Mrs H, you can meet that goal! We'll help!
-
Funny, eye of the tiger.... But effective. Yeah, I'm trying to find the desire to dig a little deeper. Dems-Reading the WLS for dummies again is a good idea. I need to read my journal from before the surgery to recapture my desire to lose. Good to know you gals are out here to chat with.

Good Hubby. -
You can stay where you like but the "group" who ever or how ever large it may be is satying at Treasure Island. I know there are cheaper places to stay, but it's what we decided awhile ago.

Develop a list of criteria. (What you want from your job.) Arrive at a final list of 3-4 criteria that best fit your problem. You can do more if you must. Three isn't enough for me. List the solutions to your problem down the left side of the matrix. These are your potential jobs. Assign a weighted percentage to each of the decision criteria based on importance. The total of all listed criteria must equal 1.0 (e.g., the total of the assigned criteria or weights must equal 100). For example: Criterion 1 = .3 (Insurance) Criterion 2 = .2 (Pay) Criterion 3 = .4 (Flexibility) Criterion 4 = .1 (Prestige) Therefore, .3 + .2 + .4 + .1 = 1.0 or 100% Assign a numerical rating scale to each alternative. For example: 1= low score, 5 = high score. Evaluate and rate each solution against each criterion by multiplying the rating scale number by the weighted numerical criteria number. (e.g., The weighted criteria is .3 x 5 = 1.5. This is the criteria number (.3) times the assigned alternative rating scale number of 5). Add the weighted values and calculate the final score for each of your proposed problem solutions. Select the alternative with the highest score. BG it's dorky, and but it works. Or just pretend I didn't say a word.

BG There's a tool out there called weighted ranking. It's great for decision making like this. I'll see if I can find a good website that explains how it works...might take a minute.

What is helping you succeed right now?
OH Juli replied to maryrose's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Writing down what I eat helps me. Not drinking coffee with cream. I'll just have tea instead. Also exercise like you life depends on it. Oh, wait, it does! -
Fantastic NSV!!!!

Diane, I understand about battles. I would love to have you join us. (hubby too!). You're such a LBT celebrity with the TT and all, getting you to be part of the party would be such a coup. Who knew there were LBT celebrities? Ha, but you know Dancing!!!!!!!!!!! I love dancing!!!!!!!!

You all need to stop the nut and candy talk... York makes thiese little mints that I totally ate the hell out of until I realized that they were stupid expensive. B you could just swallow your tooth paste and chase it with that chocolate protein drink. GACK!!!!!!! okay, Le Target, I have to tell a story that might not translate. But it's funny as hell. My friend worked there and she's the world's biggest smartass and can dead pan and carry a joke very far....Some woman came to the return desk and chatting told my friend, "We call this place Le Target" and Kelly was like, "Really? Oh, I've never heard that before. Wow, that clever, oh my...hey Rosie, this woman here calls this place Le Target, isn't that cute?!" Kelly took it to the extreme like while doing the transaction was still going "Le Target" under her breath and chuckling...it got to where the woman got sheepish and was like, "I didn't make it up...." To Kelly's credit she didn't say, "No shit dumb ass, I was making fun of you!"

B I how do you deal with all the unknowns, like where you're going to be living???? That stresses me out beyond words.

JulieNYC's Extended Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift
OH Juli replied to JulieNYC's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Julie!!!!!! No pity party for you, but I want to say Bastard Ass! There are certainly better things to invest your energy into, like you said, obsessing about surgery is one. Don't you wish there was an auto-pilot button we could go on when thinking about food (too much or too little) becomes overwhelming? I worry about trading out behaviors too, but having a handle on the concept should be a way to buffer it, right -
Bontrager :: CRZ+ Race They do. This is what I sit on. I'm lusting for my bike............

Hi, I was banded in March. My weight January 1st 2007 was 313. I am now at 220. In less than a year I'll have lost over 100 pounds, I'm sure. Oh, I'm 5'2'', so a shorty as well. I went to my surgeon's support group recently and was the only lapbanded person out of 20. I called the practice the next day and asked if that's his ratio of surgeries. "No, he does many lapbands," was the answer and also, lapbanded people just don't go to the support groups because the nurse said, "You are more independant, have less complications and don't seem to need as much aftercare support." Which I want to beleive is true...however I said, the presentation was so biased and not meaningful to me that I'm not going back. Perhaps they need to seperate us out. My point is that the only thing I feel that binds these two surgeries together are that they are for weight loss. Otherwise they are vastly different. How we eat, how we poo, how we think, our expectations....everything. So now that you have decided to go lapband put that bypass thinking away and study up on what will make you super successful!

This is more than a bump. It's getting closer and we really need to try to wrap our heads and hands around this. Who is still on board?

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters

That has got to be hard! My GF doesn't live close so the DD doesn't see her that often. But when she's here, she HERE. You know, not just hanging out for a few hours but for the entire weekend. MY DD is 6 and I've been with the GF for 3 years. My ex, the other mom has a steady GF that's huge in DD's life too. It certainly is interesting raising a child so differently than I was raised. (Which is entirely a good thing! I'll keep that piece of baggage under the bed for now though.) But yeah, the two of them found a happy place. So Whew! -
Hi kids. HP, I'm feeling or I was feeling like you're feeling. Just making bad choices and forgetting how great it feels to be losing. I say "was" because today I'm really trying to pull my self back to that losers mentalitiy. I PBed too much this weekend, in part because I forgot to chew, or I sat down to plates of appetizer's food and was hurried, and lastly I made fried rice and if there is one thing that's an automatic PB, it's rice! Duh! How stupid I've been. My poor little band has taken a beating... I just wish there was a reset button to this damn thing.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a freaking great weekend you had! Food, wine, love, friends...it's fantastic. We had our anniversary weekend which had us dining at one the finer restuarants in Columbus and went to a new club called the BoMA, the Bar of Modern Art, campy but well done...it was a church converted into gallery/bar/restaurant with differet themes on every floor... I got some diamonds she got some clothing and life is good! Actually the best part is the kid and the GF are meshing better than ever. That's tricky and hard. Life is good, enjoy the car! -
Hi gang. It's beautiful riding weather this weekend, but I've been busy doing family stuff. We got a sitter last night so I can't see getting one today so I can ride, as much as I'd like to.... So, we were at one of the fanciest restaurants in town yesterday and I had to PB due to a bit of poorly chewed cauliflower. UGH. But dinner was fantastic and we went to a new club afterward for drinks. It felt all grown up and urbane. I got diamond and white gold hoop earrings. They are beautiful and sparkley. A girl always hearts sparkley. Well gang there's my update. I can eat like a trucker or I PB on a nibble of food. My band is being the bitch that they can be. XO

I'm writing a paper about the changing role of the worker in the last 100 years in America, identifing the change in generations as it relates to the knowledge of the worker and the manager. I want to blow my freaking brains in. I expect with the turning weather we are going to be less chatty here.
