riding! Could it be any better? Oh yea, if D and B were with us! XO

That is so awesome!!!! Good for you for getting out there. A slow start is the best kind of start. If you do too much too quickly you get hurt and stop.
-
And there will be no hugging. Okay, church lady hug. Shoulders and arms only....with the bodies a good 2 feet apart! HA! I'm so happy you are well.... Awesome awesome awesome

Aren't we a bunch of grouchy Guses?! Yesterday was my day to be "Eh" about everything. Class was not compelling. My study-pal was sick and hacking and snorking for the 3 hours we sat there. Poor thing, but if I get sick I'm going to scream! However, we do have a final-test study date planned. Alison and I found a few days to meet in Toledo next weekend. I found a 23 mile ride too, map and all that we're going to do on Saturday as well. That alieveates a bunch of stress...we've not seen each other since vacation and I get a little pissy/whiney/aggravated when I go more than month with out seeing her. It will be 5 weeks, not 6 and that is infinately better. And as much as I'm looking forward to Septemeber 22 bike ride with yous guys, I'd much rather see her for a day or two alone, before, than with a group of people I've yet to meet, with my 6 year old in tow, and sleeping in a crowded tent. I've discoverd I can eat toast in the morning. I don't think that's a good thing. Wheat with a little peanut butter....one piece. or is that okay? Any opinions? Rambling-J

Hi GR8! Is that what you ride? How cool!
-
Frank Call your local bike shop, you can hypothetical on the phone, and ask them what they would recommend for someone such as yourself. Know what kind of riding you want to do, off road, on road...know your price range too. You'll be amazed at how people who bike love to share that passion with others. They'll take care of you and not give you greif. Promise. Savery bycyling is how Lou, who has all but disappeared from this thread months ago spelled bicycling. You'll find his other compelling threads on Rants and Raves.... We mock it regularly. But all in all we love bycyling...Bike-ill-ing...I'm guessing is how it is said. You are welcome to join the discussion.

Shit, it's not sugar I'm addicted to. It's carbs...gimme some, some, some......... J

I weigh daily. I know not to invest too much into what the scale says...but.... I couldn't give it up if I had to.

D!! She's alive! School isn't a joy, but it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than it was in the summer when I was taking too excellorated classes at the same time. I'd just sit down and cry at times. This is doable. I have class tonight and the young woman I sit next to and I have become friends. She's an accounting major so a complete number slut. I can't imagine. Anyway, we talk on the phone and it's been so helpful! I'm going to try to get her study with me for the final. Maybe I'll bake cookies and take them in.... Yeah, I've been known to bribe people with food. Bad I know, but offering sexual favors doesn't get me very far, and I'm not about to offer to clean someone's car or anything! What classes are you taking? Are you quarterly or semesters? I do TRI mesters. 3, six week session per in the fall and winter, and 2, six week sessions in the summer. Xo

B- The exercise to calories consumed graph feels like a joke some days. I know I'm losing pretty quickly, but going by those measures I'd be a toothpick already. But I did love putting in 4:06 for time on the bike on Saturday. That was my all time exercise calories burned. I hit 5000 for the day including the basal.... BG, I discovered some liquid tylenol 3 in the medicine cabinet...I was gitty about it at the time. I know what you mean...hopefully the you can get some relief.
-
Nikki, I don't mean to be contrary...but I'm 5'2'' as well.., my starting weight was much heigher than yours which may account for me losing more quickly. But I've never heard the short people lose more slowly thing. Are you working out and tracking your food? Really 41 pounds in 24 weeks is 1.70 pounds a week. That's a good rate of loss! Take care,
-
BG Step away from the icing. You poor thing!!! Not to toss a pity party your way, but having a crap couple of days with a crap accident to boot, is a bitch. JJ is a champ. We heart her for you too. JJ, we heart you. HP, So you see what I mean? You've got to ride those bikes until one whispers sweet nothings and you're like, "oh yeah baby, this is theeeee one." D, Come up for air. We know school is keeping you busy. Hope all is well. B, Howdy ! JC, We're thinking on you.

Sounds like you've gotten the kick in the seat you needed. WTG. But I'm going to chime in, as a single mom, working full time and going to school full time I could be full of excuses but they all ran out. I got surgery to not be fat anymore so my kid would have a healthy, involved parent. Knowing I must exercise regularly was part of that decision. Not exercising with being banded seems very half assed. Don't you think? (Now, if I hadn't noticed that you were newly motivated I'd had been more delicate in my word choices.)
