Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters
OH Juli replied to AshevilleEddie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think the christmas bonus is surgery is having work's insurance pay for the lapband surgery....I could be wrong. I thought I was going to get a comment for ass chewing...instead I got one for handing me my head...funny -
That's jacked up. No spousal insurance?! WTF?! Do they cover your children? Weird as hell. Good luck getting that sorted out and getting what you deserve! I need to get committed to eating right again. I'm having a terrible time of it. UGH.

I'm 5'2'' At my highest known weight that I don't even put on the ticker I was 338. I was bursting out of 32s and 5XL. At surgery I was 290 and I was wearing a tight 28. Now, I'm at 220 and I just got my first pair of 20s! I wear 2xl tops but I've started buying XL's, and they fit nicely. I figure at 200 I'll be in 18s. I can't wait to buy petites just so I can get the fit right. I expect that will happen post TT, but it's on my list of goals!

Well you can't get those 6 months back so think of it as time well spent getting prepared to have the band. You will be all that much more successful.

Hair loss happens as a result of surgery for some people. I lost mine...I wasn't bald, but I had lots of hair in the drian...it was about 4 months out. I wasn't malnurished but I certainly had/have thinner hair. Just FYI

Wow, I've just come across this and it's my story as well. UGH. May I pretend that all these fine folks are talking to me too? Keep the faith; it's going to get better. JulieNYC says it will and she's a pro. XO -
I'm a 33, 33, 33 for each area. Most times protein are a higher and the others are lower, but if I'm a good third in each area I figure it's balanced and okay.

1/3 pound a week - Should I be happy?
OH Juli replied to VegasGrace's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Like everyone above said, you are moving forward. That's a good thing. Are you exercising as much as you can? Can you switch up what you are doing for something different? It might get your body to drop more quickly. Just a thought. -
You'll be fine. They'll be lucky to have you.

I'll be sending you good JUJU vibes. I'm sure you'll get the job. Woo Hoo! {{{{{{{{{{{{JUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJUJU}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters
OH Juli replied to AshevilleEddie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Awe, that's what I'm talking about. Great visuals by the way, pouting, rolling around having temper tantrums... I'm the mom who stepped over and walked away bored from her 4 year old daughter who threw herself on the ground. She kicked and screamed to voice her displeasure with my decision making. It only happened once or twice, because it's a lot of energy to spend not to get the desire effect. Thanks for not handing me my head. -
calorie free liquor = pills Oh, wait, I can't advocate that! You are ups too early. What's the word on the new job? (I wrote position then thought better of it...with this crowd.)

I am not trying to discourage anyone. Shame on me if I were. My point and it's been made a few different ways so far and by the fellas too, is that you are doing fine and being hungry before getting a fill is typical. On a spritiual or philosphical (sp) note, you get what you put out into the universe. [so I'm going to get a real ass chewing soon] but if you think your band isn't going to work for you, it won't. We manifest our desitinies. So stay positive. The negative stuff is happening in your head because you have unreal expectations or forgot what to expect or something like that. I've stomped my foot and pouted too along this journey and I'm sure I'll do it again. Please feel free to tell me what for. K? Eddie- Hating your job is a horrible place to be. Ugh. Sorry. Do you want to put me on list of 20? -
You can keep the shocker. I'm not uptight, but that's not on the list of possibilities. If I asked for a bodybugg she'd get me one, I just don't know if I want one or not. I'll hang on your opinions and maybe for Christmas I'll ask for one.

Okay, my turn... What the fuck?! The other people will be nice to you, but jesus christ, if you think you should be down more than 16 pounds by this point in the game than you are out of your freaking mind. Ouch I know. But the typical weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds a week, 2.5 if you bust your ass and eat right. So remember this is the beginning. This is bandster hell. You will be hungry, you may gain back a few pounds...The reality is you're going to plateau and those 16 pounds will help out your overall average. And get ready for the plateau because those really suck hard. Go and read what to expect all over again and get your brain in line with reality. And I am coming from a place of love. I just sound like a royal bitch. Really, the defeatist talk so soon after banding just makes me a little unglued. Either you didn't do your homework, or you forgot.Either way a little education will set your mind at ease and get you thinking positive thoughts. Hugs and stuff, Juli -

I want a Dan to buy me things. It's our anniversary weekend so I should be getting something good. I just don't know what..

TX Rock on Chica! JC If I recall you were riding right along behind me and BG, you were part of our group. Was it too much? Can't you remember? Too many Amish girls blurring your memory? We all are going to be skinny fit bitches. We've got the bitch part down already, how hard can the skinny fit piece be?
-
And can you scare me away from the shit food? I've just had french fries! WTF?! Not many, but certainly not necessary!
-
One day you'll thank me for that lesson. When you are out on a group ride and they say, "That Stacy knows how to ride with a group." Because people talk about you in a way you can't help but hear them... And you'll be all proud and shit. Okay, talking about group rides. Just today there are three emails swirling around from the women I ride with: 1 Let's take SCUBA diving lessons 2 Let's sky dive 3 Women Built Habitat for Humanity opportunity Is this what skinny, fit bitches do? I'm exhausted (and terrified of the sky diving) to even thinking about it. God love um!

Julie, It's been too long since I popped over here. I look forward to reading all about your thigh lift. Thanks for being honest and sharing your experiences with us. It's very profound. Juli -
BG How about you give me $250 and I'll call you everyday and yell at you like a drill sargent? That's some motivation! ZZ I'm jealous. I want one! But no $$$ for that kind of thing.
