Exactly, I started to pull out the clothes I wore a couple of years ago and they were not anything I would wear again except a couple of pairs of jeans. I decided that once my clothes get to big I am going to immediately give them away.

Any August 31st Sleevers?
amaral1407 replied to dorothy510's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nice that you have graduated to soft foods. I cannot wait until I can, I am so sick of broth. I am still having a hard time drinking Protein shake or even getting in 5 small meals. My surgery was a revision from lapband to sleeve so recovery has been slow. The weight has been coming off rapidly which is good, I was advised since it was a revision it might take longer I have lost 32 pounds but that includes pre-op. Are you guys having difficulty sleeping at night? -
My surgery was 08/31 and just trying to sleep is living hell. I think the most sleep i have gotten is a total of 5 hours at one time. Trying tonight zyquil to see if that helps.

Band Removal Approved; BYPASS DENIED!
amaral1407 replied to Bobbe Schu's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hello I was denied at first for the sleeve revision but was approved for the lapband removal for not having 6 months of nutrional visits. My doctor did a peer to peer conference with the insurance and was approved immediately. I had surgery on 08/31. He sent in all the information on first surgery had the 6 months of nutrional visits and that everytime I went to get a fill or unfill I spoke to nutrionist. Hope that helps!!!! Not sure why people have to hire and advocate cause this is what we are paying our doctors to do. Or at least I found an amazing Bariatric team that did all the leg work for me -
Help!!!! I am stuck in a plateau, I have not lost any weight in 6 weeks. Been eating approximately 1200 calories a day and getting over 65 grams of Protein. I walk approximately 2.5 miles a day 5 days a week, and alternate leg and arm exercise at the gym 5 days a week. I drink at least least 80 oz of Water a day. Any suggestion of what I can be doing to lose weight? Thanks

Need Inspiration..how Much Have U Lost?
amaral1407 replied to fashionstylist's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Hello I was banded March 16th 2012... Pre-op surgery 286 weight current weight 186. What did it for me was walking, walking, and more walking. I made sure and walked everyday. Good luck!!!! -
Thanks I am glad you are doing well. I was able to go through the holidays remaining the same weight. It feels really good to know you are able to eat and not end up sick... Good luck !!!
-
I ended up getting .50 removed! I finally can eat and drink, hope this gets me through the holidays w/o gaining weight!!!

Need advice, I got a fill on Wednesday it was just a small fill .10 cc but it took the nurse over 5 minutes to find my port and ended up jabbing me multiple times. Since then I don't know if I am swollen from stress from the fill or starting my period but I am having difficult swallowing my pills, I have only eaten mushies. Don't know how long I should wait to see if I should get an unfill or have patience???
-
Have them take some of your fill out and try drinking water. They kept doing that until I could drink water w/o any gurgling or pain. Today I feel like a complete new person.

Thank you everyone for you advise. I ended up getting .50 cc removed from my band. As soon as it was removed instant relief.. Wish I wouldn't have waited that long to have it removed, however my doctor is 2.5 hours away from where I live....
-
I am on my way for an unfill also... Had .10 cc put in my band on Wednesday could eat fine on Friday and then it's been downhill since then, yesterday I could not eat or drink without getting sick. This has been the worst experience of my life!!!! Now just have to get to dr which is 2.5 hours away....

1/2 Cc Not Gonna Make A Difference?
amaral1407 replied to abs6angels's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I just went in and got a .10 cc and it has made a huge difference, if you have stopped losing weight or hungry between meals go in and get one. It really does help! -
Hello, hope everyone is having a successfully weight loss. I think I have finally hit my plateau and my weight loss has slowed down tremendously. Last month I only lost 5 pounds, it it looks like it's close to that amount for September. I lost 104 pounds in just over 6 months so I figured it would slow down, but not this bad. My calorie intake is between 800-1000 calories a day and take 60 grams of protein in. I walk on my lunch hour 5 days a week 2.5 miles, and try going to curves 2-3 times a week after work . I am suppose to have knee replacement surgery in November so running it out. Don't know what else to try except be patient but that is something I have always had little of. Any suggestions would be wonderful??? Thanks

Success Stories And Exercise Regimen If Any
amaral1407 replied to Myndkandi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Walking is what has helped me with my weight loss. I started out going very slow 3 times a week for 30 minutes after surgery. Now I am up to 2.5 miles every other day with going to gym on alternate days doing the elliptical and bike. I cannot run (need knee replacement surgery), I started with just baby steps trying to improve my time each time I walked. Hope this helps and good luck with your journey!!! -
Thank you so much..... I will definitely try this raising my calorie intake.

amaral1407 replied to Kami172000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like you might be too full. My 2nd fill I was too full, everytime I ate I got sick. I waited 10 days thinking it would get better with time. don't be in misery too long they took out .10 cc out of my band and it was instant relief.... Good luck.!!! -
Hi I sent you a request on fitbit. Absolutely love my fitbit.
-
You might have your lapband too full. I just went through that for 6 days when I finally when back to the doctor and they removed .10 cc of my band; and I feel like a new person. Believe don't wait too long!!!!! But after you do get sick my dr advises to be on liquids the next 8 hours to give your stomach some relief. Good Luck!!!!
